Hotel Far Hills - Le Cedar Lodge

Good accommodations and lovely spot, if you are driving. The reason for the 2 star for location is that we booked our rooms for a bike trip and we were not warned of the 2 or 3 km MOUNTAIN that we had to climb to reach the hotel. At 68, we were lucky to not die of heart attacks! Not recommended for olders bikers, other than the Tour de France kind. Also, unless you have a car, you are stuck to eat at the hotel dining room, which was not a great experience.there is no other option as there is nothing else at the top of the mountain, no stores, no restaurants, etc. And you ain't going to go back down and up the mountain again in search of food.

There should be much broader choices to feed yourself than the noisy dining room where only one guy is to be waiter, manager, cook, chef, chief maintenance engineer, host, etc, for some 30 people waiting for hours to be served a questionable 3 choices of food. Waited 35 minutes just for the coffee dispenser to be refilled, at breakfast, which is a strong word for what it was.

Nice hotel though. However for the size of the place and number of guests, the services must be seriously improved and more staff added.

It is a nice hotel near a beautiful park. At the hotel they sell park tickets at a cheaper price. The breakfast was delicious, it is not a buffet but it is very delicious. The attention of all their employees was magnificent. Bravo to Danielle. Maybe I would advise them to have a coffee bar all the time. Thank you

Une expérience absolument parfaite.

Nous avons décidé de célébrer notre mariage au Far Hills et vraiment je crois que l'on ne pouvait pas mieux choisir comme endroit!

Brigitte la directrice nous à aidé du début à la fin, que ce soit pour les réservations de chambres, les repas, l'organisation générale. Elle était toujours présente et disponible pour s'assurer que le tout soit parfait.

Enfin un endroit où les gens et l'expérience sont les priorités et non pas l'argent. Nous avons quitté le Far Hills en pensant au souvenir et combien ce fût une expérience parfaite et sans l'impression de s'être fait vider les poches.

Quincey le chef cuisinier, nous a offert un repas simplement délicieux et même un buffet déjeuner à un prix plus que raisonnables.

Une mention spéciale à Steve et Chloé qui se sont occupés de notre groupe avec le sourire du début à la fin! Vous avez grandement contribué au succès de cette soirée inoubliable

Nous y serons de retour et je crois que avez également gagné de nouveau clients parmi les invités de notre groupe.

This hotel was booked for us as part of a cycling trip. Although I'm sure it's quite accessible by car, it is a long and arduous climb from the cycling trail in town. The rooms look attractive and seem newly renovated but our bathroom door stuck to the floor each time we opened it. The bathroom fan also ran the entire time we were there.
Dinner was a nightmare! There were 12 guests, all cyclists, and we waited almost two hours for our meals to be served. Since we had no cars, we had no choice but to wait for the mediocre food to be served.
It seemed that no one was on staff overnight. The evening receptionist/server left around 9 pm and guests were told the reception desk opened at 9 in the morning.
I emailed and phoned the Directrice Generale to express my concerns and received no response.
We would never stay here again!

Peaceful little resort offering great value for the area. Choice of retro budget rooms in the original building or updated comfort rooms, some with King beds, high end tv, mini fridge. Breakfast was basic but ample, served up by what seemed like a mother-son team. The best, though, are the facilities, which you often have all to yourself: walk in access to hiking or biking at the regional park, kayaks at the private little lake, and two tennis courts. The young woman at reception is a marvelous manager, but you do have to ask to receive guidance on anything, such as how to find the lake or receive free park passes. No information is provided upfront on check in, which might explain why so few facilities are discovered by other guests (which is great for those who do). It’s the site of a former ski lodge which is undergoing a massive revival into a luxury lodge so good chance to visit this lovely and affordable site while you can!

Un super endroit … chambres rénovées (sans tapis) mais surtout un service exceptionnel- le personnel accueillant et serviable…. Particulièrement notre serveur à la salle à manger … et la nourriture WOW

Un groupe de 10 golfeurs qui vous disent MERCI!

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel dans le cadre d’un voyage de groupe de 24 cyclistes afin de faire le petit train du Nord. Nous avons été tous charmés par l’endroit à cause du site enchanteur bien caché au haut d’une montage. Les chambres étaient propres, rénovées au goût du jour et très confortables. Quoi dire de la bonne table tout était excellent. Un merci spécial au chef. Un autre merci spécial à Brigitte pour sa gentillesse, sa patience lors des réservations et les nombreux suivis et pour son accueil chaleureux lors de notre arrivée.
Je recommande cet hôtel chaleureusement.

Nous sommes allés souper un samedi soir au restaurant de l'hôtel. Magnifique terrasse et très bel endroit tranquille pour prendre l'apéro: Bonne bière local ainsi qu'un bon choix de vins. Nous sommes agréablement surpris de la qualité des repas servie par le chef! Le gravlax ainsi que l'entrée de pétoncles sont tout simplement succulents! Le repas principal copieux ainsi que le dessert à la hauteur de nos attentes. La qualité de produit locaux à un prix extrêmement juste et le service professionnel nous a tout simplement séduit! Superbe endroit qui gagne a être connu!

We booked this hotel so we can be close to the Temple which is 10 mins from the hotel. Melanie was at the front desk and she was a great help. Great customer service. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good, Melanie & Quinzie helped us to serve breakfast and we very much enjoyed it.

What an amazing experience!

We stayed here for 1 night in the middle of the summer. We had an amazing experience! The rooms were very clean and not too cramped. The toilets were clean and seemed newly renovated.

The lake! Omg! I don’t think this place advertises their private lake enough. It was truly breathtaking. Although the place was fully booked, we did not see other guests at the lake! Extremely beautiful, clean and calm. The stars at night were also breathtaking. The staff were so helpful! The lady at reception was so kind, and managed to find me a candle, so I could celebrate a mini birthday for my husband. The breakfast was very nice!

There was a few problems though, the wifi did not work at all! Like the login page didn’t pop up to begin with and apparently it was because the place was fully booked so it was kind of busy. The other problem was that the place was understaffed. There was a restaurant onsite that we would have liked to try, but there was just one chef who was getting the orders from guests, making them and serving them.so it would have been a very long wait.lastly, the advertisements show that paddle boards and kayaks are available to use, however they were locked up due to apparently a recent accident. So we could only use paddle boat kind of thing which didnt work properly.

But overall I think this place was definitely worth the price. Check it out for sure! Will hope to come back. Already miss it!

J'ai bien relaxé dans ce petit coin de paradis. Que dire du merveilleux cuisinier. Il a su adapter les choix selon mes restrictions alimentaires, il a pris le temps d'en discuter avec moi, c'est vraiment apprécié et j'ai pu suivre mes habitudes Cétogène. La demoiselle mercredi soir était fabuleuse et avant mon arrivée aussi au téléphone. J'ai aimé avoir l'air climatisé dans ma chambre avec cette chaleur. Chambre très cute et le coin pour tous au Cedar était chaleureux. La plage/lac = woww! Seul bémol du séjour, c'est l'insonorisation et la personne qui m'a accueilli à mon arrivée mardi.expéditive et limite bête. Pas grave, tout le reste était sensass et l'accueil ensuite = beautiful. Merci à tous! Je reviendrai pour une autre petite retraite.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here, the scenery is beautiful, it is out in the middle of nowhere so don't expect a variety store to be next door but the place is so cute and clean. The staff is all bilingual and very friendly. The free breakfast is really good too and you can upgrade for a minimal fee. We are planning a trip back so we can do some more exploring. It's about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Montreal downtown but it's an easy drive there just plan ahead and fuel up and grab your snacks early.

Nice clean rooms and friendly check-in staff. Great views from the rooms. Didn't have AC but had a standing fan. Beautiful private beach on the lake with canoes and paddle boats available. The location was slightly outside the downtown, which made it more private and quiet.

Very nice place for groups or couples. Staffs are very nice and cooperative. Food was delicious. Nice hideaway.

Le cadre est très beau. La chambre un peu petite mais cosy.
Le personnel est agréable.

Point négatif le petit déjeuner que je ne trouve pas fabuleux pour le prix mais il dépanne.

This place is amazing, you can step out of your room and be skying in seconds. The staff is great, they waited for us until late to be sure we get dinner and it was delicious! Good breakfast as well. This is a very authentic place so if you are looking for a room with tv, don’t come here. You will not need it, but if you insist, go elsewhere or stay at the city.

Excellent place to stay close to Mont-Treblant. The room was well maintained, clean and smelled like pine.

En plus d’être au goût du jour, fraîchement renové, ÇA A SENTI LE FEU DE FOYER tout notre séjour, la bonne odeur circule jusquà notre chambre pr les conduis… mmmmmmm!

Merci au personnel chaleureux, une belle ambiance pour le p’tit déjeuner copieux.je recommande! Le paysage est juste un plusssssss
