IGA Van Horne

Rude cashiers. Most look like students who do not know how to behave. I witnessed one of them chatting with the bag-boys making fun of a client. As this was not enough, they were rudely throwing the scanned items in the collection area while the bag-boy was just chatting not to mention blocking the way of the passerby. It was like a zoo.

I think IGA most give a better training to the new Manager and the knew staff who works there lest than 15 years.explain to them to leave home their opinion about the black community, that no matter the people ethnicity the money is Canadian. Please ask them to be more professional that somebody is a theft when he steal not before. The old staff doing good job but not most of the new one.it is very expensive and it is annoying to see an employee with no respect for.the costumer money.

I went there and bought a couple of groceries. Didn't have any difficulties finding items. This place is very specious and you can move in the Isle freely.

A cashier that does not normally work on Sundays has rendered me a superb service, even promoting the costumers points card. Although the cashier is great but THE HEAD CASHIER HAS NO PROMPER MANNER TOWARDS ME. THIS INCIDENT HAPPEN IN THE MORNING OF AUGUST 13. I AM LOOKING FORWARD FOR THIS HEAD CASHIER'S TO BE DECIPLINE BY HER IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR.

Actually I think prices in IGA stores are higher than the other stores. I usually Don't shopping there, except when I see a good discount.

‏If you have a car, it's not a good choice at all; there are so many IGA around here. Its parking fines you randomly and without reason.

Iga stores and the Voila app do not honor flyer sales. Be aware the prices in the flyers are not the same as on the app or in store and they don't correct it nor give you a rain check or refund

Mon quartier, simple et bondé de monde. J'y pour acheter des aliments spécifiques que je ne trouve pas dans d'autres IGA

Large supermarket with extensive selection and high prices. Since it is located in the middle of a Jewish quarter, it also has a large range of kosher products.
The baked goods are particularly worth mentioning: a huge variety of homemade, very tasty pastries.

Great Kosher offering! Rather amazing prices and clean installations, kudos to the store personnel and management. Only problem. Too many people not socially distancing or fully and appropriately following mask ordinance, I'd like to reiterate that these are not normal times, we're facing some of the toughest trials in over a century, and I don't mean wars, but situations that imperil human life on the planet, from the pandemic to dramatic climate change situations like the relentless heat wave that engulfed BC and Alberta.

By doing our bit, following social distancing, properly masking, getting our vaccines, we'll be able to return to a more recognizable sense of normality, though make no mistake we will not see a return to "the good old days" those are gone.

So if you love your family and friends so the right thing and socially distance, mask, and get the vaccine, COVID-19 (B1.617.2) Delta, does not care about God, your believes, apparent health or race and gender.

At this IGA in particular people were extremely undisciplined. Remember we're not out of the woods by any length!

It's a typical grocery store. It's clean and staff is nice. Meat is often expired and way more expensive than market price.

The reson why i'm leaving one star is because I accidently rolled and stepped on a buch of parsley that was on the floor. While I was continuing my shopping I saw an employee pick the parsley up from off the floor and put it back on the display shelf

IGA is well known and this one doesn't disappoint either. Everything you need for daily supplies can be found here. The staff is friendly and can help you around if you are looking for something specific.

Every time I order online, they never find the articles but once I go there on the same day an hour after they deliver my groceries and I find them. It is NOT the first time. They are lazy to properly assemble groceries and don’t call for substitutes and it sucks for people who CANT go groceries during COVID. I end up with half my groceries missing and I have no choice to go in person even if I’ve been advised to stay home

When I bought my Molson Dry bottles of beer over there, they had no issues taken the 0.20$ per bottle. Now they are telling me they can no longer accept them because they stop selling them about a month ago. The minimum would have been to inform your client about it.

Not a big branch of IGA and sometimes also not very well organized. I bought a cookie bag here only to find out that it’s way over expiration date (after I had eaten some unfortunately) and suffered a long weekend of upset stomach. Their customer service did nothing to rectify the situation.

Today I bring the recycle cans to the machine. I have like more than a 20 cans. There's a guy already there recycling his cans too. So I wait for about 15 mins. Here comes a employee saying that it's close already. So I told him I'm already here give me a change to to put it. He said no it's close. So I ask him to get the manager. The manager comes she said the same thing. SHE EVEN TOLD TO THE GUY TO CLOSE THE MACHINE SO THAT I CAN NOT PUT MY CANS. VERY RUDE GESTURE. So I was upset I left my cans one of there trolly. No consideration since I was there already. The manager have a bad judgment.

Terrible online service: cut off twice, man in admin wouldn't help, no way to order bbq chicken or emery boards online & was told to contact Sobeys if unhappy re: lack of English service! AWFUL!

Probably the worst online shopping experience i have ever had. Out of the 39 items i ordered 9 were missing without any warning from them. I do not recommend using their online grocery service, i was far more satisfied using Metro's one.

Love the bio aile but was difficult to find the cereal bar or energy bars on the right description and price.
Find the veggies here are a bit more expensive but the quality is good.
Cashiers and the staff are mostly helpful and nice.

Dirty outdated store produce looks like it's ready for the garbage new IGA opening nearby on jean talon west I'll ho there at least because it's new i can assume it will be clean

It's great all round, especially if you eat kosher. They have a lot of kosher food, which Is great.

I called this store at 9 PM and wanted to make sure if they have Eska water in inventory before driving from Laval to there and purchasing several cases, since the other IGAs were closed or out of stock of water. The evening supervisor told me over the phone that they have lots of them. Once arrived there, I realised there is zero available. I spoke to the concerned worker and she explained in a rude way that there is a limit of 2 cases per customer. The supervisor and the employees then proceeded to become confused between each other when talking about how much water they had left.the employee mentioned that they had only 6 cases left downstairs, whereas the supervisor was arguing with him that they had 8 pallets downstairs in the inventory. Incredible how unorganized a staff team can be, working in such a store like IGA. Finally they didn't compensate me with anything, and I left without purchasing my other items too. I would never recommend this store to any future grocery customer. Dirty place and very unprofessional and rude staff.

Commande a domicile, plus de 15$ facturés pour des tomates qui ne sont jamais arrivées chez moi. Le magasin vous dis qu'il va vous rappeler mais il ne l'a jamais fait.

Place always has a weird smell to it, always has expired food on display. Very outdated compared to other new cleaner Iga's.

Good grocery store. You will get all options in meat and other stuff. This place location is also good as it's close to bus stop and plamondon metro station. There is a lot of space to do parking.

Service peu agréable à la caisse, et les rayons sont disposés d’une manière peu pratique (par ex le IGA Topetta Mullins a une organisation de rayons beaucoup plus pratique!)

Plein de choix des que tu rentres ça sont délicieux le staff et toujours la pour aider magasin est propre. Sa veux la peine d'aller visiter!

The best store I've seen after Metro store. Similar arrangement as Metro store and the produce was fresh and neatly organized. The cashier was bilingual so it helped me a lot.

Unhelpful staff doesn't offer all of the same products that other IGAs offer. I try to go grocery shopping at other places in this area

Fresh food the store is clean and there is one or two staff member that are very kind as a few times me and my b.f wanted some things that was on sale but the shelf was empty as one she say not on shelf come back tomorrow but we where there now so ask a other person he gone to the back and came back with what we needed that was great of him so thank you for people like him and one other

Amazing service, thanks to the girl with half blue hair for helping my mom to get some fresh mint, that was awesome!

The freezers asked milk fridges are often dirty. Not cheap, but otherwise decent with frequent sales.

The prices! How can anyone afford to shop here is beyond me, plenty of small shops around that are way less expensive

Quality is excellent but they always are not stocked adequately, the one at Atwater is better
Prices of vegetables are high however products are fresh
No staff to provide assistance
No great offers

Wonderful grocery store all their produce is fresh good quality. Their meat and fish is top quality. My favorite grocery store. Staff very friendly.

At checkout, an employee was requesting she squeeze through the busy line of customers waiting patiently to pay and leave. This is a really bad idea and a terrible inconvenience for customers bundled up in winter clothing and with shopping bags. There isn't a lot of room left to pass. When I commented politely to the cashier that this squeezing through the line is a bad idea, I got a "pep talk" about understanding. When I asked why another checkout aisle can't be opened up for the movement of employees without this inconvenience to customers she replied that all the other checkout aisles must remain closed because of theft. Not really a customer's problem. As I left I noticed an aisle that was free and unblocked. I asked to speak to the store manager and realized the manager is the same employee who was squeezing through a busy checkout line, annoyed that I wouldn't move over enough for her to get through. They lost me as a customer.

I like this IGA. Not as much as the one near me though. Was there last Friday evening. Place is always neat and has all you need.

Almost everything is overpriced. The place always seems dirty and smells weird. Some of the items being sold have gone bad or moldy.
Some of the staff is friendly, some is rude, but in general nobody is helpful. Every time I go there customers are helping each other to find items or prices, because nobody else will.

Overall it's a mess. I go out of my way to avoid this store, even though it's the closest to where I live. You can get much better products and service for much less elsewhere. Don't waste your time and money.

Horrible place in my opinion.

Most of the employees do not know where their products are. Most of them are completely unreliable. When you are at the cashier you are often completely ignored by the employees that are instead talking to their colleagues instead of greeting you. When you want to get served in french it is difficult and sometimes it is even hard to be served in english altogether.

There are produce that I simply avoid because they are simply never fresh or do not stay fresh for more than 24h. For example, the grapes are never fresh and firm when you buy them, they are often already moldy and if they are not moldy when you buy them, they become so within 24h.

The price are often off and very often you can't find the product that is in sale. I feel like they trick you to buy a product that is alike because you will think it is the actual product in sale. For example, a family pack of chicken legs might be in sale in the flyer, however often during that week they will only have regular packs of chicken legs and won't merge two together to make a family pack so you can get the sale.

If you can avoid it I simply recommend avoiding this place. There is a market on the corner of Jean-Brillant and Côte-des-Neiges street that sells fresher and cheaper products from April to November if you want a great alternative.

Quel service exécrable! Les prix sont bien plus élèves que chez la concurrence, on s'attend donc a un excellent service a la clientèle. Malheureusement ce n'est pas le cas. Nous cherchions des produits Beyond Meat, personne n'a été capable de nous aider! Même la bouchère n'étais pas au courant et nous a très mal parlé avec une attitude insolente. Une partie du personnel ne nous a pas parlé français, ce qui est intolérable au Québec!
En conséquence nous avons reposé pour une certaine de dollars d'achats. Cette expérience fut finalement amélioré par un caissier très souriant et agréable a la caisse Van Horne.
Je conseille d'aller a Maxi a la place!

My mom went there today and told me that this girl who works in the butcher gave my mom attitude.my mom waited for over 30 minutes and then said the chicken wings are sold out.my mom spoke to the manager and didn’t do anything about it. 1 star! It’s a good grocery store but the people in there are rude!

A highly competitive mall with attractive sales to woo and retain customers loyalty. Every shopper's delight for all year round foodies, wines and home items.

Aujourd'hui j'ai acheté des sushis pourris. La date d’aujourd’hui sur la boite, mais en fait du riz est trop sec. Alors je ne sais pas il y a combien des semaines il a été fait. La cassier sur 1er ou 2eme caisse ne dit ni bonjour, ni au revoir. Je l'ai aussi demandé combien je vous devais? Alors service est nul, certains produits sont pourris. Éviter ce supermarché a tout prix. C’est blizzard, car le même supermarché sur métro Berri UQAm est très bon.

Magasin très sale, et il n'est pas du tout à la hauteur des IGA. Le pire IGA dans lequel je suis allé, la qualité manque à désiré alors qu'ils ont les prix du IGA. J'ai l'habitude d'un prix un peu plus élevé puisque le bon service viens de mise, mais là il n'y était pas du tout. Je ne le conseille à personne, très déçu.

Sale, odeur nauséabonde. Honnêtement hyper cher pour des fruits et légumes qui ne sont pas très frais. Pas à la hauteur d'une bannière IGA selon moi. Bien content qu'il soit loin de chez moi comme ça pas besoin d'y retourner.

Not the biggest but definitely convenient and can find pretty much everything. Fruits and vegetables almost always good quality but everything pretty much on the pricier side. Parking is good but you can't bring your cart out to the car so it makes it very inconvenient for big purchases. If you come with a stroller it gets really tiring since you have to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to come and open the gate for you, the same goes for going back out, otherwise you stroller will never fit through the bars placed to prevent carts from leaving the premises. And a lot of times it takes quite a while for someone to come out and open the gate.
