Kalbi Korean BBQ

Hi I came here to experience the “ robot service ” but didn’t really get it. It’s mostly the server who brings food. The food itself taste good and I was satisfied.
However the server was rude talking about the tips thing (which we gave not just what he expected because for us he’s just doing his job / the service was normal) stating that “if we’re broke we’re not supposed to go out “ and proceed to show our receipt to his colleague then laugh.
My friends and I felt insulted/mocked which is not what we expected when we came there!
The experience started well then take wrong road.

Everything delicious! Besides, it is a different experience. You have to arrive hungry to cover the cost of the buffet and consider that it does not include drinks.

Advertising a kitchen closing at 9: 30pm, to be told at 8: 00pm to "hurry up because last order is at 8: 30pm" on my friend's birthday was.unimpressive.

I have been to many Korean / Japanese BBQ places in my life (Gyu-kaku, Daldongnae, Shinta, Gyu-bee, Chako, etc.) and never have I seen one with an electric grill and parchment paper yikes. Might as well do hot pot as the meat was boiling in its own juices, yikes again! Definitely not worth the price at $40 plus tax and tip. Staff was at least nice and helpful. Won't be going back.

Très bon, original, avec petit gril au centre de la table pour faire cuire nos viandes. Ça fait penser a une raclette. Très chaleureux et convivial pour une sortie d'occasion. Les petit robots qui apporte ta commande a la table c'est juste trop cool!

Le service était bien.
Mais 2h pour un buffet c'est trop court.
Le serveur nous pressait de faire le plus vite possible et nous rappelait tout le temps le temps restant. C'était pas agréable du tout.
Toute fois, le menu à beaucoup de variété, dommage que c'est pas permis d'apporter son alcool pour célébrer un événement.
Sans compter le supplément de 15% pour un groupe de plus de 6 personnes à payer en plus

Very rude staff.

Please don't order sushi, their sushi is just a huge rice ball. There is not much of a sushi, just sticky rice to fill your stomach (all you can eat).

Nothing is tasty, the BBQ stove is so small and you cannot have a good time if you are more than 2 people.

Service exceptionnel! Le serveur etais très gentil et professionnel et le service étais vraiment très rapide et efficace.

La bouffe donnée en livraison et pour emportée est absolument écoeurante.

C'est vraiment dommage parce que c'est un bon restaurant lorsque la salle a manger est ouverte.

Nourriture bonne mais service médiocre. En plus du mauvais service (prend une éternité pour avoir son repas et on ne reçoit pas tout ce qu'on a commandé) le serveur a osé se mettre un auto pourboire, ce qui a fait en sorte que certains de mes amis ont payé deux fois le pourboire.

J'avais mis 1 étoile mais je change mon rating à 3 étoile car j'y suis allé une deuxième fois et c'était mieux

Truly the worst Korean food I've tried. Bibimbap - tiny, dry rice, not fresh, laughable amount of veggies and 'meat' (meaning, almost none). Was delivered by DoorDash. I tried to call the restaurant after we received the order, and the person who answered asked me to call back. I tried that evening after dinner rush, and the next day, and no answer. Also, it cost $42 for 2 bibimbap plus delivery.
=In response to reply - I also work hard during these times, and I expect a basic level of quality when ordering food for my family. What you sent us was as I described. I understand your situation as I have worked in restaurants, but this is why I expect a certain standard.

Gros Gros problème avec la distanciation sociale de 2 mètres! Nous avons été un Dimanche soir, pour souper, et c’était pleins pleins à craquer! Un groupe de 4 assis à côté d’un autre groupe de 4? Nullement 2 mètres entre les tables. Aucun séparateur, aucun plexi glace. Les baguettes sont tous dans le même pot (donc tout le monde y touche). Pourtant, le restaurant est grand mais ils n’ouvrent que la moitié du restaurant. Je ne comprends pas. Les gens vont payer au comptoir sans masque! Wow! Grosse grosse négligence! Ça fait peur. Cependant, il y a un grand choix de nourriture. Les sushis sont normal. La soupe était froide. La viande, crevettes, calmars étaient bons.

Sushies were fine but borderline.
Its a cheap all you can eat.
The waitress was anoying and desync from when we actually needed her and not.
Everything else looked and tasted good.

Would go to impress a cheap date.

Bonne ambiance. Les serveurs étaient super gentils et accueillants. En géneral, c'était super bon. Personnellement, j'ai moins aimé le goût du boeuf. Mais j'ai adoré le poulet et les crevettes. J'ai moins aimé les sushis également, car ils avaient trop de riz. C'était lourd à manger. Au début, il y a eu plusieurs oublis. Dès que je l'ai mentionné au serveur, ce problème a été réglé immédiatement.

All the beef that we ordered was 100% fat, it did not have meat, only fat, and also the chicken had so much pepper collected as if they only added a large quantity

Good service as always. For such a Nice restaurant the prices are really afordable. Staff are quick and efficient i recommend this place 100%

Bon restaurant, avec un bon service. Les plats d'accompagnement sont arrivés beaucoup plus tard que la viande ce qui a fait que j'ai senti que je devais manger très lentement. Ce n'est pas une mauvaise chose par contre. Presque 45$ pour l'entrée et un soft drink pour une personne

Pretty good all you can eat Korean BBQ in Montreal's Chinatown. All experiences there have been good so far. Food is good and served relatively quickly. Very accommodating to larger groups and staff is welcoming. Prices are fair. In my opinion, one of the best all you can eat Korean BBQ'S in Downtown Montreal.

Glad they were able to take our table for 9 without reservation. They scrunched us all together, which was ok, but weird since there were tables free. Some of the fans and ducts were held together with tape, and had a huge hole on the ceiling. So ambiance wasn't great. The food was good, I'm a great cook. Service was ok. Beer/drinks were pricey.

Très bonne nourriture. Je conseil ce pendant d y aller en couple ou en petit groupe d ami car il ne gere pas tres bien leur reservation.

This spot is worth giving a shot. They have large portions for reasonable prices. Constantly clean and with good vibes. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome! Reasonable prices, big dishes and the employees are regularly very kind.

Tout est a refaire.prix different de celui marquer sur le site, mal entendu des employers lors d'une reservation et met la faute sur le client. Un gerant qui est pas capable de gerer le probleme et demande a la serveuse de le faire. Proprio qui nous promet une reduction de 10% et qui ne le fais pas. Derniere fois je mange a cette place.

Not impressed with the quality of food. Pineapple was completely dehydrated it was so old. The zucchini had mold as you can clearly see in the picture.that makes me question the freshness of the sea food and meat. Seasoning was almost non existent. We were 2 and accidentally ordered 8 buns, when we asked the waitress if she can take some back she brushed us off. We often go to other Korean bbq and never had these issues before. Most definitely will not be back. It spolier out valentines dinner.

Service was okay, food was a bit tasteless, no seasoning, not really worth the money are you are a small group and dont eat that much. For larger groups wouldn't be bad. Cost us 31$ each not including anything to drink asides water.

A really nice Korea BBQ with a lot of selection, a bit pricey on the weekends but during the week the price is just right.a great place to have a good time with friends and eat way too much!

Food was great, but the service was lackluster. Was it because we were there mid-afternoon? Hope so.

Whenever a friend asks if I wanna go somewhere to eat I always suggest this place first, I absolutely love it here, wonderful aand friendly staff, great service and delicious food

We love this place. There are many options to choose and it’s fun to barbecue. The sushis are ok. I loved the soups as well.

Très bon restaurant. Le service a été sympathique, la décoration du restaurant est magnifique et intimiste. La cuisine à volonté est à 99% très bonne, le seul petit bémol c’est que j’ai déjà goûté de meilleur rouleau impérial.

Terrible service. Not organize. They take forever to bring the food and many times bring it all at the same time and then they will literally charge you extra for green peppers or onions you couldnt finish.

Had suggest you to go somewhere else like seoul chako.

N'y allez surtout pas, ce restau n'as rien a voir avec un vrai korean bbq. Et je parle en connaissance de cause ayant passé 1 mois et demi en Corée.
Viandes dégueulasses.
C'est un attrape pigeon à chinatown.

Un des pire endroits où j’ai bouffé de ma vie. Pis j’aime vraiment le coréen: je me satisfait de pas grand chose dans ce domaine. Mais là, chapeau, j’ai rencontré mon maître.

Le concept n’est pourtant pas mauvais: à chaque table y’a un petit gril avec un petit tuyau pour pomper la fumée, pis les clients commandent des portions de morceaux variés à faire griller ou pas, à coup de quelques plats à la fois.
Sauf que là, les produis sont de qualité plutôt moyenne. En plus, le gril de table ne développe pas assez de chaleur pour bien saisir la viande, qui ne fait que bouillasser sur la plaque. Le mieux que j’ai réussi, c’est de produire des petites bandelettes grises et caoutchouteuses. Je peux pas croire qu’ils tuent de pauvres animaux pour ça. J’ai essayé de me rabattre sur les sushis, mais ils sont du même genre que ceux d’IGA, avec leur p’tit gout pas frais de “semaine-passée-dans-l’frigo”. De façon générale, la plupart des trucs ressemblaient à des bouchées industrielles sorties tout droit de leur sacs plastique.

Par contre, bravo pour leur modèle d’affaire: c’est un “à volonté”, mais la piètre qualité de ce qui est servi brise cette volonté. Alors finalement on repart en courant sans avoir beaucoup mangé. Ils doivent faire des tonnes de fric.

Tout ça en fait l’endroit idéal pour décourager un blind date chiant, ou nourrir à peu de frais une horde de gens que vous détestez. Bof.

Worst all you can eat corean bbq. Ill-made sushi and tasteless meat. Will never go back and really disappointing to have this restaurant in Chinatown.

Expérience assez désagréable. La moitié de ce qu'on a commandé a été oublié ou mélangé par un autre item sur le menu. Lorsque j'en ai fais la remarque à la serveuse, elle m'a regardé avec un dégout même pas dissimulé, comme si notre table était en faute le cas présent. Bien évidemment, elle n'a rien fait pour remédier à la situation et nous avons fini par manger des plats que nous n'avons pas commandé. Bref, l'attitude des serveurs est extrêmement déplorable. Ce n'est certainement pas un restaurant dans lequel je retournerais, il y a d'autres buffets sushi à volonté bien meilleurs.

Si vous voulez bien manger et que vous aimez la viande (tendre et goûteuse), les sushis et les petits plats asiatiques, c'est définitivement un restaurant pour vous! Il y a un peu de tout et c'est toujours une expérience plaisante en couple ou en amis de faire griller ses plats ensemble sur le bbq. Attendez vous à sortir en roulant parce qu'on y mange beaucoup, c'est trop bon!

The sushi is a little bit above average, however the korean BBQ is average, not that many options compared to other places i've been to. The Kimchi is good tho but theres quite a lack of other side dishes. Also the lettuce cost extra so keep that in mind if you like lettuce.

They are cheaters fakers, you order something they bring whatever they want. And they will not bring the good stuff until you are full with water. Give you some food and lots of water. Then delay the order until you get full and fed-up. They automatically add tip even if you had the worst service ever. Never trust them.

It was a good place. Food was good, service was a bit slow and the waiter was rarely present, he almost never passed to ask if we were okay, we had to call out random employees passing by (-1). When we went the place was half empty (we went early) but then it filled up.

I've been to different Korean bbq restaurants which have been really good but this one disappointed me!
The worst thing was the ventilation system, The place was full of smoke and we smelt smokey after leaving, even the day after that. The food was blend and didn't have any spices. And one of my friends got poisoned after eating there. So disappointed and will never come back

Mediocre food. Very few napkins. Waiter literally asked "how much are you tipping? " When paying for the bill.

Not terribly impressed. Very few napkins, I won't forget the incredulous lack of napkins.

Nous sommes aller en famille 2 adultes 2 enfants. Pour le dessert, nous nous sommes fait refusé une 2e boule de crème glacée. Une deuxième boule aurait tellement fait le bonheur des enfants mais si ils pensent qu'ils vont faire plus dargent comme ça?
Après 1hrs 15 min à la table, quand nous nous sommes fait refusé la deuxième boule de crème glacée, le serveur nous à même pointé la caisse. Le message était claire.
Je conseille à personne à moins que vous voulez manger boire et prendre le dessert en 1 heure.
