I've been getting my haircut here for years after trying many different places. Other than one bad experience a few years ago (New guy, haven't seen him since) every barber has given me exactly the haircut I want. Fair prices, fast service (without rushing) and good people. Keep up the great service!

Dirtiest barbershop ive ever seen, on top of that I got the worst haircut at this place, not recommended at all.

Definitely not professional at all.

The owner is full of excuses as you can see how she writes back the same thing to every bad review, ridiculous copy and paste!

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and in most cases you are served right away if not the wait is not long.

Great cuts but recently I asked the older gentleman for a skin fade and he gave me a buzz. I hope it grows back soon cause it was cut really short. I gotta go to school like this.

This place will be my go to place for my son’s hair cut. We did walk in waited for our turn, it’s really quick and nicely done. My son and I all satisfied with the result!

Got a haircut from John himself

I asked for a skin fade, he gave me a buzz cut

And when I asked for any semblance of a correction he continued to buzz my hair and didn't even re do the smock

I left covered in my own hair with quite possibly the worst haircut I have ever received.

Completely disappointed with my experience.

My friend Johnny Polykandriotis got absolutely scammed with his haircut today. He’s been going to this establishment for the past few years and has had nothing but good things to say about the haircuts he has been receiving except today when someone decided to not listen to what johnny was asking for. My friend asked for a low fade and 1 inch of the top Instead got 3 INCHES OFF THE TOP. 3 inches goes a long way you know… but anyways to the matter at hand my friend Johnny had an absolute mental breakdown and was in tears when he called me over to his establishment because he has always had decently long hair and let me tell you this guys hair is his whole personality and the only reason he manages to get any girls on his Johnson tip. So it’s safe to say that I am below impressed with johns barbershop and extremely hurt to what they did to my lover johnny and because of this next time I come to this establishment I will only be tipping $40 thank you and bye?

This barber shop has always given me good haircuts except for today. I asked for 1 inch off the top and a low fade. Not only was the fade awful to say the least, the man cutting my hair took over 3 inches off the top. He failed to listen to what i asked for, and for that reason I'm beyond disappointed and will never return to this barber shop again.

Horrible experience, I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been okay. But yesterday i went to cut my hair and told the hairdresser to just give me a fade on the side. Not only did she not give me a fade, she cut basically all my hair on top as-well when i had specifically told her not to. She also failed to cleanly do the contour of my ears and left random long hairs there. Overall probably the worst haircut of my life. (Edit: and when she realized she messed up my hair she just blamed it on how my hair was thick)

Been coming here since I was 7, almost 30 years. Nothing but great things to say. I highly recommend it, especially for a kids first haircut or if you need to look good for a job interview, family portrait, or court appearance.

Just moved back in the area I grew up in and was served by the same man that cut my hair when I was just a kid. I haven't been this satisfied with a cut since I was here last in the 90's

Been going for over 7 years. All the barbers know what they are doing. They can go fast if you're in a hurry without skimping on the quality of service. Very friendly staff and good pricing. Highly recommended.

Went in to make an appointment. I was totally ignored while standing by the front cash. A guy working in his Adidas sweat pants walked by me twice starring several times and did not acknowledge me. 2 ladies hairstylist also ignored me. I stood there waiting for someone to offer their service. No one, absolutely no one acknowledged me. I finally walked out of the store and left. Went to my car and saw the guy in his sweat pans walking out of the store to go sit on the bench snd get on his phone. What a place!

I can say that the environment is friendly, and they are nice people.the regular haircut was good. I was looking for a beard trim; however, the barber cut my mustache without asking whether I want them short or not.it made me terrible with a 2mm mustache with a 12 cm-long beard! I was even terrified to look at myself as I looked like the ISIS fighters! When I came home, I had to cut two-third of my beard to make it look better. I had to cancel my visit to Toronto and stay home until my mustache grows again.you can try them for a haircut, but I do not recommend them for a beard trim. Those who have a beard know how long it takes to grow a beard and how painful it is to lose it in a minute. If you watch YouTube videos on how to trim your beard and do it yourself, you will have a better outcome.

Super friendly staff, you can make appointments, they also take walk-ins. All covid protocols are respected. More than reasonable price.

Been going to John's since I was a kid. Nothing but good things to say about the place. Not too expensive and the employees know what they're doing.

Did a great job of following instructions and executed well on my vision for my husband's hair.

I have had many great experiences at this barber shop, however I did have one very negative experience recently with one of the barbers. It was an elderly man, I’m not sure of what his name is, considering he hardly said a word when cutting my hair. Besides the fact that he didn’t say much, he did not listen at all to what I wanted. I really like the shop, and the other barbers, but the cut was bad enough that I am considering not returning to johns barber shop.

Great and friendly service, good pricing, and clean shop. Hand sanitizer as you enter, staff wears masks, and dividers between haircut stations. Had my haircut quickly and was very well done!

Nice staff, you get a nice haircut and or a beard trim. Inexpensive compared to other places, service is very nice

Like most barber shops, the quality of your cut is highly dependent on which barber you get. That being said, most barbers here are competent, and I've only gotten a bad cut once (avoid the old guy). My favorite is Jeffrey, who always gives me a clean, trendy cut and equally as important, is a super nice, honest guy.

Some barbers here give a great cut, but I have had a few bad experiences with mediocre cuts (tried at least four barbershrre). My son went the last time and the barber did not listen, at all, to what he asked for. Instead of long flap of hair on top and shaved on sides, he got a conservative standard cut.and was very disappointed. I go now to Carole Raby on Labrosse in Pointe-Claire.who is great!

Went in for a haircut and sat with the first available barber which was Nathalie. There were other people waiting but they let me go ahead of them. I described what i wanted and we agreed on a cut similar to one of the photos on the wall. After about 10 minutes, thinking shes still working on it, she asks me if its ok and I tell her i wanted it shorter, as it wasnt even close to what we discussed. She became very rude and told me i should have told her before and that now she has to do the equivalent of 2 cuts. I was really surprised and disappointed by her deplorable attitude. The cut turned out just okay in the end but the awkwardness left a bad impression, and being made to feel like I'm wasting someone's time is not why i go to a professional barber. Very unpleasant experience overall. Have been there several times but will not be returning.

Been going to john's for 20+ years, usually no problems, just dont let john himself cut your hair. Left today with a bleeding neck, patches of hair that he missed, and an asymmetric haircut. Just a mess.

Used to go to this shop for my haircut. After a while of not going to this one, I thought might as well give it a go.just wanted a fade on a side and cut just a tiny bit up top. Don't know why the barber, watered my hair before clipping the sides. Barely cut my side and did not touch my back hair at all. He also cut the massive amount on my top hair. Did not wanted to say anything so I don't cause a commotion, but man this used to be a good barber shop.

Never really had an issue with the place until today. The owner completely destroyed my haircut. Uneven fade along with cutting the top too short. A little disappointed

If you like getting cut by the razor, if you enjoy having uneven haircuts, if you want a haircut that's tasteless and makes you look like an average joe then John's is the place for you!

Went in for a beard trim. Old man was very rough with clippers. Very painful pulling my beard. Left half of my neck unclipped. Destroyed my beautiful beard that took years to grow. Never again.

Pros: Fast, friendly and affordable. I’ve had some great cuts here.

Cons: it’s really the luck of the draw, although most of the veteran staff is more than capable some are terrible so it’s advisable to give yourself enough time to wait for who you want.
I’ve had 2 nightmare experiences here, once a simple haircut took nearly an hour and the other time I had a bloody line carved into my part by someone who appeared to be half asleep or drunk.

Classic old fascion barber shop setup with skillful and freindly staff. Very popular so the wait time can occasionally be longuish.

I seem to get the same haircut no matter what I ask for. And this last time my sideburns were uneven. They're nice enough and I wanted to stick with them, but I'm going to try elsewhere.

Vito took great care of my hair. Best haircut I've had in a long time. The price is right. In and out. Badaboom!
