Lovely trail. Very doable. Not wheelchair accessible. No dogs allowed. Picnic tables and washroom (outhouses) near the parking lot.

Amazing view of the Ottawa River Valley, including the city of Ottawa, and healthy hiking exercise.

Loved the hike on King Mountain. It's quite a climb but it's worth the effort to see the view from up there!

Un endroit à voir avec ces paysages à couper le souffle. Les visiteurs tout comme nous en restent bouche bée.

Hate those rude bikers in the Park. They bike side by side and occupy the whole road all the time. Where are the police that give them tickets. They somehow have the power to close off the Chem Champlain. Aren't roads shared as we all pay taxes? Maybe some big cheese in Gatineau is a biker?

This is a 5 star trail but, given that ALL road access has been shut down on specific days (to appease cyclists.who don't hike) and it is no longer accessible to hikers, it is now a great trail that can only be enjoyed when the powers that be allow it. It is a shame that one of the Gatineau's best trails now has restricted access.

Looks fine enough, but I went for work outing, and only discovered that it's not dog friendly when I got there.

Walk through woods and climb to the top where there are beautiful views over the plain below to the Ottawa River.

Go now for the famous fall colour valley 180 degree view. I'll echo all accolades to the power of infinity. Weekdays are better. You can walk in from Kingsmere if parking is a problem.

At the bottom start, I'd go on the right trail loop at the small lake not left. Most people go left but the right side is wetter and rockier so you'd rather go up it than down if your worried about slipping or twisting an ankle.

If you do go on the right loop do not go onto the right fork towards the end. It will have the P sign for parking on the right but that is all the way to Kingsmere, an extra 2 km and you'll have to come all the way back to get to your car, which is only about 100 meters away.

Take your time. It's not a long hike. When you finally get back down, you'll wish you spent more time there.

Visit McKenzie King Estate from the waterfall loop parking lot on your drive down. Slow down and watch out for cyclists on curves.

One of my favourite hikes in the Gatineau Hills, it features a steep rocky climb up the North side, and many wooden stairs on The South side with a fantastic view from the peak. Park at Gatineau P7, then hike up Trail 30, stay left onto Trail 8, then left onto Trail 37. This well-travelled route takes you to a NorthEast point on the King Mountain trail. There’s also a parking lot at King Mountain off the Champlain Parkway.

This is a 5 star trail but, given that ALL road access has been shut down and it is no longer accessible, it is now a great trail that no one can enjoy. Very sad that the powers that be decided to shut down most of the good trails in the Gatineau's.

Well maintained trail with lots of steps. Under 5km hike with plenty of viewpoints. Not overly busy on a warm afternoon.

Fairly challenging trail. It’s not too long but you’ll be climbing most of the time. Great views. Was nowhere as busy as say, Pink Lake would be.

Awesome quick family-friendly trail. We did it with our three year old and he handled it no problem. All of the steep sections have stairs, and the views towards the top are all pretty stellar. We managed the ~2 km loop in a shade over two hours.

Very beautiful view. Wonderful diversity of plant life. Fair amount of stairs so keep your physical fitness in mind before attempting. Not wheelchair accessible. Once you're at the top, the path might be hard to find at times (especially when all the leaves are on the ground). Just look for the wood poles and the occasional planks to help direct you

One of the best vintage points to view the ottawa valley. The lookout is 2 km from parking area.trail goes through a maple grove at the base of a narrow valley so it is quite a hike up and down. Sometimes with clear road and steps, sometimes with steep Rock and Moss. Not suitable to hike with little children or strollers etc. Make sure you are there with enough daylight left as the grove gets really dark.

Very nice hiking spot for those who wants to experience a magnificent view on a very short hike and to those who are lazy to walk and wants to have a beautiful picture and forget about the pandemic and the problems in life.

One of my top favorite trails in the capital region. Breath taking views of the Gatineau hills, farm country and a glimpse of a city. Some stone steps and some wooden stairs. Absolutely loved how maintained it is and natural beauty. Sitting at the base is Lac Black. Stone steps leading up welcome you while canopied by trees and forestation.

Great challenging trail with a lot of elevation. Beautiful views, fair warning due to the type of forest you are in, it is very humid. Great picnic area!

One of my favourite trails in the park. The view is worth the climb. The change in ecological area is fascinating.

Often underestimated because from the entrance you can't tell how beautiful this trail is, however very nice trail woth lots of lookout spots. 2km long trail and enough ups and downs. Overall my top 5 trails in the area.

Sentier balisé avec point de vue magnifique! Sentier "difficile" mais assez court environ 5km.

Beautiful look-off point at the top! Everyone should hike this trail for the scenic views, especially during the fall

Very beautiful hike to do in October when the leaves are changing. Is a great way to experience Gatineau's beautiful fall colours! Very nice view from the top, however very crowded with people. There is stairs at the last 500m of the hike that were slightly challenging. The rest of the hike is pretty rocky, so I appreciated having worn my hiking boots. Can easily so the hike from the main parking lot in an hour, we hiked from the penguin picnic area due to lack of parking at the main entrance and enjoyed a beautiful 3 hr hike! Would recommend!

It's a nice hike. Lower mid level in terms of how challenging it is. Theres a great view when you get to the top. There is a nice looking waterfall you have to go down a hill to see. There were some muddy parts in the park you have to figure out a way to go around without messing up your shoes (maybe those dry up in the summer?) but it is doable. And of course around those muddy parts there are mosquitoes so bring your bug spray. Overall though, like I said it's a nice hike. It's not amazing or anything but it's decent enough.
