Staff were all so joyful and nice with us. Ramens were delicious as well for the price. Thank you Min Jee for your great service.

I had the spicy broth with some fried chicken and wasabi sauce. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Food and drinks were great, service was even better, our waitress Nancy was amazing! Would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Japanese restaurant with ramen that look and taste like the ones they make in Japan. Their menu is well-balanced and has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the grilled calamari and takoyaki as starters, then transitioned to a seasonal carbonara udon and the kuromiya ramen. All plates tasted amazing. In terms of atmosphere, I went with a 3 out of 5 because the place has a weird smell that I've never found in other establishments of similar cuisine; and it's very noise (which some people may like). Service was mediocre, with our server never looking at our table and taking forever to see what we needed. Overall, a 4 out of 5 - but still worth going again because of the delicious, authentic food.

Food was excellent, the service was top notch and very fast. The only downside is that it was very hot inside with no AC.

I visited this restaurant after me and my bf came across it in the Japanese food festival. This is currently my new favvvv Japanese restaurant!

I ordered the following food items:
- Gyu Tataki
- Butabara Yakitori Style
- Shoyu Tonkotsu Baka Ramen
- Kuromayu Ramen
- Raindrop Cake

The Gyu Tataki, it’s a dish featuring thinly sliced seared beef, was a revelation of textures and flavors. Each tender bite was complemented by the tangy citrus-infused sauce. This was my absolute favourite. <3

The Butabara Yakitori Style, succulent pork skewers grilled to perfection, with the tender, smoky meat offered an explosion of umami flavors, leaving me wanting more of it.

I don’t have any words to describe the raindrop cake other than simply asking you all to try it. It was honestly something I didn’t expect (in an amazingly good way).

Sake Bomb was on the house since we had visited the Japanese food festival and had gotten a coupon for a free one. (You must surely have the sake bomb once!)

The fusion of delectable dishes, lively ambiance, and attentive service makes it an ideal destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts (like me). I am gonna be visiting again soon to try the other items on the menu.

I suffer from a variety of food intolerances including gluten and Imadake was able to accommodate me without any hesitation. The waiter was fun, friendly, and attentive. The decor, music, and general ambiance is great. I had the Guy Tataki which was perfectly tender, the refreshing Kauai Sarada seaweed salad, the Butabara pork belly, which was so delicately and deliciously prepared, and a bowl of fresh rice. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long while.

The black cod is one of the best! The service wasn't as fast as I wished but it was a busy place.

I really like this place! The service is good and fast! (Even tho they don't come back often for re-orders haha. I guess we drank too fast!?)
Its always fun, with a nice ambiance. Having SakeBombs there is great!

They have a large variety of drinks n a wide menu! The food is very very good and our team of 7 people were all very happy n satisfied! (even considering that we all have very different diet.)

One of the first izakaya in Montreal. Must try their Tonkatsu Ramen and chicken goes well with Japanese cocktails and sake bombs

You have to try the rainbow sake bombs here. It's an experience not to be missed and especially fun with a couple of friends.

Great time. I would not recommend for a date night on Friday or Saturday. But as a group, oh boy, best night you can have. It gets loud, rowdy and really fun.
When I say Sake you say.

Lively atmosphere, but more importantly, the tataki and tartare is delicious and fresh.top spot!

I reserved a place for dinner at 21: 30, and when I arrived (on time) they had already given my place to other people. Then, it was even late to find another place. It was a really important evening for me. A lack of respect for their clients and a really impolite behavior. I won't never come back.
25 January 2019 8:06
05 January 2019 6:36
Food and service was awesome. Fair pricing. On the downside: dont sit near the door in winter, so many ins and outs it got real cold inside.
02 January 2019 20:14
Fantastic japanese food. The barbecued white fish is incredible, but the standard's uniformly very high. Be aware that when the menu says wasabi they're not kidding, some of these dishes kick. Good food, Asahi by the litre, reasonable prices; what's not to like?

My first time here and I had a great time. The service and the food was great. Thank you Nancy, you made my birthday and my first time fun. Good atmosphere all-around!

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place I’ve come about 20 times in two years.

It’s a go to for team dinners, and I ALWAYS bring friends from out of town here. Reno and the crew always treats everyone really well!

It’s my favourite izakaya in Montreal, a good value and good quality foods.

A bit loud but hey, it’s an izakaya (Literally means Japanese bar) I love the atmosphere I just wanted to warn people who may be looking for a quiet conversational spot

What’s good? Everything. I get everything.do family style and share.

Definitely a great place to hangout with a large group. The high chairs were a bit uncomfortable (no back support; had to hang jackets near the entrance). Food pricey for small portions. Basically tapas sizes, but if you don't mind it, by all means, do visit this resto. The price for a sake bomb is reasonable (5$ - Nov 2018) however. Our group bought quite a few rounds of shots. Fun to shout out and bang on the tables. Be aware that if your drink is placed close to you, prepare to get soaked; It gets messy.

Service: Exceptional. Great host. Fast and efficient delivery (the waiting time was not very long between dishes). Welcoming staff (loud greeting from personnel, quite interesting in fact).

Overall, highly recommend.

Octopus balls!
From the street this restaurant doesn't catch the eye. Once you get in, it's more interesting. You get welcome by all the staff cheerfully screaming a nice Japanese word that I did not understand. I'm guessing it meant hello or welcome. The decor is pretty nice with some cultural touches everywhere, tableware, beautiful mural, decorative sake bottle and very short schoolgirl skirts. The bad part was that I had to sit on a wooden crate thing. You need to order the 'Sake Bomb' a fun drink made from rice beer and, of course, sake.

Now, the food. There's all kind of little plates you can order and also bigger plates like the best Ramen i have ever eaten, spicy and tasteful. I can't get enough of their octopus balls which melt in your mouth. Special mention to the Koroke, incredibly original fried potato croquette and my son's favorite. I particularly love the dried fish flakes you can find on most of the dishes. There lots of things worth trying or reordering.

30 September 2018 17:04
Food is very good but pricey considering the portion size. Also, the vegan menu online is completely different than the one at the restaurant, which has fewer options.
28 September 2018 16:00
Good food. Tasty and fresh. Music is very loud so if you want to have a good chat while having dinner, it's not a good choice. It's very popular, reservation on weekend is recommended.
18 September 2018 15:25
This is the by far the spot to be if ur looking to go out and have drink/dinner with a group of friends before 11pm. The black cod dish, is to die for. The energy is so high in the Resturant that it’s simply an energy booster for all ages and groups.
This spot was actually my first date with my wife 5 years ago. Rino the manager is the man to meet at this location for special events or V. I. P service.

Fun vibe, although super loud! This isn't a place for an intimate date. There's so much echo and people yelling 'sake bombs' all the time. If you want to feel pumped up and hyped up, this is the place! Food is decent. I like the calamari -soft and grilled properly. Some dishes are salty, like the ramen and cold noodles. But Japanese places have, generally, salty food. You'll either like it or hate it. I also like their beef cooked on hot stone. The sauce is quite nice. I visit the place 3-4 times a year when my friends and I just want to get rowdy and loud! Try it atleast once. It's either for you or not!
14 September 2018 5:07
I absolutely love this place. It's great of you're with a big group of people so you can try pretty much everything. I love the smaller portions for the exact reason of being able to try what you want, good prices, amazing service, and everything I've had there is insanely delicious. Always worth going in.
03 September 2018 21:37
The food is delicious. I take their ramen and its really flavourful. It's a cool spot to chill and have some drinks. You can try the "Sake Bomb" with your friends. The staff is really friendly.

What an excellent place! The service was great and the food was simply amazing! Can't wait to go back:)

Japanese tapas is the best way to describe this place. It's a great place to go grab a drink and a nice bite to eat with friends.
12 August 2018 5:01
Have been there one time at lunch and it’s not what i’ve expected. Will be there at dinner soon.
The desserts are very good.

08 August 2018 13:23
Went there for the octopus takoyaki which was delicious. Had some of the rare beef ramen. The stock was definitely better than average. The prices are pretty good and there's a selection of sake to go with your meal.

Excellents plats, bon service.
10 July 2018 16:57
Awesome friendly staff, good vibes, good menu. Awesome place for gathering, 5@7! The place can be very crowded, so if loud noises and plenty of cheerful people don’t bother you, then this is the spot!
