It's a good place to eat but the fried chicken is crispy but tasteless the spicy fried chicken has more taste everything else was good except for the fried chicken. I like their concept, I recommend this place.

Comedically terrible and incomprehensibly smoke-filled. The other reviewers are so kind, I'm in awe at their charity.

You don't grill your food at your table. It comes out of a chafing dish onto a metal grill that's basically just sitting over a large candle. And yet the place is still full of smoke.

Not a little bit of smoke. Not a faint aroma of char. We're talking smoke thick enough that, if you encountered it in any other building, would make you think "Oh, I should leave, this building is clearly on fire. ". A truly baffling volume of smoke that really seems to be shouting "Hey, maybe this building doesn't have the ventilation necessary to be a restaurant. " at anyone with enough sense to listen.

Bah-nan-nas. Never seen anything like it.

Meat was really overcooked and not great, banchan was fine, prices were absolutely ridiculous for re-warmed meat served in a room absolutely filled with smoke. With tip, I think we hit $150 for 2 people and 1 bottle of Soju.

Yeah, I know! Sounds exaggerated. I get it. Trying to be a funny guy with an overblown review. Totally fair. Please, don't believe me. Go check it out. The smoke'll be there for you, I don't think it takes days off.

Health hazard, avoid at all cost, MAPAQ should be all over this case. I had gone several years ago and at the time, the place was okay… but it has seriously gone down hill. The experience at this restaurant was so bad I don’t even know where to start. Once you walk in, you are greeted by thick cloud of smoke (the staff wear masks, I wish I had one as well). Once you are upstairs it only gets worse, all surfaces are sticky, the lights (which only half work) are covered in a thick layer of grease. To add we discovered that the grease catchers under the table are literally dirty Rubbermaid bins attached with duck tape. There is NO VENTILATION, The smoke was so thick you could see each table staring at each other wondering if we were all going to die or expecting to hear someone start calling out Bingo numbers. The waiters barely spoke to us and were just chucking stuff onto the table, even things that we did not even order. There were no napkins, no water refills, and the food was edible, at best. We all came home with a headache, stomachache and reeking of BBQ grease. I seriously don’t understand how a place like this can stay open. They should be reported to MAPAQ.

Place it self dose not live up to its full potential, the walls are all covered with smoke and looks very dated. It was very quite and had no vibe. Food was good. Staff were friendly and nice. We had good a time.

De la fumée partout; aucune ventilation.le plancher était glissant et collant.
Au 2e étage.les plafonds et les globes des lumieres etc étaient remplis de coulisses de graisses jaune et brunâtre aussi les verres sal et collant.
Qualité de viande médiocre.mauvais goût, texture, plein de gras et clairement pas fraîchement sorti du frigo.etc etc.
Malheureusement les employés/ service n'est pas mieux.
J'avais jamais rien vu de tel.c'est DÉGEULASSE, vraiment le pire resto ou je suis allée. Je veux même pas imaginer ce que la cuisine et les frigos ont l'air.
Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité reçu.
Je déconseille fortement si vous ne souhaitez pas finir votre soirée dans votre salle de bain.

Really nice surpise! Good food and service and finally I dont need to get deep downtown or chinatown to have a good korean bbq. I must say the quality of some meats is better quality than its competition. I will return there for sure.

One of the best Korean grill place in Montreal. No a-la-Carte. Weekend buffet $38 (with Lamb, Salmon, and Ribeye Steak). Weekday buffet is $32 (April 2023). Nice setting and good services.

I’ve been trying so many kbbq and it’s the first one that I can order my foods through my phone and not on paper! That was a game changer. For once, all my orders were there and I don’t think you forgot anything. We ordered 3 times. Your staff was amazing. You always came asking us if there’s anything else we need. Love the service.
Meanwhile, I suggest to others, if you’re planning to go there, you prolly don’t want to shower before since you might need to shower again. Make sure to drink a lot of water while eating too. Drink some soju and beer with your meal if you want to elevate your experience. Anyways, I’m coming back again!

This place has excellent customer service, great food, and is a nice and cozy place to eat. I found it cute also how they have women’s products in the bathrooms just in case! A quaint place to go out on a date! 5 stars in my opinion.

Pretty good korean BBQ for an all you can eat spot. Maybe missing a bit of flavor but honestly the service and atmosphere was so good that you forget about it. Staff was super nice and take care of you the whole time your there to make sure your happy with the service.

Very expensive for the menu that they offer, which only has a few options. Service is super slow because it seems that only 2 people work there. Worst of all this place has non-existent ventillation to remove all the smoke created from the grilling. When you enter you get hit by black smoke. This is probably against code because you are breathing in dangerous smoke while youre there. I honestly dont know how some reviews claim this is the best korean bbq, because it isnt, there is much better options in the west island and around the montreal region.

I used to be a regular at this restaurant, but I will never be going back. The grills are clearly not being maintained properly, as the meat comes out undercooked and lacking flavor. The servers make excuses for why they can't change the gas, and it's clear that the management is not taking the necessary steps to ensure the quality of the service. In addition to the undercooked meat, the water cups were dirty and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable. It's a shame to see such a once-great establishment decline so dramatically, but until they make significant improvements, I cannot in good conscience recommend it.

First off, the food is great! If you can end up eating. Sadly their grills malfunction, on my experience, 75% of the time, where one piece of meat takes 10 minutes to cook, most likely due to the weak gas containers. This is definitely done on purpose since they instate a 2 hour limit for you to eat, therefore you end up getting scammed to eat only 10 pieces for over 35 dollars. You can even see them re-use the same gas containers in order to maximize each container to save money. Also, they don't even allow the customers to put the grills to full power since it creates too much smoke, but surprise surprise, they don't have a ventilation system! Once again, in order to save money on necessary things for customers. This is one of the worst parts about going here since the smoke will stick onto your clothes after eating, therefore your clothes will smell really awful. Not to mention, their service is absolutely horrible, with no concern whatsoever about the malfunctioning grills. This is probably not the fault of the waiters and waitress but more of an inherent flaw of the restaurant in order to make easy profits on customers. Just do not go here, they are scammers.

Used to be a great restaurant with great food and good service a couple years ago, but the service quality has become unacceptable as of late. It's almost as if the restaurant has turned into a broad daylight scam shack. The grill tops never work properly because the workers keep recycling already used gas canisters in order to save money. (this has happened the last 2 times I've been there). And when you ask them why it's not working they treat you like a toddler and give totally unrelated explanations as to why the grills aren't working. Definitely would not recommend going to this place at this moment, unless you want to waste 70% of your time watching over raw meat trying to cook on a non existent fire.

It is absolutely ridiculous how this restaurant is still open when it is such a health hazard. As soon as we walked in, we could see the black smoke hovering in the air. I was ready to walk out then and there but still decided to give it a chance. I have been to many kbbq places and they all have a vent over the burner, but not this place. We were sat on the second floor where the smoke was even worse. Not to mention, nobody came to the table to greet us after being seated to explain how the menu works, etc. We were waiting for a waiter to come and even tried waving someone over. That part did not bother me as much, as I understand it is not the waiters fault for lack of staffing, but rather the manager. Eventually my friend got up to get a hold of someone to ask about the smoke. Their only "solution" was to open a few windows but that it made no difference whatsoever. We ended up leaving no longer after 15 min as the smoke was unbearable. Super disappointed. The food that others were eating around us looked fantastic so it would be a great place if they could invest in a ventilation system. Until then, I would not go here.

It's sad for me to say but this was the worst dining experience i had in years.food was okay but nothing special.i recommand the marinated chicken and the spicy chicken legs.also their seafood on the grill was decent.unfortunately, this place is understaffed, no ventilation and they give you 2h max even though the place was slow.me and my colleagues were inhaling gas and charred meat smoke the entire time.i felt sick to my stomach and had a headache until the next morning.sorry guys but am not coming back.

The food is very nice and the people were nice.the only thing wrong with this restaurant is the ventilation. There are no ventilation and not that much windows, there are smoke everywhere. Upstairs is worst.

The food was excellent, but the service was slow and they kicked us out after 1h30 minutes. They said they needed the table even if we were still eating. We didn't have time to finish. Its not professionnalism and its not a way to treat the customers that are paying a price thats not in line with the service offered at all.

Par contre, on a trouvé que notre serveur nous a un peu trop bousculé pour qu’on finisse de manger (puisqu’il allait fermer). On a eu des réponses sèches et des gestes brusques en retour.
Pour éviter cela, je vous conseille de venir un peu plus tôt.
En haut c’est un peu humide, vu qu’il y a pas de fenêtre. Mais il y’a des ventilateurs.
Si vous êtes un groupe de personnes, je vous recommande de ne pas trop commander en même temps, parce que les portions sont très généreuses.
La communication n’a pas été un problème.

We were seated upstairs. It was extremely hot! If there was air conditioning, we could not feel it. There were a few portable fans circulating the hot air. The ceilings were dirty with grease stains. Small bowls with marinated sides were on the table with an array of fruit flies making it their permanent place. There was some sort of white larva that we assumed came from the lettuce. The service was quick and efficient. The meat and seafood was fresh and delicious. Will I go back? Mist definitely NOT!

The worst night spent in a restaurant ever! We did not receive more than half of our orders, one of which I even re-ordered. The waiters don't pay attention to you and you have to remind them that you ordered something. The restaurant is small and the smell of fried food makes you smell terrible without even having eaten anything yet.

Best Korean bbq in mtl and trust me. I've been everywhere. As a OG westislaannnnnnd boy this right here is a beautiful addition to this location. You guys rock! I cant wait to go back. Hot sake, a Sapporo pitcher and that fried chicken is the base of my experience, the rest is an adventure of flavors and wonders. 6 stars should be given to these guys. Expect me quite sooner than later

Excellent! This place was great. Impeccable service, and the experience of cooking your own food was incredible. Before we knew it, two and a half hours had gone by.

Amazing food. Really fast and good service. I arrived without reservation and they still managed to find a good place for us. The Korean ribs are DELICIOUS! I just missed a little bit more of types of vegetables.

I have only ever been to Korean BBQ establishments downtown. Those familiar with how they work will have no problem with K-BBQ. What separates it from the others is the service and overall vibe. Small and cozy location with ample parking which is great. Food is the standard Korean BBQ fare with some added goodies (the fried chicken is to die for). The calamari and short ribs were a definite hit while the pork belly was a surprising disappointment because it was a little low on flavor. We were well taken care of by the very polite and attentive staff. I would highly recommend K-BBQ to anyone looking for authentic and delicious BBQ without the hassle of driving and parking downtown.

The fried chicken is unbelievable because it’s better than those sold individually at other korean restaurants. But it’s a buffet!

Great ambiance and food. Affordable for a all you can eat option. There is warning to be made, you will have to cook the food yourself on the Korean BBQ in the table, and it's very meat oriented, the seafood was blend and the place get super smokey. It's a great place, great staff and had a fun time, will go again!

Loved it! The pickled vegetables are so good, everything was delicious, had an amazing time. The only thing is they don't have fans over the grills, the place is filled with smoke, especially in the winter when the windows aren't open. For the occasional guest it's really not a problem, but this has to be a serious health hazard for the staff working there all the time.

Service was extremely bad. We had made reservations for 5, they gave us a weird table (putting one person on an extension separated from the table and making it impossible for that person to use the grill.)
The meats that we ordered looked like they were thrown on a plate and served to us. There was absolutely no finess in the presentation of the food and waitress would throw the food orders on the table. Very underwhelming experiencing to be completely honest, waiters didn't care, the food amount/ quantities ordered weren't respected, we would get more than asked, or would have to wait 30 mins to get the rest, meat cuts aren't worth it and honestly questionnable. Disappointed with k-bbq, will not return.

Good quality meat and services is good too! I liked that they changed the grill in the middle once in a while so it dont get too crusty really a nice place to go in the west!

This is definitely 5 star. My background is food including flight kitchen and owning a food distribution company. All the meats are well marinated and of quality. For the review who mentions short of staff. I say welcome to Trudeau free money. Do not blame the restaurant for shortage of staff blame the government to give the staff money to stay home and not serve you.

I really like this place but they are not always consistent with the marination, one day it's really well marinated, the next day it's not well marinated.

First time going to Kbbq, I have to say I expected better. The food was alright, be aware the meats taste bland and lack of flavour, the fried chicken was alright, nothing special. Overall, not the best bbq place. After paying my bill with the waiter (guy), everything was good the guy was nice THEN as I was leaving to walk to my car, another waitress came running to me near my car asking for why I didn’t tip the full 15%. I said I had no reason in particular for not giving the full 15%, she asked me to give more tip so I had to take out my wallet and give more cash. I find it super unprofessional and disrespectful for a worker to come up to a client that already paid with someone else and is walking to THEIR CAR and ask for more tip. Seriously a turn off. I’m sorry but this is the first time someone ever walked up to me and did this. Never going here again, DON’t RECOMMEND. Super rude

My family and I came here because of those fantastic reviews. We ordered these short ribs as soon as we had our seats, It never showed up. So we asked a waiter to go and check but he never came back. 30 mins later we asked him again, he said we had to order it again. So we ordered and finally we had our shot ribs! Check it out! 3 pieces with a really fatty one and a large piece of random meat we didn’t order. Also, we didn’t get the lettuce? We ordered. But they gave me 3 dishes that I never ordered. In short, if you have a high standard of food tasting don’t come here otherwise yeah it is cheaper. Very disappointed ️

Best Korean BBQ in the city! This was my first time coming to K - BBQ and it was defintely worth it! When I met my friends there, I asked, "Why the west island? ! None of us live remotely close to here. " One of my friends responded, "because it's the best, hands down. "

We ordered almost all the meats. My favorite was the beef. Service was welcoming, warm and efficient.

Just discovered this cozy, charming restaurant over Labour Day weekend. What a fun experience for my husband and two sons. The food is so delicious, the service was great, efficient. Such a variety of meats to barbecue to your liking, plus cuisine to die for. Their soups are just heaven! We were celebrating our first dine out since Covid, and it was so special for us. Definitely will come again and again. Highly recommend to all.

We’ve ordered food delivery service for quite long time since the pandemic. Yesterday we tried dining in the restaurant but very disappointed. Only two staff for more than 7 tables customers. They were very busy. I could feel they have tried their best to serve the customers but obviously two of them are NOT ENOUGH! Not sure why owner does not put one more staff to help these two poor girls….

Right off the bat, I enjoyed the experience of eating there. An all you can eat where you order your preferred meats, poultry and seafood to cook at your table to your desired doneness. With an oversaturation of restaurants in the west island, this stands out thanks to its nice little concept. The tables are already pre set with different types of salads to accompany your cooked meats for flavor. My favorite one was the Kimchi. The sodas (coke, diet coke, sprite) are part of the all you can eat as well wo you can order as many as you'd like. Any wine, saki or other alcoholic beverage is at an additional cost. The meats that I tried were all of the beef cuts minus the ox tongue, the chicken and the shrimps. It was all great. After a while, the platter where you sear the meat gets caked on bits making it harder to get a nice proper sear and crust but not to worry the staff does check up on you and swaps the platter for a new freshly oiled one. We also had zucchini, onions, mushrooms and pineapple to grill and it was a great pairing with the meat as well. We also got a side of steamed rice, the sticky kind like sushi rice which is perfect for those using chopsticks. (Forks and knives are available to use if chopsticks aren't your thing.)

Overall I would definitely come back again but next time with a bigger group maybe.

I went on a Friday night. It is better to have a reservation since the tables were reserved when we arrived and we did not have a reservation so we going to have to leave at a specific time. Service was very fast and the food was good with a lot of variety. They should have more variety of drinks as they only had coke diet coke or sprite.

Really nice bbq buffet, variety of meats (including seafood) and Korean cuisine that you can order. Serving is so fast and you can simply just order what you want by scanning the barcode on the table. Definitely worth trying!

It’s a pity that this restaurant has only 4.3 for now. I really think this place worths a 5.0! Each single piece of meat is so tasty. Just remember don’t order too many, because the amount of each meat order is large. Definitely, we will come back again. I will say this is the best Korea BBQ restaurant you can find in Montreal!

Food was good but really slow service. Only one waitress in the evening serving outdoor and indoor tables. Ordered lettuces, only gave 3 leaves when we were four people.

I've ordered from here through Uber but dining in was a much nicer and better experience. The restaurant is not very big, in a 2 floor house style building. Not sure if they removed tables because of covid but I was surprised to see maybe 8-10 tables downstairs and then the same amount upstairs. We were seats upstairs, there is definitely more room and we had one larger party next to us.
It was our first time at this type of restaurant. I wish they would have explained everything but instead someone came over, popped in a tank, turned a knob and left us. I tried asking some questions but I was made to feel that it was pretty straight forward - well it's not. We put food all inside, covering the holes on the side which put out our fire then later on, a waiter came and noticed our grill needed to be replaced so he came to do that and then we knew to ask every few rounds of cooking. I think if they aren't going to explain it, they should at least print a little card on the table to explain. My 2 cents. Besides that, the rest was great! The food seemed very fresh and tasty. We tried a little bit of everything at first and then chose more of what we enjoyed. I went with my husband alone but I think next time I would come back as a group. Its definitely a more socially interactive experience, probably great for a first date so there's always something to do or talk about. Id absolutely suggest this restaurant to anyone. Bring floss.

Pour commencer, nourriture excellente mais le service extrêmement médiocre, surtout si vous êtes blanc francophone, le service est uniquement en anglais et personne n'est venu nous servir. Personne ne nous regardais mais les autres tables semblait avoir un services excellent (composé très majoritairement de coréen).

On à du arrêter un serveur pour savoir le fonctionnement et pour payer sinon nous avions 0 services.

I really wanted to love it however I have been to better KBBQ’s in Montreal. There isn’t much variety in the menu. Some of the meat is good I recommend sirloin & the short ribs. They were really well marinated however the short ribs were mostly fat. The other meat in my order were not marinated. They had no taste at all.

For a highly rated KBBQ place I would have expected more but I’m going to assume that West Islanders are very generous with their rating due to lack of exposure to other KBBQ places.

First time dining in after 15 months since pandemic started, we chose BBQ with the terrace seats. Service and food were good, but unfortunately, we didn’t get any vegetables which we ordered at the beginning, in the end we couldn’t re-order them anymore due to we all felt full.

Awful service. They seated us a half hour after our reservation only to be told the kitchen was closing a half hour after we sat down. Not the type of place you want to have to rush given you need to cook the food yourself. Asked for water, didn’t get it. Asked for beer, it came hot like piss. Waiters gave us attitude for no reason. Ventilation is also really bad in the building. The one star is for the tasty food which is admittedly good given the price. Wouldn’t come back unfortunately.

Delicious food and fresh meat with sauce. All you can eat with QR code, free soft drinks, excellent service, but for now it is more convenient to call for reservations. High appearance level for dessert, ice cream scoops and lots of snacks, as well as lots of traditional Korean cuisine. Until you're full.
