I highly recommend booking in advance. We were hungry and did order various dishes, but half of our orders did not ahow up, no kimchi, no ribs, while the other table seemed to have a lot of it. Very smokey inside, don't wear your fancy clothes.

The food was good and the staff was very quick and nice, and they immediately brought colour pencils for children without us even asking for it!

We came here late, the kitchen was closing but they were nice enough to take us anyways. They gave us 1 of everything and it was overwhelming, in a good way! The meats were delicious and fresh, the salads well balanced, the udon and bibimbap were well seasoned and the tekbokki was perfect! I find at most places it's too sweet but this was properly spicy. The chef/owner was very friendly and clearly cares about the food and his staff. This is now my favorite KBBQ place! Only downside is they close so early

Fun dinner with delicious food. Meats are well marinated and very flavourful. Waiters and owner are very pleasant and attentive.

The food was alright but we felt very rushed which ruined the experience along with multiple mixed orders. They offered an 8pm reservation on a Friday night; menu mentions 2 hour slots which is fine but as soon as we got our first service the waitress advised us that it was the last call for food at 9: 15pm (so about an hour to eat, in fact a lot less when you consider the time for the order to go in, receive it and then cook it yourself). Multiple things we ordered never came. We even got dishes we never ordered. Even more disappointing, was that all the things we liked the most (like the short rib) only got to us past last call even though we ordered them when we first arrived (never got them so had to order again). All in all, for $42 plus tax per person, the experience was very disappointing to say the least.

L'un des meilleurs restaurants asiatique que j'ai été. Le propriétaire vient même â votre table pour vous montrez ses recettes et il est super gentils. Le staff est tout aussi génial et les prix sont super bas.

Le manger étais pas là problème, avec la musique au boute tout le monde fallait crier pour parler c'était vraiment pas une bonne expérience.

This place has very good quality food. It may not have all the bells a.s whistles other down town buffets have, but it allows for a better experience to eat and spend time with friends.

Je me suis retrouvé chez KUI pour un souper entre amis, l'ambiance était super bien, ils ont positionnés un groupe nombreux au milieu du resto et j'ai senti que sa mettait une très bonne ambiance (smart move)! Le service était bien, on a pu faire 2-3 commandes durant les 2 heures et on a jamais reçu de menu pour choisir, on a du utiliser nos téléphone. Nous avonc aussi pas reçu tout ce que nous avions commander, je me posais la question et mes amis on realisé la même chose. Le staff était gentil et souriant. J'aurais un peu aimé que notre serveur parle un minimum français et que l'aération soit un peu mieux, j'ai seulement vu une fan dans le coin du restaurant. La bouffe était bien mariné et goûteux, le tartare de boeuf était coupé un peu gros mais sa le faisait sur un méchant temps. Les nouilles udon était pas assez cuit à mon goût mais c'était autant délicieux. Le porc épicé était ma viande préféré durant la soirée. Je recommande à tous, oublié pas de laver vos vêtements par après et il ne faut pas oublier que c'est un apporter votre vin! Merci beaucoup!

What an amazing place! We came at 8: 30 and after we seat they told us the kitchen close around 9: 15 so we decided to come another time. The owner came to us and said let me order for you, and I’ll stay longer just for you if you need more time. It was A-MA-ZING! The meat is so fresh, the green oignon salad is super good and their sauces are perfect with the meats. Best part? It’s BYOW! So you can bring your favourite alcohol. Best Korean bbq in town. Skip downtown for a bit and go to Verdun!

Amazing experience! BYOB and staff is friendly and efficient! Chris is too good at 5/10 I would recommend this restaurant!

C'était une première pour moi de manger du BBQ coréen.

Concept intéressant, certains plats préparés étaient délicieux mais j'ai trouvé la viande à griller soi-même tellement grasse que ça m'a empêché d'apprécier l'expérience.

Mes amis ont adoré.

Pour une soirée de fête pour 13 personnes il manque de place. Mais pour une soirée à deux ou quatre personnes, c’est le fun, le principe du Barbcue et viande marinée à souhait est succulent, le service est efficace. Mais durant l’hiver, il faut plus aération dans le resto, car la cuisson du grille provoque de la fumée et nous sentons la viande grillée, pas bon pour les sorties ailleurs.

Not very sanitary, food was decent but couldn't enjoy a conversation with the owners obnoxious music blaring.

It was an unpleasant experience for me.

-Young Asian waiter with a bad attitude like I owe him money.

-We had a total of 3 orders. The first order took at least 30mins to arrive (they were not busy at all, 4 tables max).

-None of the orders were completed, more than half of the items ordered were missing.

-Instead of placing the plate down, the waiter was rudely throwing it on the table.

-We asked the bill 3 times until he finally showed up with it. The worst part is, he was super unhappy with the 10% tips I gave, and had the audacity to ask me what is the wrong with the service. I was speechless.

Overall, it was a terrible dining experience for me. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.
The restaurant however looks run down. The chairs, tables, walls, mirrors and windows were not cleaned despite it being closed all day. I took one look at the grill and was like is this for real? After mentioning they started cleaning right away.
Cleaning should be done on a regular basis before opening and during!
We will definitely try again hope things get a little better!

Today I and my BF went for dinner. We had a reservation for 7: 30. It was fun, I enjoyed it, but right after we walk out of the restaurant, I feel very bad, dizzy, I can not even standing. I got food poisoning, vomiting and diarrhea, blood in the stool. I’m going to hospital tmr morning. My BF is ok because he doesn’t eat beef, the only difference for us is the beef, give it 2 stars because the service is really good. Nice works in the restaurant, But the food is not lean. I have been in the toilet for 2-3 hours… feel helpless and crying…

Plusieurs visite à ce resto et à chaque fois tout était parfait. Service rapide et amical, la bouffe est super et on peut apporter son vin. Quoi demander de plus?

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Le propriétaire du restaurant est très attentionné et sympathique. Il nous a rapidement apporté un sceau à glace et des verres à notre arrivée. Le service a été rapide malgré le fait que le restaurant était bondé et qu’il y avait peu de serveuses/serveurs. La nourriture est excellente et l’ambiance décontractée et festive est agréable en groupe. Une belle découverte que je recommande fortement.

C'était notre première visite au Kui en famille. Nous avons adoré notre expérience. La nourriture était excellente et les serveurs très sympathiques et le service était rapide. La nourriture arrivait 4-5 minutes après la commande. Nous y retournerons, c'est certain. Nous sommes venus un mercredi soir.

Excellent service, la nourriture est bonne standard. La variété laisse à désirer par contre… Le pire est la propreté du restaurant. Celui-ci est tellement sale, mais réellement vraiment très très sale. S’il tolère une salle à manger aussi encrassé, je n’ose pas imaginer la cuisine…

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere! Staff were super-friendly and attentive, the owner (Mr. Lee) even came to our table and personally thanked my family and I, he and the entire staff then made a wonderful birthday surprise for my sister. 10/10 would recommend, especially the sweet brisket!

Très décevant!
Pour 44.00$, ce n’est qu’un buffet avec peu de services, tout le travail repose sur les clients qui doivent faire griller et commander à répétition les aliments crus à faire griller…. Pousser dans une limite de 2 heures de présence après quoi il faut quitter en se faisant rappeler la limite de temps, ce qui est nettement insuffisant pour un tel concept surtout pour un groupe de 4 personnes ou plus!
Cela semble évident que ces propriétaires semblent plus intéressés au profit à faire qu’à leur clientèle! Ne retournerons pas!

After searching for a good place to go, we stumbled on this one which had great reviews and were really excited to try. We showed up and were told that it was fully booked and it was by reservation - but no where on the site is it mentioned that a reservation is needed so we just wasted our time waiting for nothing. Not to mention it took a full 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us waiting. Sad we didn’t get to try, but the service already was pretty disappointing.

This is third time I ate there.
All other tables were already full until when we started eating and I thought we couldn’t avoid to wait some time before we got the items we ordered.
Service is efficient and the items were delivered almost right away.
To make an order, we need to write our order into a small piece of paper in general but the servers even offered us the refill when they saw our lettuce bucket was empty.
We can bring our own drinks here.
The price is still reasonable considering to the quality and the service.

Just got back from my birthday supper and we were not disappointed! The food is so good, the grill plates are changed frequently through the meal so you don’t get nasty charred bits, the service was attentive and super friendly and the owner Mr. Lee made it a point to come out and chat with us about our meal. When he found out it was my birthday he organized the staff to play the happy birthday song over the speakers and gave our table a birthday treat! This restaurant is the epitome of a friendly neighbourhood eatery and it’s worth the trip to Verdun to go!

Nous avons passé un bon moment entre amis, c'est convivial et le rapport qualité prix est l'un des plus intéressants que j'ai vu jusqu'à présent.

Seul petit bémol en fin de soirée la fumée des barbecues est un peu présente partout mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé.

I went on Friday night so I got to try the special weekend items like tartar.

It was very good especially the beef tartar.
The rest of the food could be categorized into 2 groups: authentic (like Kimbap) and underwhelmingly boring (like chicken, sausage).

I wish they had a bigger choice of vegetables; so far it's only 2, onions and zucchini.

They also forgot to bring at least 2 dishes I ordered but I realized it only when I got home. Yet I noticed at the resto i was missing something else and had to remind them to bring it (the resto was not very busy at that time).

The BBQ thing produces a lot of great so it's better to go there when the weather is not very hot.

Really tasty authentic Korean all you can eat BBQ. Good quality meat in delicious marinade. BYOW. So happy to have found this spot! Will definitely be back again soon! Oh yea, staff and owner are informative, sweet, fun and down to earth!

Le service est incroyablement mauvais. Ils ont pris plus de 30 minutes avant de simplement nous apporter des assiettes et des verres d’eau. Comptez 20 minutes de plus pour qu’ils prennent le soin de prendre notre commande. Nous avons commandé certains items à répétition et nous ne les avons jamais reçus.

De plus, ils vous répondent en anglais quand vous leur parlez en français.

La nourriture était bonne mais je vous recommanderais sérieusement d’aller ailleurs pour une bonne expérience.

Best korean bbq I've ever had! I really had an amazing dinner.

The food was great. I highly recommend bulbogi, marinated pork and bibimbap, specially bulgogi. Because this place is "BYOW", it can be crowded and very busy. I waited for a table for 15~20 minutes but it was worth waiting for a table.

The restaurant shows authenticity and has a good vibe. I spotted the owner going from table to table to make sure everything was alright, which I admire. It shows he really cares about his business. All the meat we ordered was so tasty. Can't wait to return!

Expérience décevant dimanche soir dernier malgré ma grande excitation à découvrir ce nouveau restaurant de quartier. La nourriture était bonne et le menu diversifié (je vous recommande fortement le bœuf bulgogi), mais le service a été plus que catastrophique. Malgré notre réservation, nous avons attendu 15 min à la porte sans qu’aucun serveur ou gérant nous salue ou nous fasse un signe de patienter. Délai encore plus long avant qu’on vienne nous servir de l’eau, apporter des ustensiles & assiettes ou tout simplement nous saluer et expliquer le concept. Au niveau des commandes, nous avons commandé à trois reprises un simple riz blanc et nous ne l’avons jamais eu malgré plusieurs demandes au serveur. Et j’en passe. Très déçu de cette expérience - malgré que le restaurant n’était pas plein, ni en période de pointe.

Really disappointing place.

To start, when we first came in there was a huge line but multiple tables free. The tables were left unclean for really long time and clients were seated when the servers decided to clean them. We took some pictures attached in the review to show the experience

When we were finally seated, we placed our order right away. The table in front of us placed their order ten minutes after us but they got their food before we did. We brought this to the waiters attention and he told us the boss never placed our order. Luckily our waiter fixed this and put our order in priority once we brought this matter to his attention. We ended up receiving our order 25 minutes after ordering.

Our waiter was really attentive after the incident which was appreciated. The boss on the other hand did not seem to care very much about our situation which was really disappointing as a customer.

Their ordering system lacks organization as we had to order some items twice because our order got lost. This issue was extremely bad the first time we visited the restaurant (one week after the opening). There was an evident improvement but still disappointing for it to happen again.

As a lot of other reviews mention, the food is really good. It's just not worth it

Meat and vegetables are fresh and of high quality; salads and meals like tofu stew are great well. Overall quality is higher than those ones in dt, really recommend. For the ventilation, personally think it’s fair good enough. The atmosphere is nice.

Warm and fast service. What’s not satisfying is refilling water, glasses are small, a little annoying when asking for water during busy hours.

Will definitely go there again!

Nourriture très bonne et très variée, service chaleureux de la part de toute l'équipe. Comme il s'agit d'une nouvel endroit, le «hype» de la nouveauté attire énormément de personnes, il est essentiel de réserver avant de s'y rendre. Par contre, comme les barbecues aux tables dégagent beaucoup de chaleur, je déconseille d'y aller en pleine canicule.

This restaurant is awesome! If you can eat you get your money's worth. They are nice and are very aware of the guest's need! If you have great friends you will have a great time there!

Le service est super: même si certains ont de la difficulté parfois avec le français, ils font l’effort et sont très chaleureux. Ils connaissent tous très bien le menu, font des recommandations et même des démonstrations. La nourriture est très bonne et l’expérience agréable. Ok, so this was quite a disappointment. After reading all the great reviews we were quite excited to try it out. But honestly the meat (beef) was just average taste/freshness wise. We’ve honestly had better galbi & bulgogi elsewhere. The chicken (all of them) tasted much much better. Also, a portion of what we ordered never came, or came verrry late. And even for that, we had to ask for them several times. Overall, we found that the place is over-priced for what it is. But, but, but they have a very friendly and courteous staff. So that‘s nice.

Reserved for a party of 10 at arrived at golden hour. Service was a little slow, but it was to be expected for a second week of opening. Very friendly staff who even changed the music to have some Kpop play for my friend's birthday.

Went there on a whim! Actually the smells kinda brought us in. As I love Korean BBQ I was excited to see one in Verdun. The Place is nice the BBQ grill works on butane and I find them a little slow versus some place that use Natural gaz but overall when the plaque is up temperature we have a nice sear. The beef and chicken were very tasty as the appetizers we took. The staff is friendly and is very eager to please. Overall a great experience and as a new restaurant in Verdun I wish them good fortune and all the best!

Very disappointing and a bad experience! Food was not that great after waiting a long time for it to cook. Had better korean bbq downtown. The place was filled with bbq smell and worse, both my friend's and my clothes stunk with bbq after going out. Seriously need better ventilation.

Went during the last day of the soft open. Mr. Lee was very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and I was shocked to see quality dishes like the Haemul Sondobu Jjigae, Bibimbap and no-charge-added Ssam as part of an A. Y. C. E menu.
I look forward to seeing how this restaurant evolves and improves over time. A welcome addition to la Well!

Restaurant is open for a soft open so the menu and things will change in a week. Good food, friendly staff. A bit Smokey they will need to improve ventilation for when they are busy and outside weather isn't good. Service was a tad slow and confused but that is normal for a soft opening. Prices were decent. It is typical in table Korean bbq all you can eat. Currently 19.99 pp may change with real opening.
