Amazing hotel relax and clean. You feel at home the minute you walk in and it really feels like your own little antique spot to retreat to, after exploring Québec excellent beds décor and vibe

Very clean room with comfortable bed, easy check-in (entering using given prior arrival codes), and access to all necessary amenities. Lack of free parking and no breakfast on the spot were a little uncomfortable for us, but the vouchers provided for the restaurant close by made a good start of a day. Decent place to stay short-term

In the heart of Vieux Quebec, the combined restoration into an Auberge is magical. When you walk in the front door you are transported back to an earlier century. Be warned there are no elevators and the the rooms cover 4 floors.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. Could not ask for a better location central to everything you need. We were able to rent a parking spot in back which made it so convenient. Have nothing negative to say, we were able to communicate with staff about anything we needed or questions. Loved the breakfast at La Buche that was complimentary with direct booking. Would come here again when visiting Loved it!

A very cool and cozy spot perfect for a night or two. The room was beautiful, it's in a great location, and the staff were very communicative over message. I booked directly through their website and there were options to add extras (at the time there was valentine's day special) and a breakfast voucher for a neat restaurant next door was included.

Hôtel d’époque, charmant, confortable, tranquille et bien situé.

The team here was very professional, quick to respond, and super helpful. The rooms are fantastically decorated and you are right in Le vieux Québec. If you feel more comfortable with on site staff being regularly present that would be the only downside as their staff rotates. But they were fantastic to speak with both over the phone and text messages. Will be staying here again I am sure.

Amidst the middle of a blizzard, Le Clos Saint Louis stayed a 5 out of 5 rating the length of the storm. Not only did we feel safe but we felt secure each day waking up to power and heat. Two commodities you take for granted until lost. The secured feeling mixed with the beautiful decor and timeless interior, matched with its newer age appliances made for a one of a kind stay located in the MIDDLE of Historic Quebec City. Speaking of Middle, you are truly just a few short (walkable) blocks (3) away from the beautiful Château Frontenac’s Bay view. The location is so conveniently placed that you can access most of the Upper and Lower City with a simple short walk. Our longest walk was 10-15 minutes from the Cat Cafe located near Le Clos Saint Louis. Another plus is the convenience of a paid for voucher to a local one of a kind breakfast restaurant (La Buche) for each day we stayed. Atmosphere, location, price, reliability, of course a pleasant attentive staff, and much more made this a must visit and stay location.

Our stay in this romantic hotel was just way too short. Located in this historic area of town made our stay perfect for walking everywhere. Our room was very comfortable! I would definitely recommend staying here and will do so whenever return. Merci beaucoup for a most memorable 70th birthday celebration!

Quaint historic hotel within walking distance of the sites, restaurants and shops. As with all the spaces in this city, the room was fairly small, however was equipped with more than expected: nespresso machine, kettle, teas, sugars, creamers, cups and saucers, tv, safe, bathrobes, hair dryer and all necessary toiletries. There is also a communal kitchenette on the lower floor for those who need it, including ice machine and extra towels/ toiletries.

As noted, there are no elevators, just steep staircases that would pose a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Communication was excellent, providing key code entry details. If you are driving, highly recommend pre-booking a parking spot at the rear of the building if available as parking in this city is a challenge.

Included breakfast at La Buche was excellent. The maple syrup thick cut bacon was the best we have ever tasted!

Staff on site were very pleasant. Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay. The room was cozy and comfortable and the staff was great. Keep in mind that Old Quebec has lots of stairs. The hotel is no different. 4 floors and no elevator. Staff is willing to help bring luggage up and down from your room if you’d like help. We rented our parking spot from the hotel which made everything easy. We only used our car once because everything is within walking distance.

Once you walked into the hotel, the lobby is stunning. Each room has its own theme and my room is beautiful with old European style decor. Staffs are very responsive and very prompt to respond any of your questions. The location is super convenient in old Quebec. Thank you for your host!

We stayed for three nights recently, and loved the location and vibe of the hotel and staff. Comfortable, well-appointed rooms with mini-fridges and kettles, a kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, and serve-yourself sundries, and great breakfasts down the street at La Buche. Staff were friendly and helpful, there's coffee and gelato across the street, and you're just inside the gates to the old port. Wifi was great, bathrooms were clean, and it was a great spot to grab a breather in between explorations. We loved our stay, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy boutique for a getaway.

Stayed here during our honeymoon in July and we really enjoyed it. The customer service is excellent with staff checking-in with us days prior to our booking to make sure we had everything we needed to know for our stay and it was really convenient being able to chat with staff via text messaging. The location is great too because everything is within walking distance and if you book directly with the hotel, you get breakfast vouchers for La Buche. The building is lovely and it's cool being able to stay in a place with so much history in it. The only things to keep in mind while staying here is there are no elevators so if you have mobility issues, you might want to stay on the ground floor. We stayed on the 3rd floor so the wi-fi connection was a little weak as well. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay and the staff really made us feel welcomed.

Excellent location and beautiful rooms for adults. A treat as we rarely traveled without children and this hotel was perfect. We also looked forward to daily breakfast at La Buche - a great restaurant a short distance away
with big windows along Rue Saint-Louis perfect for people watching while enjoying a nice breeze. The small table set up for dinner for two in the hotel room was perfect for a night of takeout dinner, when the weather wasn't great for venturing outdoors. It was a great choice.

Hotel Clos St Louis gets a 5 star due to the the cost of my stay, the beautiful atmosphere of the hotel, it’s close proximity to the surrounding tourist attractions, and the staff. Notably, the gentleman at the desk was very attentive, kind and welcoming. When leaving he allowed me to keep my luggage there between checkout and my train’s departure (approx 5 hours). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and would stay there again if returning to Quebec City.

L'hôtel Clos St Louis obtient 5 étoiles en raison du coût de mon séjour, de la belle ambiance de l'hôtel, sa proximité avec les attractions touristiques et du personnel. Notamment, le monsieur de la réception était très attentif, gentil et accueillant. Lors de mon départ, il m'a permis de garder mes bagages sur place entre le checkout et le départ de mon train (environ 5 heures). Je recommanderais sans hésiter cet hôtel à quiconque, et j'y retournerais si je devais retourner à Québec.

Me and my husband we were delighted with the service of the hotel, the decor, the amenities and how welcoming everyone was!
One thing I would like to mention for future improvement is their system regarding shoes/ sleepers at the entrance of their door. We followed protocol and we replaced our shoes with our personal sleepers but the next day on our way out when we let our sleepers at the reception and we wore our shoes to go out, when we returned another guest took accidentally my husband's sleepers.
This shoe system they have needs to be a bit more organized or they should provide cabinets with a key for our personal belongings that we need to let at the door at the reception.
Except that little incident, everything was AMAZING and I would definitely go back and I recommend this place 100%!

We chose this hotel for our anniversary trip to Quebec City because the advertisement pictures showed a romantic, historic lodging in a location convenient to the Christmas markets and other famous sights in Old Quebec. It did NOT disappoint! The picturesque reception room was beautifully decorated for Christmas, as was the outside of the building. Our room was lovely and contained every amenity imaginable. Stephanie, Coralie, and Moana were the perfect hostesses throughout our stay, providing advice on restaurants, activities, and answering all of our questions. This was particularly helpful since we do not speak French. Overall, it was the perfect place for our romantic anniversary celebration - thank you!

We had a great stay at Le Clos! The location was perfect and the rooms super cute and cozy. I appreciated the make up remover wipes which is not very common in hotels! The only thing that was slightly annoying was the very loud air conditioner that would go off in the middle of the night. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!

Wow quel magnifique secret bien gardé de la ville de Québec. Nous y sommes allés pour un séjour en couple et nous y retournerons certainement! La chambre est chaleureuse, le lit confortable, le personnel agréable, les commodités sur la coche et tout est à proximité. Il s'agit d'un très vieil édifice donc les plancher d'origine sont en pente.cela m'a un peu donné le tourni mais il fait être comprehensif. C'est un immeuble centenaire! On oubli vite cela vu la beauté de l'endroit! Bravo, je recommande fortement

A really beautiful and quaint hotel with excellent service. The only thing I’d say is that it doesn’t have an elevator and the rooms are on the smaller side (to note, it is an older building and many hotels in the area are similar). The location is superb and allows you to walk everywhere. The staff at reception were amazing. You are able to communicate with them via texts and ask any questions you have. They were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Really loved the charm of the building and excellent staff. I can see the staff care and try hard. We enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect, and onsite parking is very convenient. My only two suggestions for improvement: 1) the light fitting in the room hangs very low.i hit my head many times in 3 days (this would be an easy fix). 2) The pillows were very hard - i suggest the hotel needs to replace the pillows. Overall, I would not hesitate to return. Old Quebec City is a stunning place to visit!

From the moment of check-in, through breakfasts at La Buche and the check out, everything about this hotel was wonderful. Perhaps we will ask for a lower floor next time -58 steps was a lot for us older folks, but there was only positives about our stay.

Extremely stylish, elegant and discreet hotel. We compared many historic-looking/old-timey hotels in Old Québec and we are beyond happy we chose Le Clos.

Not only was it immensely worth our money (pricey, but not expensive by any means), but it made us feel like we travelled back in time, all while maintaining top-tier cleanliness and modern facilities.

Staff was especially kind and accommodating.
We strongly consider coming again on our next trip to Québec City.

Beautiful architecture of rooms. We had a good stay here. Unfortunately, the TV was difficult to operate. But everything else is good, especially the location. It is in prime location and everything interesting is just at walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very charming and the location is excellent. There are a few things that would have increased the comfort of our stay. I would have appreciated two bottles of water placed in the room each morning. We had to purchase water at the local market. In addition, having the room cleaned each day of the stay would have been nice. If cleaning the room each day is not possible due to COVID protocols, at least new dishes and glasses could be placed in the room each day. Going down to the kitchen was not ideal to wash our tea cups and espresso cups. The room does get very warm. You will need to open the windows to regulate the temperature as it central heating.

The hotel is very nice. The employees are wonderful. These are just a few details.

Très beau cadre, très propre, self-check in facile, possibilité de réserver un emplacement de stationnement! Le personnel est très sympathique et peut vous aider au besoin.

My wife and I have stayed at the hotel a couple of times now and we enjoyed our stay with one exception and it was not the fault of the hotel. Noise from the street. For some reason it seems that the street in front of the hotel was a gathering place for people partying and hanging out. Also, it seemed that the location was a favourite of every person who had modified their car with a really loud exhaust, to try it out.

Beautiful cozy little place. Makes you feel part of the old city. Friendly and courteous staff as well. Had a pleasant time here.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. It was my husband and myself, we were there on a 3 day vacation.the location was excellent, just a short walk to the river and right near restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was terrific, the room was very comfortable and I absolutely loved that the bathroom had a bathtub. The hotel had great character and charm. We would absolutely stay here again!

Très bel accueil chaleureux et employés très attentionnés. Nous avions la chambre #6 qui est absolument magnifique et grande. Elle donne sur la cour intérieure (et non sur la rue), ce qui y confère une ambiance très intime et tranquille. Hôtel non accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

I was totally impressed with Le Clos Sainte-James! I would recommend this very special hotel to anyone. The location of the building and the beautiful rooms make this establishment a favourite place to stay. It is very romantic, and the layout and accommodations will make you feel part of an era gone bye.

The hotel was wonderful. Coralee and Sabastien were very welcoming, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The location within Old Quebec City was great. Pubs & Restaurants everywhere. So much culture to soak in. We walked everywhere. A wonderful little getaway!

What a nice stay! Friendly and accommodating staff, and the check-in check-out process was very easy. Excellent location in old Quebec city, and it's on one of the major streets, but it's not noisy at night. Good restaurants nearby, and walking to and from places is very convenient. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a lot of cute ornate details. It's a very romantic hotel. Just be ready to climb stairs as this hotel has 4 floors, but no elevators. Fantastic experience, and I would stay here again.

Little charming boutique hotel, beautifully decorated in historic barocco stile, so much attention to details, very clean, and is in the excellent location, the stuff was friendly and helpful. Very much recommended if you wish to enjoy true vibe of old Quebec City.

Beautiful hotel, exactly as pictured if not better. Yes the stairs are steep but they are beautiful and it feels like you are staying in someone's lovely home. It is only down the street from the Fairmont and it in a great location close to everything. Highly recommend the restaurant La Buche right down the street. Thank you for the lovely stay. We loved it.

The room was absolutely stunning. Felt like I was in a romantic movie! The bath was a jacuzzi tub. Amazing room overrall!
