TLDR: The place was closed for renovations and they never let anyone know so I had to find another place to sleep.
I went here on my wedding night and I got a great service and the rooms were great. Based on that experience I would have put 5 starts. However, for our 5th wedding anniversary we thought it would be nice to come back. So we booked the room and got confirmations without issue, but on the day of I tried calling to confirm the check-in and they never answered even after calling many time. So I had to go on location to complete the check-in.
When I got there the front door was locked and no one was home, and looking through the window I could see that there was some big renovations going on. So I am guessing that the whole B&B is closed, but they never thought it would be good to let people know on their website, or in their voicemail recording, or even to make it so people could not book the rooms during the renovations. And I am not the only one they did this too.
As I was on location another guest showed up and was faced with the same disappointing discovery. So I had to fine another place to sleep last minute.
