Kal Auto

Crooks. Sold a 2007 Honda Odyssey with 175,000kms to our Church for a low income family and told us the van is in excellent condition that he has been looking after it for 10+ years. Did a vehicle pre-inspection on it too which he charged us $90 for and passed the van with only a few minor issues he said regarding a front ball joint. Not even 400kms aftermarket buying it the electricals shut down. Power windows stop working. Then on the highway the van’s steering become stiff and the van sounds and feels like it’s about to fall apart on the road! Bring it into the nearest mechanic we can find and get a inspection done. Comes back it needs more than just a ball joint which isn’t even the least of it’s problems. Gives us a list of issues with this van less than 3 days after purchasing it from Kal. The issues ends up costing over $3500. But they will not take on the steering issue which we go to another shop for and ends up the tires on there are completely garbage! And would have caused an accident with another 30 mins max of driving! This repair ends up costing $1800! Called Kal and he completely ghosts our guy who he sold the car to! Would not even send us any compensation not even offering any amount back for all the troubles or even refunding the $90 bogus inspection he did. None of the shops we went to could believe this van was inspected a few days ago by a supposedly “Professional “ auto shop let alone sold with all the issues that was with it. Attched are the receipts and proof! Buyer Beware!

Kal has been looking after our cars (Chevrolet, Saturn, BMW, Audi) for the last 25 years, and we happily drive from Montreal centre to get our car serviced at his place.
We ALWAYS had a great service at a reasonable price and we always feel that ours cars, and therefore our security are in good hands. 5* is a must!

I miss you guys! I haven't gone to Kal's in about 6-7 years, after going to his garage for over 10 years, due to a move and I havent found a garage REMOTELY comparable to the wonderful, caring, professional and honest service I got at Kal's. He always takes the time to explain the issue, possible causes and the costs. Kal's garage is truly Numéro Uno. I'll be back, it's worth the travel!

Worst spot to bring your car for repair, very expensive compared to other garages, and he will try to find any little excuse to charge you for his time. Last time im coming here, overcharging 300$ more than 3 other garages that i called.
