Houston Avenue Bar & Grill - Airport Montreal (YUL)

Ordered fish & chips. Fish were dry and appeared to be processed fish patties (they were identical in shape and size). Service was cursory at best.

Spent like 3 or 4 hours here during the time between checking out of the hotel and before our flight. They were very nice and accommodating. Both servers were very friendly and the food wasn't too bad either.

Horrible service would leave 0 stars if possible.
Food is mediocre, definitely not worth the cost, even for an airport meal.
Got the grilled chicken sandwich, basic chicken breast with a little mango puree.

Great spot in the american departure wing. There are several other restaurants near by, this spot offers the most variety in their menu and items most people will be familiar with.

Pricing is atrocious as expected from the airport. However, the customer service here was suprisingly good. Further. The food was quite delightful, very well done. Given the lack of quality options at an airport, this is a great spot for some qulity food. The staff are super friendly and ready to help you. Definitely recommend this spot for those traveling through this wing of the airport.

The service was quick super quick
We ordered our Nachos appetizer and got it within 15min, i would have put a big more cheese and 2 cups of salsa instead of 1.
We both ordered the mediteranean salmon and for my part, it was absolutely delicious. But the other salmon was not cooked. We returned and were told the plate would be done anew then 10 minutes later it came back with a surflow of veggies to hide that its been simply reheated. So they then made a whole new plate and the salmon was yet again still uncooked. I hope my girlfriend wont get sick because she took a bite of each uncooked fish.
The restaurant manager did not even excuse himself but simply pointed out that we shouldve accepted the reheated plate from the first serving also that the new fish was edible.
Thankfully the 2nd salmon plate was not charged and the appetizer was credited but we were left with a sour taste from the managment side of things.

Have been there about 2 times and invariably the food was served late both the times. I came to the restaurant at about 1: 00 PM and ordered chicken wings. There were about 4 parties who came after me. All of them were getting served. My Order was served at 1: 35PM. A good 35 minutes. I can understand if the restaurant was very busy. Bu this was normal traffic. I would hate to be there if I have a connection and wanted to pick up something quick before the flight.

Pretty good spot for a quick breakfast before taking off. Like any other airport amenity, prepare to pay!

Atrocious service.not even a welcome, the first thing said to me is "are you expecting to stay long? Because we don't have much time for you". Credit card reader also had a problem. I couldn't pay my food without giving a big tip.staff wouldn't help me.nobody spoke french, no smile at all.this place is a fraud

Very bad food. Good service although it can improve. It says closes at 8pm but at 7.10 pm we are told we have to leave that is closing! So 8 or 7? What time do you close?

The order arrived after 45 to 60 minutes, dry, cold and no taste. In addition to that, their wireless payment terminals did not work thst day ‍️. Seriously

Je suis très déçu par mon expérience dans ce restaurant. Le service était trop long et désorganisé, nous avons attendu très longtemps pour recevoir nos plat. Les portions étaient décevantes et le goût n'était pas au rendez-vous. De plus, les prix étaient très élevés par rapport à la qualité de la nourriture. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant et je n'y retournerai pas.

Food is pretty average but the service is great. It is an airport restaurant so expectations for food are not that high.

Carol-an was such a pleasure at the bar. Her smile lit up the restaurant and made you feel so welcome. She's a great asset to your restaurant!

I recommend: ribs and sweet potato fries. I got regular fries and they were not good but my friend got sweet potato fries and they were delish

The most ridiculous customers relations I’ve seen. About half of tables in the restaurant are free, huge line and hostess screaming on people that 1.5 hour wait time to get any food! Once seated waiter says it’s just 30 minutes to get main dish, in reality took 25 minutes to get everything we ordered! Tried to talk to hostess but she pretended she doesn’t speak English…

J'ai pris un burger. Il était bon mais les portion etait petite pour le prix demander. De plus dans les choix pour le type les choix commence a 18% au lieu de 15%, un peu ordinaire

They do NOT accept Priority Pass. Our waitress kept saying the machine to accept Priority Pass was broken.

Service was slow (40 min for appetizers) but food was decent.

Very good, a step up from your usual airport bland and expensive food. Waiter was very nice and worked hard.

AVOID this place at all cost. Bad food, unfair & very rude / poor service. The fries tasted burnt, other food were also bland & old. All the staff behaved like they have given up on life & went out of their way to make you feel unwelcome & unwanted. Our (a female) server treated us really unfairly and condescendingly. She was racist. We even witnessed some staff yelling at customers! Unbelievable!

You will also highly likely miss your flight if you dine here; food took 30 mins to come to table.

Regretted not settling at Starbucks for a hot bagel & flat white. No service is better than bad service after all!

This is my go to Restaurant at YUL. Service can take a while due to a very busy kitchen the server will always warn you of the wait time to get food when she seats you.
The Houston Poutine is great typical poutine with shave prime beef (over priced, but its good enough i say worth it). The salads are large.i hear the chicken tenders are awesome. The burgers, those i have to say are the reason for only 4 stars instead of 5. Avoid the burgers.dry hockey pucks on a toasted crunchy bun. (Outside of the bun is crunchy, inside is soft) the toppings they put on are minimal and barely there. Honestly i could have got a better burger from a fast food chain for half the price even by airport standards.

Super long wait. Only received partial order. Charged full price anyway. When in Trudeau Airport, keep walking by. Don't stop.

Was told they can deny priority pass and came up with the excuse that the “priority pass machine” was down. Will be sending a complaint to the priority pass company. Go to the Irish pub nearby instead, they’ve got poutine.

At least it's open. A lot of airports don't have restaurants with service anymore due to labour supply constraints.

If the only reason you're coming here is the Priority Pass credit, don't come. Was told that the Priority Pass machine is broken and couldn't use the credit. Otherwise, it was decent airport food with a limited drink selection.

1/2 h pour prendre la commande malgré qu on lui ai fait signe 2 fois. 1 heure pour recevoir une soupe à l'oignon et salade cesar alors qu on avait commandé 2 soupes. Rendu là c'était rendu l heure de l embarquement, on laisse faire la 2e soupes et se dépêchent à souper. Portion pour enfant mais prix pour bien nantis.

Food: Not worth it. I ordered à club sandwich. It was chicken salad instead. The negroni was pretty good. Nice staff.

Their food was way too spicy, but there's no mention in the menu about it. Also I ordered a salmon which was with a strong taste of dirt. It doesn't worth it for the price range.

What can I say - this was a truly awful experience. The bartender wasn’t attentive to customers, the kitchen took a long time (over 30 min to deliver food), the coffee tasted watered down & burnt, their are a lot of flies around bar area, the food was gross and I have had a plastic taste in my mouth for past 30 minutes. I am actually impressed with how bad it was, it’s almost as if they went out of their way in trying to create the worst possible dining experience.

This should be a 1, but they had the World Cup on tv so +1 star

Horrible, even by airport standards. And if everything was half the price, it wouldn't have changed the experience.

Cesar salad was functional, and that was about it. The flagship burger was lukewarm at best, dry, and sweet. The sweetness of the BBQ sauce was such that I forgot it had bacon. The cheese felt like a refrigerator had shut off for a couple days with the creme cheese inside. Most importantly, the meat was overcooked, dry, falvorless, and dry - even hard - on the outside.

They say they accept lounge key members but it is not true. Bad service, you feel you bother their employees
