I have to cancel my mortgage. The penalty was 8,000$ when I called. Since then, the covid-19 crisis exploded. My penalty is now 17,000$. I've been trying to talk to them for the last weeks. No one sees a problem with the situation. They also told me that because they want to be fair with everyone, they won't do anything regarding my case. If it still goes up because of interest rates going down, it's my problem. By the way, my mortgage loan is less than 300,000. It's not a big house or anything. They just don't care.
