K2+ Bistro

I ordered sushi this time for takeout and it was underwhelming. It was fair- not bad but not great either. Much of the “chefs choice” 42 piece maki did not have fresh salmon and the dragons eye appeared to have cooked salmon in it which was weird and disappointing.

Sushi all you can eat.
All food and drinks are ordered via tablet and then served at the table.
There is a good selection of starters, sushi and desserts.
The food is delicious.
The service is okay, but not particularly friendly. The cleanliness of the tables could be better. At a sushi restaurant I think cleanliness is even more important. A chair at the table was completely broken and you almost fell backwards - hence only 3 stars

Great menu, great quality food taste, and good atmosphere. Seaweed appetizer, fried vegetables, sashimi and desserts were particularly delicious

Was so dirty restaurant terrible staff un behaviour too, they way how we treat there was so so bad and we have been told please don’t come back from that bald guy who warring glasses!

We thought he joke about it but he was so serious the reason because we didn’t Tip the restaurant!

My best All you can Eat Sushi restaurant recommendation. Service is fast, consistent, the quality is top notch and choice is plentiful. I've tried other places but I always come back to the k2

This restaurant is really under average and I don't know how it's rate is 4.4!
The food is tastless and the amount of shrimp and fish was less than it should be.
Don't waste your money and search for a better palce if you love sushi.

My husband and I order from this restaurant on a regular basis. Every time we order they miss giving us something - which is understandable given that they are always super busy and their staff look extremely overwhelmed. We usually check the bag before we leave the restaurant, but lately they've been stapling the bags shut so we don't find out what's missing until we open the bag at home. We continue to order from here because the sushi is fairly good and it's close to where we live. Today, we received no chopsticks (despite requesting two sets as part of our order) and a food item was also missing from our order. We called to ask if we could come pick up the missing item. They said they would look into our order and give us a call back. I'm disappointed to say that they never called back or made any effort to rectify their error. We will not be ordering from here anymore due to the consistent poor service and missing items. If you plan to order take out, make sure you take the time to open the bag before you leave the restaurant and check to make sure all your items are there.

Update: Received a call from the manager who offered us the item we didn't receive plus a second one at no cost the next time we order.

First I gotta say ive been to many all-you-can-eat and this is by far THE best all-you can eat-sushi restaurant I’ve been too no cap.
Everything tasted fresh, was beautifully presented as well!
Went there on a busy Friday night and the service was still flowing nicely.
-10/10 would recommend this place, definitely going back there soon!

What used to be one of the better "all you can eat sushi" places has deteriorated severely in quality. No one is expecting a gourmet meal at a place like this, but what was served here was not acceptable. The rice was stale and clearly too old to serve. Many fried items were warmish. These types of restaurants often fluctuate in quality night over night but this experience was awful. The service in general was OK and the speed at which the food arrives is pretty good, likely because it was left over from a couple of nights ago. Will likely never step foot in here again.

Nice vibe. The interior dining hall is very nice, completely japenese style, bur the food is not very top. For examle, salmon roses have lots of rice without enough salmon, even thrre is no one round of salmon around the rice! Overall, I prefer other sushi buffets in the same area. And, the price also for weekday lunch is $25, different from what you see in the menu.

Went with friends, it was amazing. The sushi were fresh, tast amazing, the waiters are kind. Hug selection of sushi and plates. Nothing bad to say to be honest (we went once)

The all you can eat buffet was excellent, especially the sashimi and scallops. Service is friendly and very efficient, we had our first plate of sushi within 10minutes of sitting at the table. I'll be a return customer for sure.

Not just indifference, but extremely rude staff. The person who received us (a group of 4) at the door gave us a clear attitude that you are not welcome. When asked if we could sit on the balcony he just said “No! Not now”. When asked when would we be able be seated in the balcony, he responded 30 minutes.
For the vaccine passport we were treated like criminals being interrogated by police.
Pitiful, that the dude had to practice his power at the door.
Inside, when we asked if there is a hanger to hang our rain-soaked coats, the other waiter simple shrugged.
This was the second disappointing experience at K2+, and definitely the last one. It is sad that how new inexperienced businesses take advantage of the absence of previous well known businesses that COVID-19 forced them to close down.
If only businesses learn that more than short term benefit, they should I c’est on long-term customer reputation.

Quel bon restaurant découvert ce week-end. Première fois et nous y retournerons sans hésitation. Les sushis sont frais et très bons quelque soit la saveur. Merci pour le service et à la prochaine!

I’ve been here three times and the service and food are generally good, the exception was one dinner where the hot food came cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile and the service was slow that night as well (must’ve been busy). The other two times have been incredible experiences, food came very quickly which is great for AYCE experiences and tasted super fresh. Their food is always presented wonderfully and I would say their prices ($25 for lunch, $34/$36 for dinner depending on weekday/weekend) is reasonable for AYCE sushi. My lunch experience was the best so far, it wasn’t too busy and crowded and the food came very quickly. They have a good variety of makis and their tempura is delicious, thin batter and fried perfectly.

Good food but they forced us to leave because there was many people waiting outside. First time happened to me in my life. For sure not going back.

Rice to filling in the sushis is on point for sure. The chicken skewers as well as the lamb are a m a z i n g! Osaka roll too omg yum. Was 40$ tx included for all u can eat on a saturday night and the place was full. Service was fast and polite. Honestly the best all you can eat sushi place & way better than Kanda.

A great place for all you can eat sushi in the heart of Montreal. But dont over do it and keep left overs because you will be charged for them.

The quality of the rolls is quite good, but I feel like it doesn't have the best variety of AYCE sushi in Montréal.

Sashimi and sushi was not even fresh they had a certain texture and was WET! And they asked for my kids ID. Sure. I’ll give you his ID his 9 and has a drivers license. Servers were nice but manager was horrible!

Best sushi place, a huge variety of items, fresh and delicious. Great customer service. Thanks to Paul and Veronica for their service and extraordinary care to make sure we are happy and satisfied. Will definitely be back

We just returned back to our hotel from dining out at K2 plus sushi. Upon our arrival to staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The tables are very close together and we were handed an iPad to place our order. We didn’t realize until we were flipping through the iPad that it was an all you can eat for $34 a person. We didn’t mind the price until we received our sushi and the rice and fish were not fresh! Very disappointed! We told the server and manager about our disappointment and we didn’t eat the sushi but we’re still charged full price for the all you can eat! Not even offered a discount! Which we probably would have given back to the server over and above the actual tip we still gave him! I am not recommending this restaurant and would not return again. Find another option!

Rude manager. We were told that we could come by 2: 45 pm and would be able to order once. We reached by 2: 30 pm and we’re told that they full. When asked about the call, he said ‘stop wasting my time’ and left. Unacceptable attitude from a restaurant.

The sushis were very good and the service was pleasant. A nice discovery, I will return for sure

Sushi is really well done, service was quick, but we had to keep asking for stuff, like hashis, bows and spoons for ice cream.

Fish wasn't fresh at all, took 30 min for us to get the first orders, the waiter probably hated his job, manager even worse

Good food. The staff could be friendlier but it's not too bad. You order on tablets and it's mostly straightforward, although the quantities can get quite confusing. A bit too pricy for a student budget, wish that would have been clear before we entered.

They forced us to eat everything before ordering ice cream. He said no for ice-cream.
Mayo sauce was extra for take out.
Most of the sushi rolls had cheese.
Their menu is so deceiving! 1 piece or 3 pieces per order?
He wanted the plastic bag so hard that he kept asking if we were going to use it.
They kept telling us to leave at 7 because the place is fully reserved even most of their tables were empty.
IPad was lagging. Took us half an hour to order because it was lagging and loading.

Rude, disrespectful service! We reserved a place for 4. When we arrived we gave our name and the server told us that we don't have a reservation. Then he actually had the audacity to question us whether we reserved looking at our fun to make sure we called the right number. Then when we told them that this was their fault they told us and I quote "we don't want you here". Don't go there! We are so angry

Me and my girlfriend love this place. K2 sushi roll is our favorite, second is salmon teriyaki. Buffet price is higher through weekend or at night, but with more menu options as well.

Food quality is not bad, but not better than Taiyo. The waiting time is terrible.
Seriously, it took them 30 mins for serving us first order (which is salad) and then another 15 mins for sashimi & sushi. Why it takes them so long? Is it really so hard to cut salmon into pieces? My cat can even do better than them:)

I went there on a thursday night. A lot of variety of sushi, however all the fried sushi came soggy and cold. Also, we didn't receive many things that we had ordered like general tao chicken, popcorn chicken. We then ordered ice cream and they brought us chicken katsu with the ice cream.which we had ordered 1h before. I won't be going back there.

Called the restaurant 23 times throughout the afternoon. No one picked up the phone. My girlfriend really wanted to go to this place, so she went to the restaurant and finally got a table. We got there at 4: 30pm and we were the first one who walked into the restaurant. The food didn’t come until 5: 00pm, I mean this place is for all you can eat, right? The first dish was miso soup, the soup was cold already, and it was extremely salty. The second dish was California roll, the avocado inside was not fresh, tastes weird, and the roll collapsed when we tried to bring it to our bowls with chopsticks LOL. Then, there were just some really average sashimis. Not very fresh, not too bad, very average. We ate faster then they serve, and we lost our appetite very quickly, this is the strategy lol? Also the AC above the seat drops a drop of water every 5 minutes, pretty annoying, we told this to the server. She said she will ask, then she never showed up again lol. We got mad, and we told another server that we want the bill and pay. He said “OK”, then he disappeared as well. After 5 minutes, we asked another server. He said “ if you want to pay, come to the front”. I mean… Bruh… If I need to pay in the front, then just tell me first. The bill for two people was $80+, we barely ate any dishes. AND For the tips selection, the first one is 20%, I have nothing to comment about this LOL, if you are reading this, I think you will understand All of the staff weren’t even friendly, no greets, no smiles, barely speaks, very small voice. Worst sushi place I’ve ever had in Montreal. If K2+ tries to delete this comment by saying this is completely fake, I will pull more pictures out and the payment record. LOL

Sadly not the K2 I used to love going to pre-pandemic. While I'm glad they're open for business, it's just not the same. Quality is down and choices are less while the price has increased. I hope that they will improve things.

Glad to see AYCE places open back up! K2’s dine in option is up and running again. The line ups are kind of crazy if you don’t have a reservation so I’d highly recommend making one ahead of time.

A great variety of choices overall. Use the tablet they give you to choose what you’d like and the process is pretty straightforward. Love the spicy mussels, grilled squid, sashimi, beef emoji wrap, and the salmon neck.

For 2 people for dinner, we paid around $90 after tax and tip.

Ordered through Doordash, I got sushi that seemed to have been sitting around for days. The rice was awful, hard and layed on very thick. They didn't put any sauce, ginger or wasabi, and I had to call to have it delivered. If the sushi had been good I might have had a chance eating it dry, but it was not.

Sushi were owful, old dry dirt, specially saumon ones, never eat so disgusting sushi. Feeling my stomach hurting

I was their on Monday afternoon. The food was great but the service was terrible they have only one waitress for whole resto and seen she doesn’t care that much she take her time to eat and chat with her coworker in place take care the customer when I was ask for more soy sauce she’s show her attitude and walk away with no answer and guess what? After she force us to paid 15% tips for that terrible service and when we refused to paid for her tips she said is a policy in Quebec to paid 15% tips when we go to eat in a restaurant:) and throw us the bill On the table without say nothing. Never come back again worst waitress ever and you should change your job if you don’t like it.you ruin our evening for nothing girl

So its 38 dollars with a 15% tip and tax for all u can eat buffet. Its a decent price as the menu offers a range of varities. If ur a sashimi lover it say go directly for mackarel. Squid sushimi is a bit "strange" and it doubt its fresh, same goes for tuna. As for futomaki and nigiri they are quite decent and substantially filling. So I suggest not to over do it and rather opt for sashimi and owen foods as there is a good option of fish and meat. All in all a good place to go if u want to stuff urself with some resonably healthy food. The staff is nice and its easy to envison spending hours there

My new favorite place for all you can eat sushi! To me, the first thing that matters is the taste of the food and the variety, both of which are spot on for me in the restaurant. They have a lot of interesting and delicious maki rolls that you wouldnt find elsewhere. I like the interior: its casual but still a little chic. The only reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because of the service: the staff is nice but they hardly come to our table if we dont call them! It results in having to wait longer until we get service. The wait time for the food is average, not slower or quicker than any other sushi all you can eat restaurant.

Nice and quick service. Every single bite was good. Nice decor. People and nice and they smille! Keep up the good work. We will be coming back for more.

Instead of “all you can eat” sushi, we got “all they were willing to make”. Sushi was decent, but service was terrible. Not worth your time or pallet. Didn’t explain how we were supposed to order (pencil on paper vs utilizing the waitress). They missed half of our order or gave us the wrong thing even though it was written down. Our waitress was more concerned about drinking with her coworkers and playing on her phone than she was giving decent service. Overall, don’t waste your time or money on this place. Awful experience.

My wife and I love this place. They have our favourite salmon sashimi. The service is quick and the staff is very professional. We've gone at many different times, never with a reservation, and have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. It's more expensive than some all-you-can-eat sushi places but the increase in quality is worth the extra money.

Exelent restaurant, je n'ai jamais vu un responsable aussi sympatique. Le rapport qualité/prix est exeptionel. Ne pas se fier aux commentaires négatifs, je n'arrive pas à les comprendre d'ailleurs. J'y vais 2 fois par semaine et je n'ai jamais été déçu. Je tiens à préciser que je ne suis pas un ami du gérant et que j'ai connu ce restaurant par hasard. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Seul bémol, trop de bruit quand il y a du monde mais allez y aux heures creuses apres 8pm.

This location is much more intimate than the main one. Though at the time of our visit it was not BYOB, the drink menu was 50% off and the warm sake was fantastic.

Sushi: extensive selection and fresh taste, even at the end of the night when we closed the place out. The wasabi mussels and salmon sashimi were my favourite.

Staff: Absolutely lovely, personable, and accommodating.

Great place for fresh sushi at an affordable price in the heart of downtown. Shout out to their great service, and, that they accept all credit cards!
