Hôtel Chez Swann

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast Continental breakfast was ok. Rooms are very good. However, everything is a bit noisy and the parquet floors seem to creak in every room.

Lovely hotel. Basics, but that all you need.
Restaurant right beside it was 5 star. Then there is a cafe outside of the hotel which has very healthy options, I got a smoothie in a bowl.
Hotel, room was more than adequate, large wardrobe and bathroom. Very clean. Mini fridge in room. Everything was comfortable.
Room did not have a comfortable chair to sit in only a desk chair and the bed.
There were 2 steps down to the room from the bathroom, I didn't like that for accessibility reasons. (I have a cane)
In room coffee maker but no services in the lobby. A tea coffee or hot wat are in the lobby would have bumped up my experience.
Overall great locations, easy access, rent a bicycle across the street.

We had an interesting stay at Hotel Chez Swann that started badly, but ended up being good. First, let’s start with the location. Can’t really beat it if you’re planning your stay around downtown. There were a few things that we discovered in the first day we stayed there that almost made us find a new place to stay. The water pressure was nonexistent and the television had no sound. The floorboards creaked pretty loudly to where we could hear when our neighbors took each step. We were pretty tired so we didn’t make a big fuss. Things got better the day after as the water pressure came back. The staff was nice and did their best to be courteous while providing personal space. The layout of the rooms are rather…unique. There’s a velvet curtain that separates the shower from the room. The curtain is inside the room. So…if you’re looking for a show as part of your experience this is the place for you. Light bites are included during breakfast hours. Because they don’t have a kitchen they provide simples drinks, pastries and cereal. No complaints, but there are plenty of breakfast options close by if you’re looking for something more substantial. Overall, setting up our base of operations here made it really convenient to get around as it’s in a really centralized location and that ALMOST makes up for the other issues. Come here for the location. Look for other options if you’re a light sleeper or need privacy.

Large rooms, nicely decorated, great location. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast arrived outside the door and included croissant, fruit, juice, yogurt.

Hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly. However the restaurant below the hotel played their music loudly until past 12 every night making it difficult to sleep.

Very clean, well appointed room. Delicious pasties in the morning.
Unfortunately room 310 has a window view directly into the main lobby and very little natural light.

Over rated hotel with Terrible Service.
The hotel staff are very arrogant and inconsiderate. I checked in overnight very late the staff chose to give me a room with a sunlight right over the bed. When complaining in the morning the staff were arrogant enough to say that’s not our problem I couldn’t get sleep and can move into another room.

Secondly when extending my stay a second day they decided to increase the daily price when I went online and Checked they are selling the room for $60 cheaper a night clearly showed they are a hotel squeezing out guests.

Thirdly they state they have a business centre but when you ask it’s not ready is what the staff say and provide no options to help you to find the services close by.

It was a really bad nightmare I tell you.
