Clean and renovated room, nice breakfast, very kind staff, and perfect location near the château and many restaurants

One of the most disappointing experience I had in a hotel! A hotel that claims to have the best location (it is but a lot of others do in Old Quebec) offers little services! No housekeeping for the 2 nights we r staying, breakfast was supposed to start at 8, today we r informed it’s later without prior notice, staff at reception who r kind but no experience and can’t help. The worst of it all, they gave us a room on the ground floor with no view, and facing a backend of another building, at night there was a fight outside and the shouting and screaming were so loud we couldn’t sleep! We tell reception the next day (oh forgot to mention that reception closes between 10pm and 8am! And no staff in hotel overnight!) they said that they can’t help! We paid a very high price per night to get this

First of all let me start by saying that this post is based on my OWN opinion and my opinion only. The hotel is in by far the best location possible for all your Quebec City needs, attractions, site seeing dinning and family entertainment. It’s centrally located behind the Fairmont hotel in a very nice part of Quebec. The rooms are very clean, modern and the structure is well kept. They also have arrangements with a close by and very convenient below parking. Parking in Quebec is horrible so prepare to either walk everywhere or pay ridiculous parking fees. The hills are steep, so these are things to take into consideration. Plan accordantly your days and make reservations for your restaurants too if not. You’ll be sharing a table with total strangers like what they do in France. La Buche restaurant is notorious for this.

As for the hotel… The staff is helpful and family. You have to though make arrangements for room service which is not a big deal. As for quietness… Well, you kind of take your chances of you get a room in the back of the building especially on the first floor. You tend to hear all the drunken traffic of young people being loud on a Sunday night drunk off their behind partying or a truck idling for two hours at 7 am or loading goods. The walls are thin as well, so you could hear people talking or stomping. Depends on what type of people you have above you. You will hear them.

I suggest getting a top floor room to the front of the property as there’s nothing but a park and the back of the Fairmont hotel with very little to no traffic at all. As far as the amenities. It’s decent, the bathrooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the intranet is ok and the TV is standard. This is good hotel for not paying the $400.00 a night (in Canadian dollars) at the Fairmont with the location and luxury of being centralized to everything.

The hotel also has a nice room top with seating, a gym, and there is also an easy access door in the rear vs the steep stairs in front. I liked my start excluding of course the noise, but i figured I once partied the same and those kids were probably college students. But it did go till 4 am with the noise. So, my suggestion is stay towards the front of the building so sure.

Refus d'annuler à plus 48h de la date. Extrêmement déçue de la politique d'annulation minimale de 72h. Aucune possibilité de reporter la date, alors que la fin de semaine affiche pratiquement complet dans tout le Vieux Québec. Ils auraient certainement trouvés preneur.

Very nice hotel and very clean rooms. The view was spectacular and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place to stay, when visiting Quebec city. It also close to many restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel.

Staff super gentil et accueillant, l'endroit et la chambre y sont très propre, rien a redire. Le gros PLUS de cet hôtel est l'emplacement magique: proche de tout tout tout. Avec stationnement disponible. Alors on arrive, on stationne et on oublie l'auto; tout se fait a pieds de là:) bas Québec, haut Québec, les restos, le marché de Noël, une petite épicerie a coté, name it. 3 bloques a marcher y vous y êtes. Alors pour le prix, une fenestration plus grande aurait été apprécie (mais impossible on le comprend bien), chambre un peu trop fraîche a note goût (température limitée électroniquement à 20-21c), that's it. On vous le recommande fortement quand même car location location location!:)

Extrêmement déçu de cet hôtel! La chambre n’est pas du tout comme sur les photos, très petit également. Pour 362$ nous avions plus d’attente que ça, nous avons changé d’hôtel et demandé d’avoir un remboursement. Aucune alternative n’a été proposée, aucune autre chambre rien. De plus, aucun parking nous devons marcher 10 min pour en trouver un! L’entrée de l’hôtel était enneigée. Très déçu l’hôtel n’a rien voulu savoir d’un dédommagement, aucun crédit ou remboursement, rien du tout!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. Notre chambre entièrement rénovée avec lit king ultra confortable, deux types d’oreillers (3 fermes et 2 moelleuses. La grande douche de céramique avec système de pluie et souchette. La chambre était très propre. Finalement la vue sur le fleuve et le château, la proximité avec plusieurs restaurants et attraits en font un hôtel incontournable. Merci!

Très bien placé dans le vieux Québec, l’hôtel est parfait pour découvrir la ville.
Fraîchement rénové il restait des petits détails à finir lors de notre venu mais dans l’ensemble l’établissement est bien!
La literie pourrait être mieux!

Perfect location in Old Quebec City. Very comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The espresso machine in the lobby and the fridge full of breakfast snacks were really appreciated. (Note: there is an elevator in the hotel - however, there are about 10 steep steps going up from the sidewalk to the hotel.)

Emplacement, fraichement rénové, très propre et vraiment très beau! Ascenseur, spa, Gym, terrasse au toit ouverture en octobre!

The hotel has refreshingly modern interiors while maintaining the charming heritage on its exterior. It’s location just beside Chateau Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace and the Planes of Abraham makes it a very good choice. It’s cheaper than other hotels around it. It would have been absolutely perfect if some parking space could have been arranged. The parking lot behind the building was compromised to build additional rooms and parking is not permitted on the streets in front of it. You’ll have to park at the Central hotel de ville parkade and walk your way up a couple of streets. Not much to complain about it since you’ll have to walk around anyway.
I loved the generosity of the staff, specially the guy at the reception. Note to management: he’s a gem, don’t lose him.

Bien que des rénovations furent en cours durant nôtre séjours (août 2021) / et que tous les services ne furent pas non plus tous disponibles, nous avons apprécié séjourner dans cette Hôtel très très proche du château Frontenac. Notre chambre était bien rénové et le service à la clientèle impeccable.

I booked this hotel last minute to extend my stay in Quebec City and was extremely pleased. Besides being very conveniently located in the heart of Old Quebec and beside Terrace Dufferin and the Chateau Frontenac, the room was newly renovated and very clean, with all the amenities you need for a short stay. The staff at the front were very nice and helpful.

I would definitely book to stay here again the next time I return.

Hotel (intérieur) et chambres rénovés. Très beau. C'étaient parfait pour nous. C'est ski in ski out mais pour visiter le vieux Québec. Chambre avec assez d'espace. Très propre. Excellent service! Quelques reno en cours mais sans nous déranger. On espère bien y revenir.
