We had to change our orders 3 times since they ran out food at the restaurant at 7pm! At the end we were told there is just koobideh and jojeh is available.

We got very salty cold food after long wait.

The restaurant was cold as well, we were sitting next to the window.

We did pay tip and we were asked to put good reviews, I will not suggest or going back to this restaurant.

For non iranian should be more attractive, as a person who goes different resturant, I think it’s pricey for what U get.
I need to add bizarre things i saw something that never happened anywhere, the person who was responsible Sunday night at the restaurant was talking with 2 Customers who sat and eating dinner maybe more than half and hour and he was on foot at their table while they were talking together. Maybe it’s the same situation because I heard from one of my friends who was there one Saturday night and found out the dancer when she’s dancing instead of entertaining people she’s playing and dancing with the son of the owner more than people want to be entertained.

Great restaurant! My favourite Persian restaurant in Montreal. The food reminds me of my grand parents cooking. The place is well decorated and super clean. The staff is very warm.

Food is great but It’s always empty because the owner needs to bring his prices down.
It’s ashamed to see such talent goes to waste, 41$ for a small Chenjeh, 28 for a small ground beef. Please wake up you’re giving less than any other Persian restaurant on top no salad or soup included. I don’t want to insult anybody’s race but people from certain city in Iran are less generous than the rest of the country.

Friendly staff, Food was ok (I do have high standards for Persian food), rice was poorly cooked (all mashed up), tried the Kababe Torsh… wasn’t that sour (meat quality was good tho). Jooje is good (but this one is hard to mess up)

Unfortunately not much atmosphere the night we went. The restaurant was not busy so it was just music blasting in a mostly empty dining room.

Great service. Seems like a family restaurant.

Fesenjoon sauce was really good. Served on a duck leg with a generous portion of safran rice, extra sauce and Shirazi salad.

Chenjeh kebab was tender but did not taste much of marinade. Also served with a generous portion of rice, accompanied by grilled tomato and green cayenne pepper. The pepper gets very spicy on the stem side so not for everyone. Peel and cut up the tomato and mix it into the rice. Salt and enjoy!

Makhloot includes zeytoon olives, mast musir and Mirza ghasemi. Great appetizer to share. Served with pita bread and not sangek unfortunately.

Steak is also worth trying. The cooking on it was perfect. Portion may be a bit too big for one person.

Drink wise, Sharbat saffron was the stand out.

It's a great restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, nice music and a special kind of delicious food from the middle east. Fast service, attentive and friendly servers

Very good Persian restaurant with music and animation on Saturday night. A hidden treasure in Montreal.

Perfect for gatherings and private events. The owners do everything in their power to make you feel at home. The food is good and service was excellent. Highly recommended

Best Persian Restaurant in Montreal. We've been there a couple of times. Very nice staff, fast service, good quality food and fair prices. Definitely recommended.

Friendly waitress and the food looked good. Presentation was great but the food was so cold we did not enjoy it.
We were freezing in the restaurant as well. Maybe it would have tasted better if the food was not cold.

Never seen a yellow filet mignon.lol.and super cold at that.

Wife ordered the Ispahan drink.it was cold water, zafran and
sugar.just horrible.

When we wanted to reserve the table for new year, your stuff explained the new year package is one main course with a appetizer and a alcoholic drink for each one
So when your colleague brought the bill we just ask a question about drinks and explain for her and she said no the drinks are not included we said no problem but the person who reserved for us said it would be included very calm and politely but the guy who works in bar come suddenly and said to his colleague

The kebab didn’t cooked and the chicken was delicious but too small for an adult the price is not good for this quality
I tried many Iranian restaurant in montreal but I don’t recommend this place to anybody
The girls who work there very nice but one guy staff who worked there not really polite

We ordered "soltani kebab", "makhloot" and "safran martini".
The quality of chenje was better of koobide.i dont recommend mirzaghasemi.rice.salad.tomato grilled.zeytun.mast o mosir.

I had a lot of my Iranian colleagues tell me that this place is a must visit and with all due respect, I was disappointed in pretty much every aspect of the experience.

I went here with an old buddy of mine who used to live in Montréal but has since moved on to Toronto and was visiting that week.

Having said that, I assure you there are other places one could go to for a fuller culinary experience.

Food

Their “Koobideh” كوبيدة was subpar in what I would compare it with as per other restos I’ve visited in Canada. It was not juicy enough and not soft enough. One skewer was over done, unfortunately.
The rice was about the only thing that really hit the spot. It was pre-buttered and tasty.
The Mirza Ghasemi was…. Tasteless to say the least. I didn’t really taste anything. They were generous with the pita serving however.

Ambience and attentiveness

The gentleman and staff was nice but they never came back to ask us how the food was or if we wanted anything else. Perhaps it was the wrong date to visit them and there were families and folks celebrating the day and music was awfully loud.

Price point

I felt that the food was/is overpriced for what you get. 27CAD for a Koobideh plate is 10-12CAD more than other restos in the Montréal area. I would say something similar for the GTA. I understand that it’s down town but it’s really only Pt St Charles!

Conclusion

I would probably not return mostly due to the high price point for what you get.

Went here with my Persian friends. The food is yum and flavourful. The portions are bit small but quality of the food is good.

Great ambiance. Amazing food & drinks. Good service. Staff is very friendly, the owners are amazing. The music makes you want to dance the entire night
You will never be bored, great place for birthday or any kind of party! But always need to book your place before at least 3 days to be sure to find a place.

Everything was perfect. The food, the ambience and the service.

Will certainly be coming back, soon!

EDIT: review from a previous restaurant at the same address

The beef and goat cheese tartare was amazing, one of the best tartares I had in Montreal so far. The popcorn shrimps with quinoa in the breadcrumbs gave a nice 'light' taste to this normally greasy entrée. The chocolat and Frangelico mousse was just finger-licking delicious, and the service was really good. The only thing I might not like was the volume level in the restaurant (the music was a bit loud over our conversation), but otherwise, can't wait to go back and test the other tartares on the menu!
Oh, and I forgot to include this: it doesn't cost a lot! Quite reasonable in the price.

And they also do brunchs now on week-end! They have a nice 'pain doré' with old cheese and nuts; the classic eggs/bacon breakfast; pancakes; brioches; all sooooo good: D

And it's for a really decent price! We loved our experience, and will absolutely go back again!

Amazing people, amazing staff, amazing food. The staff at Ispahan are warm, helpful and hospitable and the food is simply amazing. You should definitely stop by and see for yourself!

My experience in new year even: Average quality, really low portion and expensive for what got.

C’est une très grande espace avec des beaux designs et c’est très propre. Les employés sont super gentil et la nourriture offerte est très délicieuse. Je suis très contente de leur service.

Nous avons essayé pour la première fois le restaurant Ispahan ce soir. Nous n’avons pas regretté notre choix. Les plats étaient généreux et goûteux et le service était aussi convivial qu’attentionné. Nous y retournerons assurément. Un excellent restaurant de quartier qui fait voyager de belle façon!

I had chenjeh which is filet mignon and chicken breast marinated in saffron.the filet mignon was melting in mouth and chicken breast was tasting like heaven which I think is because of saffron.generous portion and real Persian rice. I would definitely come back.

We went for birthday party group of 30 people, really enjoyed the food and good service. Bavette with creamy sauce is unique and deicious.is best place for group party, one of the rare place you can bring your own cake and they have dance floor with group menu.

3.50 pour un jus d'orange qui n'est pas frais pressé (alors que le menu indique 2.50). Pas de patates avec l'omelette. Omelette correcte mais sans plus. Très ordinaire.

One of the best in PSC, we went there on Monday to try 1$ oysters and some summer cocktails we ended up having all the items from their 5$ tapas menu and all were delicious.we would definitly come back for their brunch
