Hôtel Quintessence

This hotel radiates excellence with its attention to detail. The rooms are phenomenal, spacious and cozy. The staff, caring. The food, delicious. Highly recommend and hope to return sometime soon.

This review is specifically for the garden level executive suite.

This was the second time we stayed at the Quintessence. The first time was magical! We had a classic suite and the experience couldn’t have been more positive. It was such a positive experience that we decided to make this an annual trip.

Fast forward to December 2023, we decided to upgrade our room since this trip was also for our honeymoon. When we arrived, we were very disappointed. We found that the executive garden level suite is not an upgrade from the classic suite, but instead a downgrade. It is in the back corner of the hotel overlooking the parking lot with an obstructed lake view.

We requested to have our room moved several times, even switching back to a classic suite even though we paid for the “upgrade”. We also offered to move after our first night since there were classic suites available starting on day 2 of our trip, which they did not allow.

This was such an unfortunate experience that could have been avoided if the room was not advertised as an “upgrade”, or if we were allowed to switch rooms. I strongly suggest adding a disclaimer to this room type and/or proactively alerting guests who have stayed at the hotel previously that this room type is not an upgrade.

On a positive note, the doormen and restaurant staff were exceptional! The spa services were also top notch. If not for the challenges with the room type, we wouldn’t have any hesitation booking another year at the Quintessence.

Stayed in the Clagett's Cabin just outside the hotel for our anniversary this weekend. Highly recommend! Front desk and door service were very kind and helpful throughout our stay, not to mention the breakfast was excellent. Cabin is right beside the hotel but nice and secluded for a little privacy. Rustic, but offers all the modern amenities. Great view of the water!

Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms in a beautiful village. The staff is really nice and helpfull, and the restaurant is really nice with good food. Also the welness is fitted with a jacuzzi, a sauna, a swimming pool and a gym. And the view from the hotel is amazing looking out over a lake with an island and a beautiful treeline this really is an amazing hotel.

I opened the TV cabinet in the hotel and immediately was greeted with the sound of jazz music from a CD with the sound of a woman's singing voice that sounded so angelic was such an unexpected surprise.and that set the tone of my entire trip. I played that CD everyday during my stay because it immediately lowered my heart rate and made me feel so relaxed. It was such a nice way to start the day. A box of chocolates were in our room when we arrived and everyday we received bottled water and a treat inside the bag every single day. Food was exceptionally fantastic. All staff from front door, restaurant, front of house and back of house staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome and special. The pool was an infinity pool that looked out into the lake. What could be better than that and it was very clean. I 100% would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the second year in a row. The view from any room in the hotel is spectacular. The staff are warm and always ready to assist in any way. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a vacation in the Laurentians.

The Q is a special place. The people, the location, the scenery, the experience, the quality, are all top notch but especially the people. Everyone: chambermaid, valet, bartender, receptionist, wait staff, every person is so pleasant and welcoming. It feels like home just much, much, nicer.

A truly magnificent hotel! It's cosy, luxurious, rustic, and elegant in a glorious setting. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating and really pay great attention to detail. Our room had so many fantastic details (not to mention an unforgettable view). A fireplace in the room, soft jazz playing on arrival, a gigantic bathroom (with underfloor heating) and wall to wall soft furnishings were just some of them! We got the bed and breakfast package, and it's definitely worth it for the breakfast alone. Their chefs are excellent at what they do, and the croissant before breakfast stands out as something special.

This was also a long overdue weekend break for us, and this place was really outstanding. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool, spa, or main restaurant (although their magnificent wine cellar caught my eye!) Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Cannot do better than Quintessence. Staff and service is next level, every conceivable detail is looked after. Every room has an amazing view of the lake. Restaurant is exceptional.

We travel a lot around the world, have a rich experience staying in hotels, and we can testify that the Quintessence hotel is one of the best luxury places. It offers an excellent service, quiet beautiful environment, and surrounding nature. Guest windows and balconies face a beautiful lake. This place is a must to experience.

Huge room with even larger bathroom than expected. We had a beautiful view overlooking a frozen lake and a real fireplace that was stocked daily. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Most impressive was service by employees. Great job Quintessence

A true 5 star hotel! Fully loaded and gorgeous hotel, that is a real luxury destination! Very expensive, but worth every bit of it. A great view off of Lake Tremblant, with reception to give to your every need. Worth the stay every time.

Where to start? Service was amazing. The room was gorgeous soo cozy so clean! My hubby and I came for here for our anniversary and we will be coming back every year! The mini fridge is empty so we can store personal items which is great! When we walked into the room they had put a nice mellow music of some sort of diana krall type muaic which was sooo inviting! The firewood was ready and placed so we could simply light it up.if you prefer, a staff member can come and light it up for you as indicated! We ordered room service, a beautiful veggie appetizer and had a beautiful breaffast in bed! It was great

Incredible stay! Came here on our honeymoon and my husband & I had the absolute best time. The room views of Lake Tremblant are incredible, the staff and people were always extremely courteous and able to help you with literally anything you might need, the pool was quiet and serene, and the best part was walkability to the village (or maybe having someone light the fireplace each night - its a coin toss). Nothing beats a stunningly beautiful room with extremely kind and welcoming staff. We cannot wait to go back! If you are thinking of staying at this unique and extremely luxurious hotel, think no more.

Service de qualité

The good: wonderful dinner with great service from our waiter Fred. Pleasant staff. Room was spacious. Views are lovely and location is perfect. The bad: tiny gym with very little equipment. Inexperienced bar tender and no service provided by the pool. $15 charge for parking. Air conditioning ran all night and maintenance couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. TV is so far from the bed that you can’t watch TV in bed. No food or wine in minibar. Chargers for phone on only one side of bed. No black out curtains. No room service menus in the room. Pool is only heated to 75 degrees so it’s still quite chilly. Overall a very pleasant stay but I just think calling it five stars is a bit of a stretch, it lacks the extra touches and perfect service that would make it so.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Hotel Quintessence in December. Everything that you read on their website is 1000% accurate. This is a world class boutique hotel which is ideally located on Lac Tremblant and a short walk to the slopes (or the valet will happily drive you). The service was exceptional all-around - very attentive, genuine and warm. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for the amazing meals we enjoyed. To the Spa - the eucalyptus oil you put in the steam room for me was a kind gesture and most appreciated! We would be remiss not to make Quintessence an annual destination. See you next winter!

Disappointed at the checking process. Our check-in time is supposed to be 4pm however when we go to the reception for checkin, we were told that the room is not ready.

Keeps waiting and waiting for a long time (more than one hour). This is not the service we are expecting after paying for a high price for the room.

The hotel offered us some discount and late checkout however I don't think it can compensate the waste of good time in a nice holiday for the annoying one hour long check-in wait.

To be fair, the hotel's room is really good and staffs here are friendly. So I change my review from one star to three stars. I am hoping this hotel can improve their process and get the room ready before customers check-in time.

Nous y avons passe une journée entière avec ma conjointe pour un spa + massage. Nous en avons eu pour 130$ chacun et c'était parfait.

Amazing staff, impeccable service and serene views. It was truly an experience to stay. Perfectly furnished rooms, great restaurant but above all the staff. It felt like home, but of a royalty. Highly recommend.

I was there with my family for a vacation.
The place is old but maintained and decorated well. Location is fantastic and has great sceneries.
Few minutes walk to the village so you do not need to move your car!
People are very professional and if you are not looking for modern style residence and enjoy a nice suit with high quality, classic old fashioned decoration, if dimming the lights and sitting beside the wood burning fireplace is your thing, this Hotel is for you!

Wow. Every room is a suite. The staff and property are first class. The staff are very responsive to every need. Best spot on the edge of Mont- Tremblant We we’re staying in the smallest suite.

The perfect Weekend get away! Perfect place to go sit by the pool, jacuzzi and relax or watch the sun set and take In all fresh air. This 5 star Hotel is there to pamper you and provide you with the best service and there is no difficulty living up to the high standards of 5 stars here, I almost felt like I was at Disney for a minute.

Best all in all meal/ experience I have ever had at a restaurant. This place is perfect in every category, the food was outstanding, fresh and delicious, the service was fantastic, polite, prompt and hospitable, last but not least, the location is absolutely stunning with a view, very clean and a cozy relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a beautiful meal and drinks! We Can not wait to come back! YUM!

That’s a best hotel I visited in my whole life! Everything was great, rooms are big with the lake view and the customer service is fabulous! It’s take less than 2 minutes to bring you order in you room! Everything is well organized! Thank you so much for everything! The only thing that surprised me was I asked them to bring a hair brush for me and when i was leaving they charged me 12$ for very small hair brush! I think when I’m paying more than 1000 $ for 2 night they shouldn’t charge for hairbrush! I usually get in every hotel and the didn’t charge! Although everything else was great! Thanks for great management!
