Hôtel Port-Royal

Good location for visiting Vieux Quebec, the Citadelle, and Abraham Plains. Lots of food options around locally as well. Staff very friendly and helpful, speak both French and English, and rooms are spacious and beds comfortable (even the sofabed!). The restaurant attached to the hotel also does a fab breakfast.

I spent one night in this hotel. The location was great, with access to cafes, restaurants, and the waterfront. The hotel staff were polite and professional, and the room was clean and large; it had a TV, toaster, refrigerator, two rings of a gas stove, a pot, pan, and coffeemaker. The beds were comfortable.my room was in front of the elevator, and I could hear everybody coming and leaving the floor, so if you like peace, don't accept the room near the elevator.

Room service once every three days. The jet in out tub would turn on in the middle of the night. Management couldn't care less, tried to blame us? Sure, something stays off for hours then turns on (note: there is no timer). This is not a 4 star hotel.

My family and I had a lovely experience here. We received a welcoming bottle of wine. The staff are kind and knowledgeable. The rooms are more spacious than most in this price range. The patio is a great place to hang out. The shower has good pressure and hot water. The location is perfect to access maybe Quebec City hot spots!

Wish I had a option to give this hotel 0 stars. Cramped Rooms, Rude staff. If you are French speaking, they treat you different. Big shame to the staff. Stay away as there are lot of good options in the Beautiful Quebec city.

The rooms are very nice and spacious. In addition, the hotel is located in the beautiful, historic neighborhood of Old Quebec. The breakfast was delicious and the service is great. The rooms are reasonably priced and I would highly recommend staying here!

Excellent location, ambiance is very charming. Close to everything you might want to walk to. Maybe not good for people who have limited mobility as you'll want to walk uphill/upstairs to see the historic areas, but excellent in terms of proximity, convenience, etc.
Again, very charming room with exposed brick. Nice amenities.service was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the woman who seems to be the boss of the restaurant provided excellent services - just above and beyond. Can't recommend enough! You will absolutely enjoy your stay and create wonderful memories.

We found ants in the rooms one morning, crawling in the bathrooms and all over our towel on the ground. When we called front desk to have it cleaned, they didn't send anyone for over 2 hours, claiming they were understaffed. The manager changed our rooms but told us along the lines of "ants are to be expected in Quebec, if you want to change rooms I will change it".

No, ants are not to be expected in a $300/night hotel and you are supposed to at least give this some priority when scheduling house keeping.

Very spacious room but unfortunately the location of the room resulted in the worst sleep we've ever had in a hotel. Our room was right above the main entrance and we could hear and feel the door closing every single time, along with other guests rolling their luggages. The soundproofing is very poor and the elevator could be heard throughout the night. Stayed only one night so we couldn't change our room.

The deluxe plus room advertises that there is a Keurig machine but there is a simple coffee machine instead in the room we got.

Otherwise, the service we received was very warm and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located and a short walk from the train station.

Great location and the rooms were just perfect. Many thanks to Stanley, at the front desk who went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely memorable. Thank you Stanley for all that you did for us. Will recommend this hotel to all who ask.

Meilleure Hôtel de Québec. J'en ai essayé plein et maintenant je ne reste qu'au Port Royal. Les chambres sont magnifiques, propres et luxueuses. Le staff est toujours gentil et font tout pour rendre le séjour agréable. Je le recommande a tous!

Très bien situé. A proximité des plus belles vieilles rues de Québec. À proximité du fleuve St-Laurent, des galeries d'art, du Musée de la Civilisation.
À à peine 20 minutes de marche du château Frontenac, de la rue St-Jean.
Chambres spacieuses, personnel courtois.
Je le recommande.

My wife and I planned to visit for first time Quebec City, so we saw Hotel Port-Royal like a good for spent 4 night in there. We found a room super cheap so We took it.on first night we saw the room and was pretty nice for 2 people BUT the bed was horrible, we couldnt sleep well for that give 2 START STAR FOR THAT (first 2 nights).

So day my wife said "we need to say something because I cant more sleep there" so I approached to the reception and in there was a nice guy (I lost your name in the hotel room) but MAYBE the last name is Marcer or Marcel or Mercer (he was in reception on octuber 25th, around 6 to 8pm in the hotel) I talked to him about the problem and without questions or whys, he super nice said "no problem at all I gonna find a new room for you guys" he made us an option and upgrade our room, so for the same price we changed to a new, better and fantastic room, but We need to wait one night more because the room didnt available for us, one day later after move, he asked us about the room and how confortable us in there (that detail made us at home)

Also the restaurant next to the hotel, Amazing plates and delicious, super super cheap to eat there (than made us surprise because for how the restaurant is and atmosphere is inside We Though could be expensive), for 2 entrees, two mains and 2 dessert no more than $160, (I am a Chef in Toronto, so I said 100% recommend)

in conclusion:
We really really glad to stayed in that hotel, great option, great location to eat, buy or walk around, and also most important 10 minutes walk to the train station so definitive next year we will come back.

My wife and I say thanks a lot for made our first experience in Quebec the best one so far.

I hope can give you guys a 5 start but, the price, discounts and also the picture saw in internet (great deal) versus how we felt in the first room in the first 2 night, but the solution gave us and all that thing is better 4 starts.

Excellent hotel, unique design, and awesome showers! Also, very friendly staff and parking is a bonus.

Nous y sommes aller à la fin septembre avec mon amour pour pouvoir profité du vieux québec.pour l'expérience ca vaut le prix, la chambre était agréable confortable et spatieuse avec une magnifique vue par la fenêtre.la facilité d'acces à tout les commerces est incroyable, malgres la proximité j'ai trouver notre chambre bien calme, le stationnement n'arriver pas trop tard.

Délabré, le sol n’est pas droit, des tuyaux partout au plafond. La salle de bain est minuscule et sent la moisissure. Très mal insonorisé. Il y a sûrement des belles chambres mais on nous a mis dans une sorte de placard aménagé…. Le personnel est toutefois sympathique.

The staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking spot in front of the hotel is very convenient. Elisabet at the reception was super friendly. The restaurant is outstanding, the best breakfast ever shout out to the chef and my waitress!

I went there and chose this hotel after carefully looking for a good place which is in the middle of Quebec city and old port.the staff was very kind. I got a really beautiful clean room with a nice view to the famous Don vegan restaurant. I enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back again whenever I visit Quebec city.highly recommend this clean and beautiful hotel.

Old, rundown room. Definitely needs updating. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could feel the mattress springs in my back all night. Toilet was flushing on and off all day and night. Noisy and can hear people walking from the above floors. Dirty and grungy mat in showers. Would not stay here again. Only plus was the valet that helped me with my luggage and parking my car. Restaurant next door were rude and rushed us out. By the way if you’re planning on having dinner keep in mind that the restaurants close at 8: 30/9 and there are not many options for a late dinner.

Hôtel bien situé, bon service mais les chambres manque beaucoup d’amour. Les meubles et murs sont vieux et usés, même choses pour les salles de bains. Les chambres sont petites et très simple. Je ne reviendrez pas.

The staff is great, very nice and friendly, room is great, rustic but modern, the laundry is a bit small only 1 washer and 1 dryer for the guests.ample parking. I like it so much i have come back for a second stay.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and I had an amazing experience.
I was in the deluxe suite room with a king bed that was incredibly comfortable.
The hotel receptionists were really kind and helpful during our stay.
Located right in the heart of Old Quebec, and about a 20 minute drive from the Place Ste Foy shopping centre.

Personnel accueillant, chambre peu de chauffage, peu intime lit coller sur la porte entré, chambre petite et vieillot.

Chic et de bon goût. Excellent service, le personnel est affable et empressé de répondre à nos besoins. Très bien situé. Seul bémol: la porte de la chambre est très mal isolée contre le son.

Central, donc idéal pour visiter Québec.
Chambres confortables et propres.
Un voiturier gère le parking.
Les petits déjeuner se prennent dans la brasserie Louise dans le même immeuble.
Je recommande.
