If there was a 0 rating they would’ve gotten that! Extremely unprofessional! Ran over the mailbox, damaged the front entry and 4 items that were moved! 1 was a painting that had a foot mark (was kicked) in it! Argumentative when asked to cover damages. Never use!

I'm happy that we chose John Gray Moving to move us across Canada, and I highly recommend them!
I asked for quotes from several large moving companies, and when spring approached they started calling and emailing me that the prices are going up, and I could lock in a good price if I sign with them. Then someone recommended us John Gray moving.
Chris Gray and his movers were professional, reliable, hard-working and respectful. Chris helped us choose a moving date that avoided the peak summer crunch period. He was helpful and responsive to our queries from start to finish.
Ty the driver was there for 2 days to help pack and load the truck. He gave a us a delivery timeline that he kept, and helped unload the truck at the destination. The rest of the movers were all hard-working, and polite. All our belongings arrived intact on time, and nothing was lost.
The final price was higher than some of the other quotes I received, but those were not based on a walkthrough. Also, considering the piece of mind and quality of the service we received, I feel we got a fair deal.
Although I'd rather not move again, but if I had to, I would definitely do it with John Gray Moving!

I hired the movers to pack up my stuff. When I opened my boxes in the new city, I found that virtually every small item of value I owned - jewelry, etc - was missing. I was devastated. I feel strongly that this company does not adequately vet its movers.

John Gray Moving helped us move a 3 bedroom townhome (About 6000lbs) all the way from ATL, GA to Montreal, QC.
Our overall experience couldnt have been any better.
Right from the get-go, the initial interaction, video walk-through (on facetime) and quote from their moving expert Brandan was super professional. While it wasn't the cheapest of moves, the service we got it return was absolutely impeccable and worth every dime.
Beltmann Moving and Storage, Atlanta (Their American partners) came in and packed everything up including the smallest of things into boxes on a friday and another crew came in on the monday after load everything carefully into a truck.
John Gray Moving picked it up soon after, had it delivered to Montreal and helped understand the customs clearance requirements as well (which went without incident.).
The very next day after customs, Andy, Gary and Steve came over and delivered everything and helped setup all furniture as well within half a day. (Rockstars all of them).
Everything was delivered and setup as-is with no damages losses.
I would highly recommend this company for long distance moves especially between USA/Canada.

Andy (drop off) & Phil (pick up) were amazing from start to finish, in fact all of the staff at John Gray are amazing. Extremely professional and keep you up to date with everything you need to know. I used them to move my 2 bed apartment to Canada from the US, and used them to return. I priced out other movers and they were by far the cheapest, but because I'd used them before I knew how great they were. Can't recommend them enough.

I committed to John Gray based on recommendations of other people who had used their service. The packers were good, and were able to not break any of the dishes or glass ware during the move. However, they did not label a tool box with all the parts. When it came to unpacking at the destination, the team were a man short on the job, and had booked another job back to back. This led to my california king bed not being installed. Despite numerous calls for help and repair, no response was provided. I needed to find an additional handyman in a new country, since I could not use my bed.

Very positive experience. Very friendly and diligent movers. Attention paid to protecting the floors during the move was appreciated.

Do not recommend using John Gray when moving to a new city. Even with a two week window they still delivered 5 days late. Of course you have to pay the balance of your invoice before they will release your stuff. I received no reduction in the bill afterword. Overall a terrible experience.

Terrible service, lost our items, driver checked off as there, claims wont do anything about it, broke items not replacing the full amount found cheap stuff off amazon, when our items were custom made from local small businesses, customer service is terrible, never got an update when asked took a month to get anything passed the date expected, showed up was rude when packing.

Over all a terrible experience and I would not recommend.

Impeccable service from the first phone call to the delivery of my furniture. The movers were very professional - tracking every item loaded onto the truck, making sure everything was well packed and securely loaded and delivered without any issues. A special shout out to Chris who went out of his way to accommodate my timelines - this was above and beyond any expectations and truly appreciated.
I would hire them again without hesitation!

Just as a note if you're moving, be as prepared as possible, have everything done the night before except for last second things. (get up at 6am to finalize) Prepare a medium box called open first for clothes and toiletteries and important things when arriving at your new residence!

I have used John Gray for many years, and just wanted to put some of my two sense in here. I did a move with them last year and i should have wrote this earlier. I cannot thank these guys enough. Everything went smooth on time and they even moved my oversized fish tank it arrived in pristine condition. Seeing how heavy it was i can tell these guys really cared. Not all of us are perfect but at least they try and they put their hearts into what they do. That's true professionalism. It was worth every penny for us. Thanks again for a flawless service! You guys deserve the best of recommendations.

I have read horror reviews about certain movers but John Gray Moving and Storage weren't one of them and now I know why. From the day that I received my quote to the day the move was completed it was courteous service. The communication was there, the quote was reasonable and no hidden charges. Branden the rep was cooperative and did everything within his power to accommodate us. The final cost was the price quoted. I was in communication with everyone down the line from Branden, the rep, The two movers who picked up the items, the driver hauling the load half way across the country to Rose in collecting the payment! Lol Always polite, helpful and caring. Good job guys! 5 stars from me!

The packing and loading crew were punctual, courteous, professional and all worked very hard. Great care was taken with some very fragile and expensive pieces. This was the second shipment performed by Gray’s for us. Would highly recommend their services.

I used John Gray to ship my mom's things (furniture, household items including lots of antiques) from NY to Quebec. They were professional, on time, and delivered all the items safely, including a tank of an antique piano. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They accommodated a last minute move between two provinces. Great customer service, fast to respond to my emails and questions, and were on time (or called if there were delays). Considering the last minute, long distance move, I was happy to receive everything in a relatively fast time frame. Nothing was broken or lost. Would definitely recommend them!

I used John Gray recently for a moving from the West Coast in USA to Montreal and I strongly recommend them; they’re professional and flexible. That was the 2nd time I used them in 5 years. They’re awesome!

Contacted company for a quote. I will preface by saying that we did not end up using John Gray, however, I am writing this review because of the excellent customer service. Jeremy was the agent we were in contact with. He was responsive, accommodating, and very professional. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for moving services.

This was a local move with 4 weeks of storage in between homes. So many items were damaged. Furniture, bicycles, items in boxes (which admittedly I packed but I have packed my own move several times and never had anywhere close to this many things broken). My microwave and stove were dented. The movers were not careful with our things in the least. They made at least three dents/scratches on my walls. Most of the damages we only discovered days/ weeks later. They didn’t even bother to tell us. Also for both the pack and unload the movers spent a decent amount of time standing around and took a full on 45 minute break which I was charged for in the hourly rate. Full disclosure, I only reported the bikes. Most of it I shrugged off but as more and more things came to light I felt compelled to write a review.

Our move, the 22 May 2020; The three men and truck arrive a few minutes early and immediately accessed the house content and started loading. The move was done in good time and under the quote. Special thanks to the three men crew Excellent move.

Hello when leaving Dorval we had great service but when we got to Almonte Ontario we had only 2 guys to remove items from the truck. They did s move before us and they were tired and broke several things and we are missing items. The company charged us boxes we did not use. I felt sorry for the 2 guys they could not do a good job they were two tired. I asked Chris to return our money for the boxes but has not and he was supposed to straighten things out but has not. I am very surprised he would take advantage of us because I nee John and his wife you would think they would of treated us better. His workers need to be trained better I really felt sorry for them. Also with covid 19 work is slow for everyone but to RIP us off and break things and not to get back to us is not fair and to take advantage of senior people is very disappointed.

So here goes my rant for the day, now that i have the time, with a big thank you to John Gray Moving. NOT!

Lets get the word out there so they do not stick it others as they did to me.

We recently had a house built which required us to move into a temporary home. The move to the temp home with another moving company took 7 hours to accomplish, the exact same move to our new home using John Gray Moving took an outstanding 11 hours, yes 11 hours. They milked the cow like there was no tomorrow.

I called the sales rep the following day, and he too agreed that there was no way that move should have been 11 hours as he had physically come to assess, however, the bosses stuck by the their crew, and of course they did, they milked the move an extra 4 hours at $155.00 an hour plus tax.

Lets do our part so they don't shaft others.spread the word.

These guys are absolute professionals and I highly recommend them. We needed to pack our house and store 95% of the contents for an extended period of time. Every part of the process was pleasant and very easy. There were no surprises along the way and our home was in great shape when the team was done. I would say after having moved a number of times that John Gray moving is certainly an investment worthwhile!

Very happy with the services provided by this professional moving company. We moved my 90 year-old mother from Montreal to Toronto and the movers could not have been more responsive to her needs. Timing of the move was flexible and pick-up, delivery and price were all as per the original estimate. Highly recommend that you talk to a John Gray representative before for your next big move. You'll be glad you did.

This was the most shocking moving experience of my life. My items were not delivered according to contract, with not one person contacting me or returning my phone calls for weeks. My items then needed to be shipped to a different address because they were so late in delivery. When my items finally arrived they were wet, damaged, and lost. I never received an apology, the customer service was nonexistent. Do not use this company, I claimed $2,500 in damage and received $700 back after months of complaints and countless phone calls. They are affiliated with North American, but North American accepts little responsibility and was not helpful during my phone calls either.

I want to congratulate Andrew for his wonderful work of professionalism. He really care about the customer satisfaction. He is dedicated to not damage your items and his behavior reflects on his team. He moved me from Los Angeles to Montreal and it was a pretty big moving. I was really scared to loose items. Everything was there on time, nothing was missing! I had a few small plates broken but I am the one who wrap them, so use a lot of newspaper or bubble pack cause it does happen. They are not to blame. His team and himself help me to reinstall and fix a few items like my bicycle, tables legs removed. These people work very hard! Thank you

John Gray was the final leg of delivery for the dining chairs I ordered from Rove Concepts. They arrived on time, all boxes arrived in perfect condition. The deliverymen were polite and professional.

I recently moved into my new condo in the west Island. John Gray moving handled all the packing of our furniture and delivery on time. This company is very professional in all aspects of their business dealings with me. Their employees are well trained and enjoy working there from my point of view.
In Contrast to this I had $10,000 in furniture bought from The Brick and delivered by an outside contractor for the moving. They off loaded their truck with snowmobile boots on in the mud and crushed fine stone and delivered it to my condo with their dirty boots on. They scratched and pitted my new hardwood floors because of their lack of proper training. I now have about $7,000 in damages to my floor and that moving company is unwilling to pay for the damages. I now have to hire a lawyer to address this issue. Moving into a brand new condo by the lake should be a wonderful experience. John Gray moving did their part while the other company from The Brick made that part of my move a nightmare. The moral of the story for me is you get what you pay for.

We used John Gray for a Transcontinental move just this month. To move across Canada from Vancouver Island, to Cape Breton in the middle of winter is an extreme challenge to say the least. To add to the challenge of distance and weather, we had some really tight timelines to work within. Our drive, Andrew Gray was a true professional, experienced, and knowledgeable. He was a calming influence in a really hectic time of our life. Our entire household contents arrived in good condition, having made that extremely long trip in good hands. You can trust this company to get the job done for you.

I used John Gray twice in the last 2 years and I was impressed with their service. They were quick and efficient and very professional.

For perspective, this was our first professional move (we moved to Montreal from Maryland with a U-Haul.) When we moved to Ohio last week, we decided to pay the "big bucks" for a professional move, and my wife and I agree it's one of the best decisions we've ever made. We paid extra for a full-pack and unpack as well, which was worth every penny, in my opinion. Our move wasn't without problems, but nothing was a direct fault of John Gray Movers and we were left with a favorable impression of the company. Chris told us he'd get our stuff to Ohio quickly; in the end it was delivered within 3 days of loading, and we paid almost exactly what Chris quoted us. Our driver Trevor was a superhero and worked through a couple obstacles to deliver our stuff on time. Moving is never stress-free or fun, problems can happen (and did for us too), but using a professional mover removes several layers of stress and I would recommend John Gray Movers to anyone.

John Gray moving and storage was one of the best decisions that I made this year. They were incredibly courteous. They moved all of my stuff with huge care and consideration. Everything was wrapped in blankets and there was no damage to any of my stuff.
I have a lot of antiques, and everything arrived with no damage. It was incredible. They were right on time, and worked tirelessly even without breaks. This is the second time I’ve used them, and I continue to recommend them to all my friends. If you’re looking for quality movers, look no farther.
