My favorite place to finish my morning runs. Must see in Montreal, but the sunset is unique. Very less people, absolute calm, and breathtaking view with the sun rising on the city. Definitely recommend you to go early morning.
Profitez-bien. The top of mount royal deserves the visit. Although it is difficult to climb up there, you will forget the stress of this climb when you reach it. Enjoy!
Went there with my gf for outdoor activities. At the chalet, you have a nice view of the city. It's an excellent place to come jogging, cycling, drawing/sketching, ect.
Great lookout over the beautiful city of Montréal! Only downfall was park construction created detours on the trails.otherwise the walk was definitely worth it!
Had a great walk in the morning, fall leaves were pretty. We took the stairs up and the longer route coming down. Including the time we spent at the observation deck, we spent a total of around 2.5 hours.
I came here to the exact look out point almost 40 years ago and decided to take a photo from the same point. People drive, cycle, run and walk up. Love this place!
Best views of the city from here especially at night. Can see all of downtown lit up. Plenty of room so seldom overcrowded and not such a difficult trek with many paths leading to it. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit here if you are feeling brave but would say to go at night
Proche de mon école; 40 min de marche/course. Très beau chemin bien aménagé se rendant. Facile d’accès. Vue à couper le souffle. Sécuritaire. Pas trop de gens.
Really nice view of Montreal! Great place for sunrises and just in general. During the winter, the sun rises just over downtown Montréal buildings, giving you the best opportunity to take photos of the sunrise. The stairs is one way to get up but you can also Uber to the chalet.
So I have been to three view point of the city. 1. Ferris wheel at the port of an old city 2. Observatory 360 in the city centre 3. Mont royal park I can say that observatory give you the biggest angle of view (360), so you can see everything in any direction possible. You can see Olympic stadium, old port, almost everything. So it is worth visiting. 2. Mont royal park view point is mainly facing city centre, but you can also view some other parts of the city, so it is not as good as observatory, but it is definitely worth visiting 3. From ferris wheel you can't see much because of the skyscrapers, so it is not really worth it.
Incredible views! Either walk up the walkway and stairs or park on top at the parkinglot and walk over. Totally worth it. Day or night. It is safe and spectacular.
Lovely views. Not too busy either so can really enjoy it. The walk up the stairs to get here are a real leg burner aswell but that makes the view feel all the more worth it
Gorgeous view! It was definitely worth the 1 hour hike up the trail! I would recommend everyone do it. I did it with a crying baby and once I reached the top, I knew it was worth it. The way down wasn’t so bad either. They have a bus to take you out of the park.
