My family has been going to Master Kim for the past 5 years. Incredible man. Really teaches discipline, hard work, perseverance, respect. The school has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of a family. If you are looking to get into Taekwondo this is definitely the place to go. Master Kim is in all honesty the best!

J'ai eu une expérience exceptionnelle à Kim's Taekwondo. L'équipe est incroyablement dévouée, les instructeurs sont compétents et passionnés, et l'ambiance est conviviale. Les installations sont bien entretenues, offrant un environnement idéal pour apprendre le taekwondo. J'ai constaté des progrès significatifs dans ma forme physique et mes compétences en taekwondo depuis que j'ai rejoint cette salle. We are so grateful to be part of the Kim’s Taekwondo family. Our child has evolved not only physically but mentally. Grand Master Kim & Master Alex are absolutely amazing. Master Alex empowers the students from a holistic approach. He as well encourages the students to improve technically, but also as individuals. The staff and instructors are incredible and highly professional.

After more than 10 years, I back to train Tae Kown Do. My coach in Mexico was from Korea, and since the first day of training here I have the same vibe of the classic way to learn and practice a Martial Art.

After speaking with one of the staff members, I've agreed to address a few issues with my review. It was written from a biased pov, so I'd like to point out a few things. Number one. I spoke quite negatively about the school, i.e, what is was lacking. I realized how unfair it is, considering there are a lot of things the school does right. One such thing is that they do offer good children's classes, and their adult program is quite a cardio workout.
Going back earlier to my statement about the old review being biased, I'd like to point out that I was looking at things from a tricker (essentially a demo athlete) 's perspective. Hence, I cannot speak for sparring. Personally, I thought was being quite harsh in my earlier judgement, so I wanted to write an update that has less opinion and more of a neutral standpoiht. Other than that, there's not much else I wanted to address. Feel free to look at my orginal review down below.

I've been a part of the Kim's TKD community for almost 4 years now and from what I've seen, the school is great, however, it doesn't come without it's flaws. First of all, there are no sparring in the adult classes, which is unfortunate since sparring is one of the most important aspects of Taekwondo. Another common flaw I see is some of the black belts. Just cannot kick. A black belt signifies mastery of the basics of an art and sadly, some of the black belts just aren't checking that box. Third of all, I've been doing a lot of Martial Arts Tricking on the side and I've been learning the more advanced kicks such as the 540 hook kick on my own. What I've noticed while learning these kicks were, while the instructors do seem to able to give some tips, they and the demo team, at least from what I've seen, have not performed it at all in recent years. I apologize if this sounds a little too critical but every Taekwondo school, especially their demo teams, should be well-rounded in every aspect.
In conclusion, if you're looking for some great cardio mixed with some combative forms after Covid, consider checking this school out. Otherwise, if you're someone who wants to be able to perform the fancier kicks, it's best you find a place with open gym and some tricking instructors.

Grand master Kim and his team are the best. If you are looking for a traditional martial arts institution with a program to develop your mind and body. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kim's Taekwondo!

Before joining Kim’s Taekwondo, we visited a few schools and we are super happy with our choice. This school is best suited for our daughter.
Grand Master Kim and his instructors are very knowledgable and professional. They are using traditional Korean philosophy and discipline to teach all students to understand not only Taekwondo but also provide the children tools to structure their lives and communicate with manner and respect with each other as good human beings.
The school is always welcoming and feel like a second home.
After more than a year just waiting for our kid, we have decided to join and practice as well. The practice help you to stay healthy, discipline, self confident, and like I mentioned before RESPECTFUL of others and treat others right. This school nurture a very diverse group of students from around the world and who are very nice to each other.
Highly recommended for all ages, genders and origins.

Absolutely the best Taekwondo school. Since my daughter started a year and a half ago this school has become like our extended family. Starting with the Grand Master, all of the wonderful instructors and staff are very welcoming and professional. The positive changes in my daughter are all thanks to Kim's Taekwondo School. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old attends the children class. I am so thankful for the team at Kim's Taekwondo. My son has gained so much confidence. He is doing better at school and with his friends in general. Grand master Kim and his team are the best!

Grand master Kim changed my life. I was referred by a close friend. I was looking for a Taekwondo school with traditional roots applying the true philosophy behind martial arts. Thanks to Grand master Kim, Taekwondo has become a lifestyle for me. I would highly recommend Grand master Kim's dojang. It is the best you can find.

Whether you are a novice in martial arts or an experienced practitioner, Kim's Taekwondo is second to none. Old school TKD mixed with modern, efficient and well thought-out training techniques and drills honed over generations of teaching. Whether you are looking for a workout, self defense training or to compete, this is the best place for it, and more.
The staff is very competent, professional and patient. During training, there are either instructors, the master or Grand master present to pace the drills and day's teachings, offering guidance. They are always insightful, never overbearing.
As the years passed, what to me started out as a way to defend myself became much more. What I initially thought of only as a fighting style turned into a way of life. The dojang, a training ground at first, became my second home.
Whatever your reason of training or motivation, there is always a place for you at Kim's Taekwondo.

I am currently a student at Kims Taekwondo and would say that it's a great martial school despite the fact that:
1. Grand Master Kim spends most of his time watching movies in his office instead of teaching. (Absolute facts; see for yourself.)
2. All students are charged different prices based off their gullibility or how easily parents are manipulated (In Korea belts and tests should cost no more than $40 in total however, they charge between $100 - $600 depending on which belt.)
3. All students MUST bow to the Grand Master Kim but he doesn't bow back ever. How is this "respect"?
4. From speaking to current instructors who teach all the classes, I learned that they are unpaid (which is illegal.)
5. You will never get a receipt (unless you ask for one.) *You are not even supposed to need to ask for a receipt in an established business*
6. Instructors are forced to engage in mandatory cleaning of the space (also unpaid.) Instructors were also the ones who demolished the 2 pillars in the front Dojang (WITH NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT OR A PROPER LICENSE WHICH IS ALSO ILLEGAL.)
7. Their overall goal is to train kids from a young age, and by the time they become black belts, make them instructors who work for free (ASK THE INSTRUCTORS YOURSELF IF THEY ARE PAID OR NOT AND HOW LONG THEY'VE TRAINED FOR.)
8. The Grand Master consistently swears at young children in Korean. (IF YOU ASK HIM WHAT HE'S SAYING, HE'LL CLAIM THAT HE'S USING APPROPRIATE TERMS SUCH AS "BAD BOY" AND "NAUGHTY".)
9. Students are often manipulated into signing contracts without even reading over them.
THE LIST GOES ON. BUT KEEP THESE IN MIND BEFORE SIGNING UP OR EVEN CONTINUING TO ATTEND.

Excellent teachings for the kid. If you want your child to learn Martial Art and build their confidence, character while learning to defend themselves, this is the place.
