Hotel Royal William, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

Nous y sommes restés une nuit en août dernier, dans un chambre avec un lit king. C'était très beau, très confortable et très propre. Nous y serions restés une nuit de plus s'il y avait eu une disponibilité. C'était d'ailleurs tranquille malgré la pleine occupation.

Great hotel, very spacious bathroom and bedroom. We got a wine for our honeymoon, very nice staff we'll visit again. Nearby is a very great cafe for breakfast and lot's of nice restaurants.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. La chambre était très grande et spacieuse et la literie excellente ainsi que l'insonorisation. Le personnel de l'accueil était très réactif, sympathique et disponible.
Superbe emplacement avec restaurants et bar tout autour de l'hôtel, vieux-quebec à 20 min à pied.

Point négatif: Les lits ne sont pas fait par le personnel de chambre si vous avez le malheur de laisser un objet ou un habit sur le lit. La chambre était très propre mais le service de chambre médiocre.

Nous avons été très satisfait de cet hôtel. Super beau look moderne rétro style années 20 avec une twist moderne. Les chambres sont super grande avec des plafonds très haut. Le seul hic est le stationnement qui est payant et à deux coins de rue et le déjeuner n'est pas inclus.

Service was great, concierge was friendly and went above and beyond to help.parking wasn't that difficult to manage, it's just across the street.rooms were stocked, clean and comfortable.easy to get around by foot or by car to Old Quebec City, but also has plenty of great cafes nearby.

Tout était parfait, le confort, la propreté des lieux, la gentillesse des gens, l’environnement de l’hôtel, bref, nous avons tout adoré.
Un merci spécial au directeur de l’hôtel monsieur Painchaud et son équipe pour l'excellent service. Nous reviendrons!

Location was on the lower part and if you want to proceed to the old district you do need to climb up. Hotel is on a Main Street with no on site parking and you have to park in a low rating public garage with homeless people around off site - we had no issues but FYI. The service is 50/50 depending you you deal with. Outside of the hotel and the lobby is whatever, but man do not let that fool you - the rooms and halls are beautiful. High 16+’ ceilings, “stylish” wallpaper and bed, rain shower bathroom. Would stay here again.

One of the staff went through my bags. Remove two shower bombs place them at the foot of the bed. Place my alcohol swabs I left in the bathroom put them in my dirty clothes bag. I travel a lot never have this ever happen. Would have given this hotel 5 stars had this not happen. The front desk was informed the same night and next morning.

Response to the manager. I was traveling yesterday when you respond to my post. However I did screen shot your original post. Happy to send it to you. You edit out something from the original post. I'm done with this the fact is my things where violated PERIOD. I will never come back to this hotel.

Service courtois et professionnel. Nous avions une réservation d'un bloc de chambres à l'occasion d'un colloque et tous les commentaires sont positifs.

I was awakened by early wake up calls that I didn't request both mornings. On the first day, I spoke to the staff about it and they assured me it wouldn't happen again but then it did. I don't often have the occasion to sleep past 6am and I would have really liked to do that here. It ruined my stay. Also, the staff has full control of the room temperature which was annoying as it was too warm. Rooms were otherwise clean, spacious and new.

Nestled in the heart of the city. Friendly staff. Most of the historic spots are walking distance from the hotel. If you’re looking for a nice view, good sized bed and would prefer to experience the culture of the city stay at this hotel is highly recommended. The eateries Metro/i.e local grocery is also walking distance from the hotel. It has a dedicated laundry room. Underground Parking is available for an additional fee.

Excellent location for walking the city and meandering in Old Quebec. It seemed that for the front desk service we were an imposition on their work. The parking directions were horrendous, given a sheet written in French, given the wrong directions, so drove around on one way streets listening to maps telling me I'm going the wrong way. Was sent to a very sketchy area. Finally gave up and returned to front desk, only to discover that the parking garage was kitty corner to the front door. Had the staff come around the desk and walked to the front door and pointed out the entrance, I would have been more generous in my review of them. Also, I wonder if they are aware that most public places have heightened their awareness about environmental sensitivities? The days of dousing oneself in an overabundance of perfume or cologne are verboten in most places these days. The coffee machine in the room did not work, the fridge was leaking and not working, had to make our own bed. Asked for 2 Queen beds and one was a Murphy bed that we had to set up. Wouldn't return and won't recommend. Didn't bother telling the front desk as we figured they wouldn't be interested. Once we received the bill, a parking charge of $22 + taxes was included. However, when we left the parking garage we had to pay $16. Addressed this overcharge a week ago and still no response.

Jai bien aimé, mais on nous offre le stationnement inclus a 22$ par jour apres etre stationné et la réceptionniste avait mal prise en note le paiement en argent.

I would not book here again. I paid careful attention to booking a hotel that was pet-friendly. When I got to the hotel, I was informed that cats are not considered part of their pet policy, only dogs. When I asked for a refund to book at a different hotel, they refused. Instead, they forced me to downgrade my room option, yet still charged me the same price as my initial booking (which was for an upgraded, deluxe suite). Not only was their policy untrue (last I checked, cats were common household pets), but they also were inflexible with options in the situation charging me the same price for two very different rooms. I will not be staying here again.

Loved the hotel, spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Delicious restaurants near by and in walking distance to sightseeing locations.
