I heard this was a really popular place in the plateau area so I finally checked it out. Service was good. Food was good but portions were small - however, pricing is done appropriately to the size of portions. Unfortunately for me, most items on the menu contain poached eggs (I strongly dislike uncooked yolk) so I stuck to the sweet side of the menu and tried to the French toast. It was a nice blend of flavours. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was good. Service was also good. I didn’t find this place to be extraordinary but it’s certainly good if you’re in the area. Not sure I would go out of my way to come back, but definitely worth a try if you’re nearby.

J'ai eu le plaisir d'organiser le party de Noël de mon entreprise avec La Fabrique pour un groupe d'environ 70 personnes. L'expérience a été exceptionnelle à tous égards: la communication préalable a été remarquable, le personnel s'est montré attentif à tous nos besoins. La qualité de la nourriture était excellente, et le service, même pour un groupe aussi important, était tout simplement remarquable. Je recommande vivement La Fabrique sans la moindre hésitation! Un grand merci à tous les membres de La Fabrique pour avoir contribué à rendre cette soirée mémorable!:)

Petits attentions ont fait de notre souper une très belle expérience. La confection des plats est clairement fait avec des ingrédients de qualités et surtout rien de préfabriqué.

La nourriture était très bonne et il y avait une bonne variété de choix. Le personnel était très gentil et nous a aidé en nous donnant plus d’information sur le menu. Je recommande de partager la planche mixte en entrée, la portion est généreuse. Les desserts sont aussi parfaits pour partager, je recommande le pain perdu.

Had a nice dinner date, with amazing food, great service and nice atmosphere. The portion is very generous and they tell you when you order too many. They did not forget to ask regarding allergies and dietary restrictions (we did not have any tho). They gave a very good whipped butter and bread and homemade pickles that has a wonderful taste. I like their foie gras and cold soup of the day. I also liked the main dish, both the gnocchi (vegan but very tasty) and halibut dish is incredible. I also like how their dishes are rich in flavors and balanced nutrition wise (good amounts of carbs, protein and also a good amount of greens). The dessert was also really good.

The food (pancakes, two different types of French toast and pork bacon) were fantastic. However, we found a hair in one of our dishes towards the end (so too late to return to kitchen and get a new plate prepared). We informed our server and I wasn't pleased with the resolution. Instead of offering to discount or remove the item from our bill, she offered a complimentary hot beverage. At this point we were stuffed and did not want to eat or drink anything else. We made this clear and yet were given a complimentary doughnut dessert to "make up for the hair". I'm not sure why the restaurant was so insistent that we take a free item when we expressed how full we were. I would have expected better service from this restaurant.

Client régulier depuis 2ans et jamais déçu. Menu qui change selon les saisons et l'inspiration du chef avec un focus sur le goût avant tout. Mentions spéciales pour leur tartares et oeufs qui sont excellents. Service impeccable aussi. Sur réservations seulement par contre.

C’est un restaurant discret sur la rue Saint-Denis à côté du métro Sherbrooke. J’y vais de temps en temps sachant qu’il est très populaire pour les brunchs. Je vous conseille de réserver ou d’arriver après 13h30. Je n’ai pas compris l’explication pourquoi on ne pouvait pas servir le sandwich avec la macreuse de bœuf. Mais l’échine de porc et les pancakes pour partager étaient un super choix, surtout en une journée plus fraîche et pluvieuse. Le service est impeccable et la personne qui refait les tables à des gestes délicats et une attention aux détails.

Une soirée magnifique!
Nourriture excellente, nous avons pris en entrée le plateau de fromage et charcuterie, les calamars frits et en plats le bœuf et le porc. Le service était également parfait, notre serveuse venait de commencer il y a 4 jours et était aux petits soins.
Je recommande vivement, particulièrement les vins!

Lovely place with great atmosphere and even better food. It was the first place my wife and I ate at while visiting Montreal and it really kicked off the trip in a fantastic way. Highly recommend coming here for dinner.

It’s not the typical brunch that you would find in other restaurants. The hibiscus juice was fresh and so tasty! The pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet. Really good experience!

Great dinner experience.

The service is excellent. Our server is really kind and patient with us, a group of people from outside Montreal, looking at the menu from top to bottom.

We had the foie gras and cheese terine for our starters.
Foie gras is soft and creamy. Apple syrup is sweet and tangy.
I would love to recommend the cheese terine. It tastes wonderful. Combined with fresh (tangy) and preserved (on the sweet side) apple, amazing.

For the main, we had the swordfish, leek risotto and the beef shoulder.
I guess the swordfish is a seasonal menu. All I can say that it is amazing. The swordfish is cooked nicely, not overcooked, sauce is nice, salty and sweet at the same time, along with the squash gnocchi.
Leek risotto, creamy, a bit on the sweet side from boiled leek I guess, together with the mozarella. At first I thought it's going to be creamy and cheesy overwhelm but apparently it's perfectly balanced.
Beef shoulder is perfectly cooked, you can tear it apart using a fork, real tender.

Recommended for dinner date or a group dinner.

If you’re planning to come here, just know the menu is very eclectic. Some people may love it, but it might not be for others. It was hard to find something I would love on the menu. Got the pancakes and they were too sweet for brunch.and I like sweet foods. Didn’t leave the restaurants loving the meal and feeling satisfied.

Excellente atmosphère, le service est rapide, sans trop, et très courtois. La nouriture est très bonne pour une facture très raisonnable.

J'y suis allée dans le cadre de Montréal à table. Les plats étaient délicieux et l'accord met et vins bien recherché. Nous avons senti l'amour dans les plats et les employées semblaient fier.e. S de l'établissement. Nous avons reçu un excellent service attentionnée et la serveuse connaissait bien le menu et les vins. Il y avait de l'espace entre les tables et une bonne ambiance.

Had a 3 course meal. The porc ham, steak and pain perdu were all delicious! Amazing service, our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about wine.

Super cute brunch spot! My partner and I shared the oysters and both ordered the pancakes. The soft boiled egg is absolutely chefs kiss. The crisp apples do great at balancing the sweetness of the syrup. Pancakes were buttery and airy. The oysters tasted absolutely fresh and they gave us two kinds (I forgot the names srry). Great place to grab brunch in Montreal!

Everything is different from what we thought in a good way. Thick bacon is much thicker, so is pancake and French toast. Swordfish is very unique.

La Fabrique is one of the finest restaurants in Montreal. Please reserve a table if you are visiting on weekends, it gets real busy. The food was amazing, and so was the service. They can customize the food if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. Waiters were knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks (Mimosa) were fantastic too.

This place never disappoints. I went for brunch to celebrate my birthday back in July with a group of 12 people and the service was excellent - from booking the reservation down to our bill payments. The menu is exquisite, with a variety of well thought out dishes. I had a latte for my coffee and I was very well pleased too - I'm an avid coffee lover, and I could tell the beans they used were fresh.

I went back again recently to take out my best friend for her birthday - she LOVED the place. She had the apple pancakes and I the pulled pork cranberry homemade (!) english muffin. Again, the lattes were ex-cel-lent.

The brunch here was amazing! Didn’t have a reservation, but we were seated right away on the patio. Staff was super nice and helpful. The fluffiest pancakes I have ever eaten, get them if you know what’s good for you

Toujours aussi bon! Des plats aux associations originales et toujours savoureux.
On en parle de leur pain perdu et caramel beurre salé maison? Wow.on en prendrait 10 par personnes.
Serveurs et cuisiniers très sympathiques et aux petits soins. Bref une de nos places préférées sur Montréal pour le brunch ou le souper.

Superbe expérience à cette adresse! Les plats sont bien maîtriser, saveurs bien balancé, service impeccable et très jolie décor.

I‘m not really a fan of pork (because of the fat), but the english muffin with the pulled pork was magnificent! The pancake was also quite nice, the sauce was a bit on the sweeter side for me, but still very good! If you‘re going with friends, I suggest ordering different dishes and sharing all together.
Also, we witnessed a birthday celebration, which was quite nice. They gave them cotton candy with a firecracker

Pretty decent food for brunch. Ordered the beef sandwich and my friend ordered the beet salad. We also shared the beignets which were super YUMMY. The beef sandwich was nothing special and the beet salad was good. The atmosphere was great and the service was spot on. Would come again to try other dishes.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. So happy I came to this place. Had brunch with a friend and it was really good. The french toast variations were spot on and the beef tartare was as you would find in a bistro in Paris. Loved the coffee too. Will surely be back!

This is my favorite brunch place so far. We ordered the pam fried brioche toast, and a meat pasta, with an apple juice with yuzu and a coffee. The texture of the french toast was so soft, and the apple on the side has so much flavor and great softness. Even simple ingredients like grape tasted so fresh and fill of flavor. The pasta was light but full of flavor, we liked that it has some arugula and onions and an egg on top, which makes it taste even more refreshing.
It was only three days ago since we visited, but I already miss the food already.
This would be our go to brunch place for our next trip to Montreal.

Amazing food. Everything on the menu was really memorable. Foodgasm on a plate. Must try pancakes and thick cut bacon. Also the sandwiches.

Worst experience ever! Seated for 40 minutes but didn’t even get our drinks on the table! Was planning to have dinner in this restaurant, maybe its because our reservation is 30 minutes before their kitchen closes, the waitress didn’t even ask if we need to eat anything. If you allow ppl to make reservations at this time, then you should provide your full service! NOT recommend at all!

This place was right under our nose and honestly a true 5 out of 5. Oysters felt fresh, the prices feel reasonable and the French toast was out of this world

While waiting for our table, an older local couple told us it was worth the wait and recommended the pork shoulder and salmon tartare; I had the pork shoulder and it was excellent! Will definitely try the salmon tartare and beef tartare next time! Also get the $4 croissant it was delicious

Busy place so make sure you call in advance for reservation. We are visitors and we don’t speak French but they make the experience very comfortable for us. The receptionist, the server and the chef are very nice. Overall we enjoy the food. Good price good portion. I like my beef tartare to go with an extra thick bacon. My dad’s turkey sandwich is quite dry, but that is to be expected with turkey meat.

La décoration et le service étaient supers, mais les chaises un peu inconfortables. La pieuvre en entrée était vraiment excellente, les plats étaient bons mais le dessert (un gâteau au chocolat avec oranges confites et fraîches) était moyen, un goût presque industrialisé, un peu fade. Une belle soirée mais je ne vais pas nécessairement faire des gros efforts pour y retourner.

I've been to this restaurant at least 30 times in the last 5 years and I've never been disappointed. The menu always has something new to try. The staff is always pleasant, and longstanding which tells me that the owners/mgrs are good to them.

Un de mes endroits préférés pour une belle soirée entre amis. La hôtesse est vraiment gentille, les plats sont goûteux et tout vraiment excellent les uns que les autres. Ne partez pas sans avoir commandé leur pain perdu, une vraie tuerie!

Si je devais organiser une soirée dans un restaurant sur le plateau, je reviendrai à cette adresse sans hésitation!

Excellent meal and fantastic service from Stephanie. The block suffered a blackout during our meal and the staff didn't miss a beat. Brought out candles and still delivered an excellent dinner.

We had attended here for breakfast. Amazing foods. Great balance of sweet and savory. Services was outstanding, and the setting was hip and cozy all at the same time.
