Fav go to place ever. Best resto in montreal. Best atmosphere ever. There is no other place like this in Montreal.

Un bel endroit qui rappelle les bistro classiques de Paris grâce à son décor. La nourriture et les cafés sont délectables. Le personnel est sympathique, efficace et respectueux.

Les croissants gouttaient le surgelé et étaient dures. De plus, il y avait un insecte sur l’un de mes croissants.

Lorsque j’ai appelé à la boulangerie pour leur en faire part, la personne m’a mentionné être au courrant que ses croissants étaient dures.pourquoi les vendre alors et à un prix élevé en plus?

Je n’y retournerai jamais plus!

The atmosphere is beautiful! The owner is warm and inviting. The burgers here are also so delicious!

Neighborhood terrasse for your coffee, croissant and anything in between. I’ve been to this place over the past decade and the service has always been consistently great. I’ve had a chance to try many things on their menu and it’s always a place where we may end up choosing to soak up the sun, have a French lunch, have a special for dinner, have a late night snack (it closes late) or even have a late coffee/ wine and dessert. The menu is long but I’ve always liked their gondole chicken sandwich, their carrot juice and their almond croissant. The inside is art deco Paris and it feels like you’re sitting in Europe. The outside is full of vividly colored flowers and is probably one of the places in the area that gets the most sun. I suggest you go there and try it even if it’s just for a glass of wine.

Tous les plats commandés n’avaient aucune saveur.c’est cher pour rien! 2 nems pour 14$+taxes. J’y ai ete parce que le resto d’en face était fermé.

Rapport qualité/prix.zéro. Je mets 2 étoiles uniquement pour le service reçu. Pour le reste ça ne vaut rien. Des plats surgelés qui ont mis 1h (Je confirme!) avant d'arriver et une hygiène globale du restaurant assez douteuse. Et tout est hors de prix. À éviter!

I just love this place, I've been going here since I was 18 I think……. I love the retro kind of décor and the very café like experience that I seek. The food is decent but I really go there for the atmosphere and the feeling of nostalgia of back in the day poets and writers.

La nourriture était vraiment bonne! La serveuse était tellement gentille que je me sentais mal de la déranger. Finalement: l'ambiance! La musique est bonne et on a juste envie de rester là des heureus tellement c'est paisible.

Croissant bons, sans plus, mais qui reviennent à 9$ chacun avec fromage à la crème! Nous n'avions pas été avertis que cet extra coûterait en fait plus que le croissant lui-même.
C'est décevant.

My friends didn’t like their pancakes at all, the croissant was good, but I paid 15$ for the croissant and a lemonade. A bit expensive for a small croissant and a drink. Only good aspect I would give is the ambiance, it’s nice at night. Though, it would heavily benefit from real candles, at least on the weekend nights.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy good food + quality time with loved ones. I always come back to this place and feels magic!

We came to have dinner, the food is really good, we.also had the almond croissant and is never disappointing, food was delicious, they didn't took that long to bring the food and the place is Charming.

The restaurant is old but reminded me of many in Europe of heck, New England, they don’t update anything but that is part of the charm, no? Or… to some NO!

My sister would hate it, my mom on the fence, she loved the music but thought a few repairs would be nice and just a tad (a tad, really better fruit, I understand summer is over, so harder to get summer fruits but hard melon is awful).

The service was good, our waitress polite and I’m not sure why people complained about the timing, we got our drinks right away and food within 15 minutes and all hot!

Again, it is not a hip and happening place but you aren’t paying $7 for coffee or $25 for eggs. There is no dj (like at Bar George) in the back and no need to dress up. If you want Instagram photos, take a look around and above the bar! The eclectic decorative pieces there are worthy of a photo but my mother doesn’t “believe” in photographing food, places or your drink!

Do go if you just want to try an old school place, we enjoyed our meal and time there. Thank you.

Bel endroit, serveurs sympas. Nos verres d’eau etaient toujours pleins, ce fut apprecié, j’ai aimé la salade, les cafe et le jus que j’ai commande. Ce fut agreable:)

I definitely recommend trying the baguette as a substitute to your bread, pita.great comfort food that leaves you satiated.

Crepe with banana was not very good. Coffee was good. The whole thing is a little overpriced

Croissant surgelés, le double chocolat mesure 5 cm et aucun service. Au point de se déplacer pour payer. Très déçue!

It is difficult to run a restaurant persistently good in service and quality. I noticed that non of these were satisfying at the recent visit. The Flammkuchen/ Onion Tart probably taking out from the freezer 5 minutes ago. The onions were raw and weren't baked enough. The staff was friendly but preoccupied and not focused on customers.

Such a charming restaurant with fantastic fresh croissants. Lunches are also great or even just a dessert and a drink in the evening. Beautiful decor, terrace and service. This restaurant has been there for more than 30 years and you can see why!

Ambiance was great and so is their terrace. Their service is incredibly slow to not only take our order but also to bring out the food or drinks.

The price was expensive for the portion I received and it's not authentic French food. I had better croissant and croque monsieur. They could also work on their presentation. Some plates looked like a mess when they arrived at the table.

Their food was okay without any wow. Some were good like the quiche à la provençale, the baguette (which wasn't a baguette) with butter and jam, Le Bonjour! And their carrot cake.

The disappointments were the croque monsieur (where was the bechamel and why does it taste and look like a pizza?), the dessert crêpes with banana, chocolate (too expensive at 12$ for like 2 mini crepes cut into 4 pieces) and their latte looked weird especially the milk foam on top (it looked dry).

Anyways, we were attracted by their terrace and curiosity won us over but I'll not go out of my way to go there. There are better french coffee shops for better and less expensive.

The place is really nice, it gives you a Paris vibe, food is okay, nothing different from another cafe

Votre engagement contre les pires pratiques d'élevage et d'abattage des poulets n'est pas assez précis.
La Croissanterie doit faire un dernier effort pour les poulets et préciser que cet engagement concerne l'ensemble de ses restaurants, y compris ses franchises, et tous les pays où l'enseigne est présente!

Best food, best ambiance, friendly atmosphere and generous portions. We have been going there since 1992 and will not stop. Best croissants and best carrot cake in town.

Nous sommes allés dîner la fin de semaine dernière à la Croissanterie. Quel petit endroit charmant! Je tournais la tête de tous les côtés pour regarder le décor, on aurait presque dit un petit café à Paris. J’ai pris la Gondole, un sandwich chaud au poulet, pesto et avocat qui était délicieux. J’ai hâte d’y retourner.

Service is good, the gentleman is very nice! The menu du soir is not the greatest… haven’t tried the pastries!

Le seul café à Montréal qui me rappelle Paris et des cafés de St. Germain et ceux de St. Michel. Bonne ambiance, accueil chaleureux et menu varié. Bref, c‘est vraiment impeccable. Il faudrait déguster ses croissants avec un bol de café mocca? ️

I've never written a review before but this is the worst restaurants I've been to in Montreal. I ordered two croissants which the owner (who was not wearing a mask during a pandemic) heated up in the MICROWAVE and grabbed with his bare hands. The croissants were the TINIEST I've ever seen, literally miniature. They were also very stale one of them was RAW inside! It was clearly raw dough (see photo), it smelled and tasted very raw. And the price for two minuscule, old and uncooked croissants was close to 10$. I thought that a place that calls itself a "croissanterie" selling tiny croissants at this price should at least make good croissants, but they were disgusting. The good ratings on here must be fake, I would never recommend this place to anybody and I definitely don't think they follow the hygiene standards that restaurants are supposed to follow.

Bon café, croissants plutôt bons. Pas de passe sanitaire exigé, par contre. C'est injuste pour les cafés qui respectent la loi.et risqué.

Pour y avoir travaillé, il serait malhonnête de recommander une telle place.
Ne vous faites pas avoir par les autres avis!
Les prix sont exorbitants par rapport aux quantités.
Les employés travaillent dans des conditions horribles et insalubres (insectes et nuisibles dans les sous-sols et pour la préparation de la nourriture).
Le patron, Sharman, est une ordure et un escroc qui ne déclare pas ses employés. Il ne paye pas non plus les heures supplémentaires (semaines de 50 heures payées 35).

La place devrait être fermée depuis longtemps mais vous pouvez y contribuer en n'y allant pas.

Horrible,
Tout d’abord les passeports vaccinaux ne sont pas vérifiés et les cuisiniers ne portent pas de masques.
Les prix sont plutôt cher pour la quantité.
Seuls point positif les serveuses sont très gentilles, souriantes et à l’écoute mais elles ont l’air débordées. L’une s’est faites crier dessus aujourd'hui nous ne savons pas la raison mais elle avait l’air apeurée et les larmes aux yeux.
Le patron avait l’air énervé tout le long de notre venue.
Les ustensiles ne sont pas très propres.
D’ailleurs le patron lui même ne porte pas de masque.
Ne vous fier pas aux 4 étoiles des avis!

Croissant dinde fromage. = une moitié croissant.une trache de dinde et tranche de fromage mince.tout cela pour 15$ et un service exécrable.

Good croissants, plain, filled with cream, nutella or chocolate. All delicious. Coffee is the best here, espresso well done. Parisian decor. Stays open late.

Mais quel dommage des sandwichs au croissant rikiki, il en aurait fallu deux pour le prix!
Et un extra avocat dans ma salade pour 3,95 $… euh….

Great croissants, an excellent breakfast a la terrase, as they say. The service was excellent and the wait staff were pretty quick to realize that we weren’t going to get very far en Francais.

The coffee was well made and everything very quick, would definitely recommend for a tucked away little spot.

A nice place for breakfast in the Mile-End neighbourhood. Not a lot of big options though, and more of a French-style portion type if you know what I mean…

Service inadmissible, nous sommes très déçus. Il y avait peu de monde en terrasse, la serveuse nous a pris la commande et nous a fait attendre 1h. Nous étions indulgents et n'avons rien réclamé, même pas des verres d'eau. Finalement elle est revenue nous voir au bout d'une heure pour nous dire qu'elle avait perdu la commande et devait la reprendre. Nous sommes partis et ne reviendrons plus.

Très bonne ambiance sur la terrasse. La nourriture est bonne et il y avait une bonne sélection de dessert et de sandwichs. En parlant des sandwichs mes collègues ont bien aimés. Le burger était bon mais sans plus. Une étoile en moins a cause du service plutôt lent, ce qui est compréhensible a cause de l'heure de pointe et la réouverture après la pandémie. C'est sur aussi notre groupe revenait du travail et on avait très faim.

This remains to be my favourite café and terrasse in Montreal! Love the vintage French decor inside and the terrasse is beautiful in the summerTasty croissants, good coffee, and nice staff. Some of the most memorable get-togethers of my 8 years in Montréal happened at Figaro. This wonderful café is the perfect 5th Beatle. A character in your story, not just a backdrop. Not to mention, the excellent croissants, the superb staff, and the central location. A note about the croissants: I have not had croissants this good anywhere else, except sometimes in France. The crust is perfect, the layers at just the right count, the fillings delicious. It is, after all, a croissanterie. But it's so much more. Do not miss the Figaro experience!

Excellent atmosphere, of a Parisien cafe, with delicious coffee and snacks. Friendly and efficient service.

I had dinner here twice the food was solid, nothing complex we eat on the patio both times the service was good but a little slow. Their sides were the best part of the dish. Would go on occasion, and the price is decent.

Have been going for years! The terrace is stunning during Spring, Summer and Fall months. And during the winter months, it's art deco interior is perfectly warm and cozy! The location is on corner lot of a quiet neighborhood street. Its perfect little menu with just the right amount of choices to choose from and for everyone 's taste, make it a must see and enjoy!

La Croissanterie Figaro is an authentic french bistro in Outremont. It has been known for many years for its warm and enchanting décor.

In my opinion, they serve the best croissant in town (warm, buttery and fluffy). The prices are excellent and the staff is very knowledgable and attentive. The terrasse in the summer is a pleasant place to grab a coffee or a glass of wine.

Oui, je suis un client de longue date du Figaro. J'annonce à Sharmand (le proprio) qu'on vient de se marier. Surprise il nous paye un verre de vin! Mais quelle SURPRISE quand plus tard il me donne un pot de sa sauce moyenne piquante, de son cru 2017. Ôôôh! Je n'en reviens pas.

Staff are nice and helpful, portion is too little compared to price, atmosphere is lovely it has the vibe of early 1900. Good for 5-7

Décevant. Je m'y suis rendu pour y prendre plusieurs viennoiseries plus 1 douzaine de croissants pour emporter et des jus frais sur l'heure du brunch. J'avais bien vanté le goût et la fraîcheur des produits. Une fois à la maison j'ai malheureusement constaté que la moitié des croissants étaient brûlés et semblaient être ceux de la veille. Les autres viennoiseries étaient bonnes mais sans wow. J'irai ailleur à l'avenir.

Like a Parisian café. An unassuming exterior hides an ornate dining room that feels like walking into another era. Solid breakfast / brunch options like croque monsieur and a big selection of crepes, sweet and savory. The croissants are excellent, particularly the almond paste. Friendly service. The menu is in French, not sure if they have an English one available.

OK. Different classy intimate good management furnace midst of all. Croissant a LA perfecto. Worth coming back Sunday brunch. Price should be no object!

J'y suis allée à deux reprises pour prendre un café et un croissant qui sont sont délicieux! Décor original style parisien. Ce n'est pas donné, mais l'ambiance agréable et le service sympathique compensent.

Staff are great but the wait is long and the food isn't great. For a place with croissant in their name, it's a shame that the croissant's taste like they are from frozen dough.

Excellent avec une superbe terrasse, ça c'était mon appréciation il y a deux ans (4 étoiles). Nous y sommes retournés fin décembre 2018, quelle déception! La fleur déjeuner ne ressemble à rien, les crêpes déjeuner sont mauvaises, tout simplement. Quand au burger, la viande, surgelée, était tellement cuite. Et sèche, qu'il y avait de quoi s'étouffer. Heureusement restent la baguette et la gentillesse des serveuses, mais cela ne suffit pas pour nous faire revenir. Mauvaise expérience ou tendance de fond? Reprenez vous!

The best little old-world cafe in Montreal - in my opinion. Nice cozy atmosphere, good coffee, delicious pastries & desserts, pleasant service. I come here every time I visit the city. A gem!

Charming neighborhood place for brunch. Great patio in the summer. However, not everything is flawless. I suppose part of the charm is the relaxed service, but it can cross over the fine line to be frustrating.
