Amazingly good cafe latte. I have been visiting from Australia for a week and trying many cafes to find a decent coffee; La Finca is the best I have tried in the central Montréal area. The croissant was fantastic too! Lovely atmosphere on a wet Sunday.
This place was awesome. Food was really good. Always very busy everyone loves it and it's clear why, service plus food is very good ans reasonable price.
The place is nice with a patio in the back, just a shame it closes early at 3pm. Staff is very friendly, you can buy a few organic cereals/jams/beers/chocolate and gifts. They have a gluten-free brownie and the matcha latte is great but their filtered coffee is quite light/watered down so better to get an allongé.
We were at La Finca yesterday for lunch. We both had the frittata and lemonade. The frittata was moist and soft, in a good way, aromatic and ropped with a little salad a creamy chèvre. DELICIOUS! The lemonade was the rea, homemade thing: tangy, minty, and PERFECT. The atmosphere was as lovely as the food. An easy 5/5!
Very quaint cafe with terrific cappuccino. It was a little limited in its food choices for us because it had bacon in some of its main dishes. I got the yogurt and granola which was nice but not very sweet. The family got the frittata. They loved the salad on top but weren’t used to the texture of the eggs which where more like soufflés. Certainly a nice place- just not for us.
I had the kale smoothie which was good and I normally don’t like kale but I liked the ingredients they used in this. It was very refreshing. I also had the grilled cheese, the mushrooms and cheese made a very good combo.
Very well made speciality coffee. Came in near closing time and was wanting a pour over. They offered to make a Chemex with no hesitation. I asked if it was possible to have it as an iced pour over. They told me they haven't dialed in the bean for iced and was worried it may taste off. It came out perfect! It was a Columbian that tasted fruity, with almost no acidity or bitter. Very happy I came in and will visit again next time in Montreal. My only regret is not getting to visit more and trying their food service offering.
Cozy Cafe with ample seating and small pantry section.
Service is super friendly and their baked good are delicious! The iced coffee was a little dissapointing, relatively weak and didn't have much flavor, but I'd definitely give it another try.
Came here for breakfast on a whim and I’m so glad I decided to! The staff are very kind and patient, and are fluent in English which is helpful. The macchiato and latte are both delicious, and the Danoise Déjeuner was incredible. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming as well. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast, and for an amazing start to my day!
Stopped in for iced coffees and croissants. Delicious! Literally the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Also the best croissant I’ve ever had! More to try in Quebec but so far this has been the best out of 4 or 5 places. Will go back for sure.
It's a lovely place. However I'm giving one star because when you're paying 6$ for a tiny cup of coffee you expect consistency. Last time I ordered a chai latte and it wasn't at all good like the other time. It was like I was drinking warm milk
This cafe/shop is the epitome of what makes Montreal awesome and the soul sigh with satisfaction.wholesome and delicious locally-sourced eats, personable and dedicated staff, cozy but breath-y seating area with thoughtful decor and a lovely ambiance. Now on my list of happy places - thank you.
Wonderful breakfast spot with quick, friendly staff. Nice bar at the front window to set up if you’re on your own and looking to work or read. The yogurt and granola bowl was very tasty.
Lovely service! It's great to see a place like this thriving. I love their mission and how they source their coffee. My coffee and chocolatine were delicious. It was an accidental find but a great one nonetheless.
This is a fantastic choice for breakfast with many options and cozy seating. The interior is bright and kind of urban style with a small shop directly integrated. On the back, there's a small outdoor seating area. Their chocolatines are fantastic and their coffee is good too. I've been there several times while I visited Montreal as it was just the best breakfast option around.
It’s one thing to chance by a cute coffee shop with a good selection of things, it’s another to serendipitously run into a great coffee shop as La Finca. It started as an infatuation with their mango financiers — delicious fruity bites from heaven that quietly and unassumingly sat in their glass display. Coupled with cappuccinos, they were clear winners begging us to come back the next morning. Then it evolved into a love affair as we dove into beautifully cheesy and umami-bomb grilled cheese and champignon sandwiches the next day. This time they had quite a line of patrons on a Sunday morning, but they didn’t break a sweat. We were amongst friends, and felt right at home among the gaggle of people having a good chat or crunching hard on their laptops at work. Either way, it felt just right.
Waited 20min in line to understand there was no more croissants and the pressed orange juice is very small for the price paid - first and last time in La Finca Coffee:/
Recommend for a place to rest and sipping refreshment. I came in to wait for my train. A short walk away from the train station and Metro. They have more dark roast coffee with a selection of other refreshment. I enjoyed their coconut lemonade.
Great open space inside with some retail space, with a cozy patio at the back.
Staffs are friendly and helpful. Wifi is available.
La Finca has a great vibe, I loved getting the chance to hold a meeting here. We had the biggest room in the back and it was perfect. Large enough to fit 10 people! I also had their coffee while we were working and it thought it was really good.
I went a second time to work on a project and I enjoyed my experience there. Everyone is also focused on doing some work, so it had the right productive vibe I needed to focus. Otherwise, I tried one of their specialty coffee drinks: buttercino and wow it was really good (it’s a mix of coffee and butter, following the paleo diet).
Loved the baked goods. Lunch at Finca was ok, I was not super impressed with their naan bread sandwich (naan bread was wonderful, homemade but blend of taste of the sandwich was uneven)
Update: the spot has changed so much post covid, as part of the cafe has been turned into a little super market (where the meeting rooms used to be!) and there’s now a really nice terrace seating area. Buttercino is still my go-to favorite drink, I hope you’ll give it a try
Every high review has a reason! These guys are running a fantastic place. MUST GO! GREAT GREAT GREAT GRILLED SANDWICH. Cakes are incredibly delicious. PB and Jam, man o man GREAT.
Would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the price. Chai lattes are SO good. I’ve tried almost every chai latte in the city and this is the best I’ve had:) super cute too.
Visited this cafe and it was so beautiful! I really recommend coming and they also have snacks & groceries on the side! I recommend the croissants and the cold brew! The Americano was good but I’d prefer the cold brew. The merch there is also great and they sell Sloan tea items! Love this place!
Small cute place in downtown of Montreal. Looks really hidden and even has a terrasse. Amazing cappucino and latte with beatiful representation. The food here is okey, tried grilled cheese and liked it. They have a special coffee with butter, it was not available at the time we came there but definetely going to try next time when I pass by!
The environment is good. Most of the staffs are very friendly. Except for one staff member who always confirms whether I have finished my coffee and food, although I understand that she may need a plate, or feel that I have stayed here for too long. Just don’t understand why I couldn’t finish my food in a plate? It has half left. Why I have to use a bag? And She looks very impatient. Won't come again.
Never had grilled cheese like this before. Leeks and mustard worked wonders. The chicken and herb sandwich was really good too! Combined with the fresh orange juice and the ambiance this made for a perfect quick brunch.
Vraiment chouette!
A lovely place to sit and work. Really cute atmosphere and clean. Prices are a bit high but they have many gluten free and sugar free options, and those are usually expensive anyways. They have a small out door area in the back with a few seats if you can’t find any inside.
Le café est doux et savoureux. La nourriture est excellente: j'ai beaucoup aimé le grilled cheese et je suis tombé en amour avec leurs cookies! Equipe sympathique, espace confortable: allez-y!
Loved the experience! We were from out of town, and the girl serving us at the counter engaged us in meaningful conversation, directed us towards cool restaurants in the area, and made us a fantastic latte. So great!
Good coffee, beautiful and freshly made food, great staff. Decor is nice, white and relaxing, with a conference room available and a beautiful small yard for lounging in the back.
Wow. This is easily the best spot for my morning coffee and croissant in the city that I have been to. I tried many. I was here early —they happily open at 7am! The croissant was still warm. Perfect. Crispy-flaky on the outside. Soft and moist on the inside. Flat white was perfectly strong made with quality beans. The service was so friendly and lovely. It is such a cute spot, also. I would like to hang out here all the time. Their other food looks amazing as well. I will be back for sure.
Great place for a fresh pastry at breakfast rush. Fantastic 3rd wave style espresso-based drinks, properly done. Super friendly faces (even early in the morning!). The croissants are hand-made the old-fashioned laborious way right there. (As well as the other baked goods). The home-made granola is fantastic. I just bought a bag!
Coffees were flavorful and made with care. The desserts were just the right level of sweetness to pair well with the coffee. The pyramid seating was fun for the kids to sit and draw and colour while the adults had a rest. The little patio in the back was quiet and relaxing.
Très mignon et délicieux mais très cher! Un grilled cheese à 10$, ça fait mal au porte-feuille. Sinon, l’accueil est parfait et l’ambiance est chaleureuse.
La Finca is a downtown cafe brewing really good coffee in chic digs. It's spacious for a cafe with a large front dining area and several smaller rooms well decorated with white brick walls and hanging plants in the back. In the way way back is an outdoor patio with more chairs and tables. My latte was well brewed and balanced. One of the best cups I had in Montreal!
Really cute spot near our hotel. Great coffee and good fresh food. Sandwiches aren't cheap but they were delicious. Highly recommend the PB & J as well.
