Amazing experience at Manoir Hovey, superb location… We had one night including breakfast (business conference) … Unbelievable attention to detail… cleanliness and superb meals… we’ll be back with the children and grandchildren very shortly.

Nos séjours ici sont toujours parfaits. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec la vue sur le lac. Le restaurant le Hatley est un incontournable de la gastronomie.

Ce sera très bien dès les travaux de la piscine 4 saisons complétés car c'est un très bel endroit.

L’expérience vécue au restaurant était loin d’être à la hauteur et ne valait absolument pas le prix payé.
Le sommelier incapable de décrire les vins de la carte des vins sans plus que des descriptions génériques d’un cépage, ou encore « il est très bon ».
La cuisine n’a pas été en mesure de respecter notre demande face à mon intolérance alimentaire.
Un 2% de frais administratif s’est ajouté à la facture sans que personne nous explique en amont que c’est du pourboire pour les gens de la cuisine.

Dommage que le manque d’offre dans la région ne pousse pas l’établissement à se moderniser et offrir la qualité et l’expérience qui serait attendue avec cette gamme de Relais et château.

Just brilliant. We booked through our amex FHR benefit, and they upgraded us to a chalet. It came with a $100 food benefit, and we got dinner at the tap room. We also got breakfast the next day at le hatley and that was amazing and too much food. In terms of the room, we were in awe with the view (summer in that chalet must be a dream), beds were great, the bathroom outstanding with the best bidet ever. The tub was beautiful as well. The way they treated us was also very nice and the staff were highly bilingual which was very helpful for us. Highly recommend this hotel.

If you want class, charm, peace and sophistication, this is the place. Dining is an experience by itself and rooms are spacious with wonderful lake view. Will be back for more

Tout est sublime vraiment mais jusqu'au moment où vous mangez à côté du chien de la table voisine.sa brise le romantisme.

Excellente expérience tant au niveau de l'hôtel qu'au point de vue du restaurant. Un cadre idéal, magnifique domaine sur le lac et un personnel aux petits soins.
Côté restauration, un chef qui execute des plats à la perfection. Chaque aliment dans l'assiette est mis en valeur et donne des émotions à chaque bouchée.
Le manoir est de plus très bien situé avec des randonnées très jolies à quelques minutes, et des mignonnes petites villes à proximité pleines de charme.
En résumé, allez y les yeux fermés!

I love this hotel. It’s located beside a small lake. The view is stunning. The on site restaurants are both delicious. And the best part is they have 30% off right now Sunday through Thursday …so if you don’t mind some unsightly views it’s a fantastic deal

Had a wonderful time at Manoir Hovey. The service is outstanding at every level. Beautiful setting on the lake. Excellent food in both restaurants. I should have asked the name of our waiter Friday night in the tap room. We were a group of 8, he was outstanding and made the night special. Beautiful rooms, spotless and well appointed. The construction was well managed. Visually it affects the property but no disturbances. The service and discount more than made up for it. Hope to return once the new spa is completed. We were very pleasantly surprised how accessible the area is from Boston. Everywhere we went was surrounded by beauty, welcoming people and great food.

The service is the most professional that I've experienced in a long time. The rooms are exceedingly comfortable and well appointed. The view of the lake is gorgeous. The food in the main dining room is a gastronomic experience and the pub has delicious oysters and burgers.
If you want to have a perfect get-a-way the staff at Hovey know what they are doing and they care if you are happy. That is rare these days, n'est-ce pas? I was with my husband but I am writing an article about solo travel and this Inn will be featured as one of the best!

Absolutely stunning location by the lake. Outstanding food and service. We went the the tap room and the chef had a great array of dishes for everyone's different taste. Wine was well paired with main dishes.

Séjour de charme absolu, dans la magie du temps des Fêtes! C’était notre première visite ici, mais nous reviendrons, c’est chose certaine. À notre arrivée, on nous transfère avec le sourire dans une autre chambre que celle qui nous avait été attitrée initialement pour satisfaire notre envie de foyer au bois. Résultat, on nous propose une chambre champêtre avec vue sur le Lac située dans un petit pavillon à l’écart du bâtiment principal (40 secondes de marche) et nous sommes ravis. C’est tout aussi bien car ça nous permet de prendre une bouffée d’air frais après chacun des succulents repas dégustés aux restaurants du Manoir pendant notre séjour, le Hatley et le Tap room. Le personnel est attentionné, le service soigné et la magie opère - photos à l’appui. Un grand merci!

Cancelled due to COVID and restrictions

We spent two nights at Hovey Manor to celebrate a special birthday - our first trip anywhere since Covid started. The setting is beautiful - though, as we are lucky enough to live on a lake ourselves, it probably had less impact than for many! The service was friendly and generally excellent - I particularly appreciated a helpful conversation with the concierge, Marc-Andre. Given a rather late booking, our room was not the best appointed but was very comfortable, with everything we needed.

But the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly our 'birthday feast', the Discovery Menu in Le Hatley - a wonderful, leisurely meal to remember, with really interesting wine pairings. Breakfast, too, was exceptional, the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. One small criticism, though; although we were served coffee promptly, it took more than half an hour after we were seated for our breakfast order to be taken. On a grey, wet day, we were happy to assume a leisurely pace, but it felt a little too slow.

Oh, and the massages were pretty good! I think I understood that there is a more comprehensive 'spa' planned for the future.

We loved sitting on the Tap Room terrace and watching the sun go down and especially appreciated the infra-red heater above our heads after the damp day. We were less enthusiastic about the food - given the quality of Le Hatley and the higher than average prices, we felt there was a lack of that special 'zing' that makes a meal memorable.

Overall, though, this was a delightful celebration - many thanks to all the staff who contributed to making our stay so pleasant.

A beautiful place in a beautiful location. But don't go there for the food. I remember having lunch there years ago and it was very, very good. This time around, not very inspiring menu and poor food: they managed to serve us dried up mussels.

We had the opportunity to experience the “full hovey experience” trying both restaurants, tennis classes, apiculture, paddle boarding etc. And everything was just perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, all our activities were perfectly planned and our rooms were impeccable. The hotel was so booked that we had to change rooms three times, but the staff was incredible, taking care of our luggage for us and making the experience seem less. Will definitely return next year, also to try their newly built spa and infinity pool

Beautiful location, efficient service, excellent food. Note: parking is VERY tricky near the buildings so better for those who can park in an upper lot and walk down.

Excellent menu végétarien! La seule chose que je puisse noter de négatif est qu'il n'y avait pas de amuse bouche avec l'apéritif. Le choix du sommelier pour accompagner les 7 services était succulent. Très belle expérience, encore une fois!

A superior dining experience on every level. If you have the tasting menu, the wine pairings are a must.

The scenery is very picturesque.

It’s an old building, some may like that rustic feel, I prefer modern.
The floors crack, and there was a strange smell in the hallway when we arrived.
At checkout, they almost charged me for a meal we didn’t eat. And I then I noticed the man had made a calculation error.so if I wasn’t paying attention, I would have overpaid by 110$

Quite pricey for an overnight stay, but I would go go back, to make my wife happy)

Nice stay at Hovey mannor. Facilities are pleasant but a bit noisy at time with creaking floors. The staff is pleasant but could use a bit more training. There are lots of activities available, but it would be nice if there were daily recurring ones in addition to the changing selection.

Love this place! Been going there for years. Some of it has been recently renovated. Some rooms are still a bit tired. It’s you and your luck. Menu in the tap room has been reworked, it’s delicious.

Beautiful property, great service, very relaxing in a unique setting. The staff are excellent and unobtrusive. Relais et Chateaux never disappoints! Dining options were great and the food was excellent.

Le personnel aux petits soins: l'air climatisé ne fonctionnait pas, ils nous ont offert un rabais ou un changement de chambre pour une plus luxueuse jusqu'à ce que notre A/C soit réparé. Wow pour la réception, le sommelier, les serveurs, les cocktails, la femme/l'homme de chambre bref.tout. Nous y retournerons assurément!?

The Manoir Hovey flawlessly blends world class luxury with rustic, down to earth charm for an experience less like a stay at a resort and more akin to visiting the country home of a hospitable friend with exquisite taste.

Nous y avons passé un weekend le mois d'octobre, c'était vraiment une très belle expérience avec un personnel au petit soin. Le cadre est magnifique et le service est excellent. Un petit bémol, le petit déjeuner était un peu trop gars. On y reviendra certainement.

J’avais séjourné au Manoir Hovey à quelques reprises il y a plusieurs années et j’avais adoré mon expérience. Je n’y étais jamais allée en hiver. C’est magnifique. La décoration exterieure, les foyers etc. Les employés sont tous très attentionnés et veulent que nous passions un séjour inoubliables.

We were there at the start of the pandemic and were able to enjoy the grounds (before the snow). We were unsure how the experience would be however we were pleasantly surprised at the amenities available to us. The fire pits, the ice fishing, the hot chocolate on the lake... A fantastic touch!

What an incredible stay! Went for a romantic weekend and was not disappointed. In room dining experience was amazing, the menu is original and delicious. The service is professional and personalized. Also some winter activities on property: ice rink on the lake (they have skates), snowshoeing, walking on the lake, ice fishing (didn't try) and fire pits at night with smores. I will be back!

It was a nice getaway and a real luxury experience. Staff was friendly and quite available but it's true that we had special circumstances.

Considering the current Covid restrictions the staff at Hovey Manor went above and beyond to make our stay as confortable as possible. The staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. The food surpassed our expectations. We would to thank the entire management team and their staff for creating such a welcoming atmosphere that gave us a weekend to escape the city and relax in our own little paradise.

Fabulous weekend in the biggest suite we ever stayed in. In these Covid times, it was relaxing and room service was top notch. The meals were excellent and service was great. We will be back.

Je suis toujours heureuse de revenir au Manoir Hovey à chaque visite. Une ambiance feutrée, des attentions particulières, des sourires, la beauté du paysage, le décor chaleureux et le confort. Tout y est! Et pour combler le tout, une cuisine raffinée avec un excellent service discret, qui n'est pas envahissant mais d'une présence constante dès qu'il le faut. À la prochaine!

George Courey had a sales conference over the weekend and Manoir Hovey exceeded our expectations.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Their attention to detail and service is exceptional from the moment you check in to when you check out.

Commuting the 1 hour in a snow storm from Montreal is worth it to stay here.

This is a hidden gem in the eastern townships! We made a last minute reservation last night for dinner and the experience did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal. Little details of the meal made it extra special down to the homemade mini baguettes and the little surprises that came with the meal.we.will certain be be back for an overnight stay!

We came by last year for dinner during a nearby event. This year, we decided to spend a night, as it’s not far from the event venue in the eastern township.

So the expectation was high with a suite package incl.dinner and breakfast. To avoid rush hour of dinner time, we came earlier, the service was good and the set dinner lasted for two hours. When we got back, the room service set the night for us, it’s quiet, but a bit dry in the room maybe with the fireplace plus heating.

The reason why it’s three stars. When we checked it, the receptionist led us to the room. As explained with breakfast time started at 8am, we told the guy that we planned to check out at 7.30am. He told us that the breakfast box would be prepared. Very good service to accommodate special needs, right? I was thinking so. But when we checked out the other morning, it seems that the msg was not passed through. They did not prepared for our early departure at all. Too bad and too late. There is an event to attend with low energy. A awful morning to start the day.

The dinner was good, room view also, however, the morning was not good at all.

We came as a couple on a romantic get-away and were delighted to de-stress and revitalize at Manoir Hovey. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony and partial view of the lake, and our Room #8 was a nod to my Chinese heritage, as a wish for prosperity. We were given a tour of the Manoir and settled into our charming, well-decorated room.

Dinner was at Le Hatley. The evening started with a non-alcoholic cocktail for me and a unique cocktail (with alcohol) for my husband. We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu, and were delighted with sumptuous offerings of Arctic Char, venison, raw scallops, and other culinary delights. Service was impeccable. My husband had a cheese sampling with his meal. Dessert highlights included a creation with rose water, meringue, and a sour cherry granita, plus a cute and tiny lemon tart!

We relaxed by the cozy hearth of the fireplace in the library before retiring for the night to our room. The evening room service features a chocolate along with a card that gives information about the next day's weather forecast, trivia about the Manoir, and recommendations for local attractions. We really liked this touch!

The next morning, we went to the library and tried the scones with tea. My husband fell in love with the clotted cream! I *highly* recommend the scones too! We spent the afternoon at Spa Station Nordic. Marc André the concierge recommended the restaurant Pinocchio in Magog for us, and it was great!

Our last day, we had breakfast at Le Hatley. It was a treat of canard confit and scrambled duck eggs, along with artisan bacon and sausage. Their buffet is excellent as well!

Marc André, Diane, and the whole team are fabulous in their hospitality. I would recommend this place to anyone with a special event or special someone to celebrate. The warmth and generosity are tangible!

Un endroit d'une incroyable beauté et où le service est impeccable. Évidemment, pour profiter de l'endroit pleinement, les petits à côté sont de mise (les thés accompagnés des scones sont parfaits). La nourriture est aussi un élément incontournable de l'expérience.

The inn is a tranquil and inviting getaway for couples. The rooms are wonderfully appointed with surroundings of mother nature at her finest. The food was exceptional with a variety of choices to choose from. The staff as usual is attentive and polite

We had a lovely relaxing, romantic stay at the Manoir Hovey and were planning our next visit before we left. Everyone that works here treated us so well- we wanted for nothing!

Notre première visite est en novembre 2018 et cela a été un coup de coeur donc nous n'avons pas hésiter à renouveller cette année et ce n'est pas la dernière fois.

Tout était PARFAIT! Ce fut un magnifique séjour, rien n'est laissé au hasard, le pur confort, la cuisine raffinée et que dire du service attentionné de l'ensemble du personnel! Merci Manoir Hovey, nous avons adoré!

Chambre avec look un peu vieillot, mais très confortable. Foyer au gaz. Très beau site. Dispendieux, mais ça le vaut.

There are no words to describe this place. The service is impeccable, the location superb, the rooms are charmingly decored and unbelievably comfortable. Whether your stay is one night or one week your time there will be memorable.

Interesting historical location. If you love the writing of Loise Penney this hotel is featured in one of her books. Don't worry no murderers at least recently.

Really nice location. Great place to stay for a quite escape. Only negative was the lunch we had at the pup. I had a play on the Caesar salad and it was not that good. Whole pieces of romaine lettuce were drenched in dressing and flavors were just not there. They were trying to be fancy but it just wasn't good. I expected more from such a great place to stay. I'll definitely go again though since the property is so beautiful.

It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were not disapointed. Our suite was outstanding and perfect for the occasion.

Un weekend pour relaxer dans un décor automnal et une expérience cuinaire hors de l'ordinaire. Les Chefs ont préparé un menu de produits locaux présentés avec goût et simplicité. Pas de fla fla.mais raffinement et élégance pour les yeux et pour la bouche.

Surpris par le charme et la beauté du cadre, le manoir nous accueille par son authenticité et son cachet. Le service et le personnel très professionnel rendent notre séjour facile et agréable. Les jardins du manoir sont magnifiques et les activités (kayak, canoë, plage, vélo, tennis) site sont vraiment parfaites, tout cela nous donne juste envie de prolonger notre séjour. (Les massages étaient aussi d excellente qualité)
Le pub le tap Room et le restaurant le Hatley propose une nourriture varié et de grande qualité! Merci a Jérôme le sommelier pour son humour et ses connaissances ainsi qu a Alex pour nous avoir fait le tour du site et de ses nombreuses options (chalets, suites etc). Un séjour fabuleux et enchanteur que nous allons recommencer l été prochain!

We were looking forward to our experience at Manoir but the previous hype left us wary that our expectations could be met. We were more than pleasantly surprised. We were particularly interested in the dining experience since we had visited another Relais & Chateaux property and we were blown away by the quality of the dining. This dining experience was also first rate, with no exceptions and with no aspects that needed improvement.

Maison dont la qualité du service est irréprochable. Le personnel est attentif, dévoué et charmant. La table est exceptionnelle et le site enchanteur. Une expérience magique.

We attended a family wedding at this enchanting place. What an amazing event! Scenic water frontage, beautiful rooms, very attentive staff, pet friendly and delicious food. What more can you ask for? Even a fireworks display! The bride and groom wanted to create special memories and they certainly achieved this. Highly recommended!

The building and setting are stunning. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The best part is the friendly people who work there who go out of their way to make you happy, and do everything they can to serve you. And, of course, the fabulous dining experience!
