Nice room, it was clean and nice view. Great stay my only complaint is that to check in as well as every time I needed to go to the front desk for something it was always over 30 minute wait each time.

Nice hotel on the heart of Montreal, the staff is fantastic, and the room was very clean. Being an older hotel the rooms are smaller that what is the norm in Canada these days, but very charming.

Conference rooms are standard run of the mill, nothing wrong with them, and nothing that has a wow factor.

Food served during the conference was a bit bland, but again is standard for a convention.

Un peu déçu de notre visite… aucun gel pour la douche, plus de petit et gros savon en barre. On est censé se laver avec quoi? !? Shampoing. Aucun rince bouche aussi de disponible. La femme de chambre s’est excusée mais ils n’ont plus de stock en inventaire actuellement et l’hôtel est plein… moisissure sur les joints céramiques dans la douche aussi. Nous n’avions pas de verres et tasses pour le café. Des serviettes très usées et trouées. La literie du lit aussi usé avec molton et on voit au travers. C’était vraiment pas à la hauteur d’un Fairmont surtout au prix que nous avons payé (près de 400$ la nuit) la chambre pour notre séjour.

My cousin and I were at the hotel for high tea. It was an awesome time with the pastries so delicious and the craftsmanship was great. It was an amazing experience and Shailah Lessard made it perfect with her bubbly personality and service. It was a great experience. Hoping that Fairmont Toronto will be as great.

The staff is very respectful, especially with the guests' choice of the language.

They respond in French when you speak French, and never switch the languages even if they assume the other language might be easier to communicate. I find it very respectful.

The location is amazing. The hotel is clean. Room wasn't great for a family of 3. The AC was lacking as it didn't cool enough. We called and asked for repair or check and they said they fixed it; however, didn't cool enough and since we were leaving the third day, we just accepted as a subpar AC system and moved on. The coffee shop and bakery are amazing. Location is great for walkability. Also only 25 minute walk from old port area.

Honestly, this hotel is far from a 4* hotel. The internet is an additional 26 usd fee + daily tax, but the Internet drops at least a few times per day. Which is highly annoying when working. The window blinds don't work, at least not in my room 1009. The check-in counter also takes long, and your card get wiped when you hold it too close to your phone for some reason. The food in the hotel, got good reviews, but isn't that impressive. The bed linnen are old, it has those little spots that an old sweater would have. And, when I came in, the water packets (for drinking), one of them was already open. The beds are also medium comfy. The shower water drops all over the floor, because the shower door doesn't properly seal. Which is a minor annoyance, because when you walk back in for a toilet break, you socks are wet. Nice.

The good about the hotel is that it's quiet in the bedroom, which is nice. Plus you have more than 1 toilet in the room.the location is good. The pool and sauna are relatively clean. The cleaning staff are super friendly.

Sumup, outdated, and overpriced. I would not recommend this hotel if you plan to work because of the internet costing extra and not working at all.

Très bel endroit, très bien placé à Montréal.
Nous avons payé un supplément à l'arrivée pour pour le Club Lounge Gold, qui est vraiment intéressant, donnant accès à des services, boissons et nourriture à volonté.
Chambre très jolie. Personnel très serviable.
Petit bémol sur les draps qui étaient abîmés (dommage pour un hôtel de cette qualité).
Eviter les chambres près de la lingerie.

Very small room and old. Didn’t like the hotel comparing to other Fairmont hotels in Canada. Rooms needs to be renovated. Staff are nice and helpful.

Check-in was easy&quick, advised that the view was upgraded, a nice bonus.
PARKING
Parking lot accessible behind hotel from Rue Belmont, $37/night w/ in/out privileges up to 4pm date of departure, mandatory valet parking. Provided w/ stub with #, which you can provide to have car brought to parking garage door, & a card for in/out entry. All valet staff are absolutely amazing& friendly.
ROOM
Rooms are recently renovated (see pic), nice & clean, magnificent view (see pic Cathedral of Marie-Reine-du-Monde), modern clean washroom (pic), well-stocked mini-bar (pic) (setup with a censor to notify of items consumed to automatically charge to bill.) Only drawback for the room was shower has an open portion allowing for water to splash all over floor. If height challenged, magnifying mirror is placed too high. The closet had a spacious safe& bathrobes& hangers. Closet light is linked to closet doors, if both closet doors aren't closed all the way, the light won't turn off.
POOL
Eric who works at the front desk of the gym/pool area is very friendly&knowledgeable. Advised to call down to check pool capacity (10 people). The hot tub was closed. The pool is very clean & well maintained. I saw Eric check levels & temp of the water (warm). The change rooms are spacious & clean. Sauna was closed. In addition to private showers in change rooms, there were showers by the pool w/ good pressure&warm. Ample supply of towels were available & bins/hampers for the used ones. There were also lifejackets available in various sizes.
FOOD
Unfortunately, did not try any of restaurants run by hotel during visit. Considered in-room dining, called down & were informed that they are not offering in-room dining due to pandemic; however, we had the option of placing a takeout order for Roselys Restaurant, opted not to place an order. However, I was extremely disappointed to see a cart that clearly looked like someone else has placed an in-room service (see pic). I'm not sure why the double standard.
FRONT DESK
During check-in and check-out, front desk staff were absolutely fantastic. However, the service received on the night of August 19 was very lacking. While most Qs were answered, it was with an unpleasant attitude. I'm not sure if the person was having a bad day or they felt the pressure of less staff, regardless it was disappointing.
GUEST SERVICES via phone
For most part, staff on phone was great & happy to provide any info. However, 2 interactions were not as good as the others. As aforementioned, the fridge has sensors. However, a sign on the fridge door inform to let them know if you take items out to use the fridge. The 1st time I did this, I was thanked for notifying them & told that they would ensure to remove charges. The 2nd time I called, I was given attitude & told that since the sensor hasn't been reset that it doesn't matter. The person seemed irate that I was calling &bothering them (which the sign on the fridge door indicated to do!). I did have a couple of charges because of this that needed to be removed at time of checkout. The date of departure, had another incident, called down for bellhop to come get our items, despite waiting for ~20min no one came. When I went down to checkout, I enquired w/ bellhops, they hadn't been informed to come up & were shocked.
BELLHOP
Dwight was the one that brought the luggage up & provided lots of info about the amenities & was extremely friendly. The bellhop that eventually helped during departure was very nice& apologized for the mishap w/ guest services (guest services' rep's name was Josie).
LOCATION
In addition to being in a prime location downtown close to lots of amenities & tourist attractions, the hotel is situated above via rail station (Gare Central) & Underground City Path w/ shopping&food options, that include: Starbucks, Second Cup, Tim Hortons, McDonald's, Pharma Prix, convenience store, SAQ, but best of all Première Moisson.

Never cleaned my room. The mini fridge peanut m&m were 15$ Unbelievable! You can go down to the corner store and get 3$ peanut m&ms. The cafe in the hotel was closed and I asked why to the front desk, the woman told me it's none of my business. There was no water in the hot tub. And no bowl of fruit at the gym. The fold out bed that the hotel claim were new was so uncomfortable I barely slept. And it was extremely expensive. If I could give it zero stars I would. My stay bad.

I'm a big fan of Fairmont properties but some are better than others. I stayed at this property for a single night on my way through Montreal and I was not disappointed. I checked in late and was warmly greeted at the desk. My room was ready and the climate control was at a reasonable temperature to sleep.
This has been a problem at many hotels where the a/c is turned off on arrival and getting in at 11pm with the room at 27 C is off-putting.
The restaurant is very nice and the building as a whole as well as at least the room I stayed in have been recently renovated.
I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

Too expensive, very small rooms, furniture is old, washroom can barely fit you, elevators are slow, parking is unavailable, waste of my $ for nothing.visited almost all other hotels, this one is definetally the worst experience ive had. Will never come back. Lots of other cheaper and better hotels out there.

What a wonderful experience we had this weekend. Service was exceptional, the room we had was perfect but our AC was not working properly so we were put in another room that was even more perfect and all within 10 minutes! Once the restaurant is open to full capacity for breakfast it will be even better. Such friendly and accommodating staff made for a wonderful experience at the Fairmont.

Can’t say enough about this place. First of all it’s right at the train station and perfectly located between old Montreal and shopping. Front desk was a big help when I realized I booked the wrong dates. Their both restaurants made our trip even better. Those reviews to follow.

The Queen Elizabeth has one of the most privileged locations in Montreal, especially if you are visiting the city on business. It's steps from many of the large office buildings downtown, not to mention that Central Station is directly accessible from the hotel's lobby. Just take the elevator. If you are a fan of rock history, John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Bed-In for Peace took place at this hotel in 1969.

Not about my stay but I was very upset when I was trying to book a room and asked for "une salle" and was treated like I asked for a salami sandwich. Was I supposed to say "une chambre"? What else would I be asking for?

What an experience! The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth did not disappoint. Their attention to detail is unparalleled and they have such amazing customer service. Thank you for making my dad's day by allowing us to visit the John Lennon and Yoko Ono suite.

Amazing pool! Quality hotel! Junior suites are comfortable. Not the most spacious but comfortable nonetheless. Staff incredible!
