Like other reviewers shocked to see the concept of pick up changed. There is no mention on the website apart from big red letters of 2023 Summer vacation closures.
Disappointing to see popularity ruin this great place for the worst.

La Meunerie avait trouvé la recette parfaite. Pas seulement pour ces pains, mais aussi pour le processus de l'achat. On pouvait commander les produits online, payer et faire le pick-up à la boutique.

Tu y vas pendant la journée et il y a des réunions qui t'attendent, tu as de petits enfants un peu impatients, un chien qui jappe? Pas de trouble, chercher le sac n'a pas pris plus que 30 secondes.

Au lieu de garder cette bonne approche, ils ont simplement décidé de retourner en arrière. Évidemment tu peux toujours commander online, mais tu attends en ligne.

La dernière fois j'ai attendu presque 15 minutes avec tout le monde, qui ne savaient pas quoi prendre, qui ont voulu plus d'information sur trois pains différents, qui ne trouvaient plus leur carte de crédit dans leur sac, etc. Quand c'était mon tour, la vendeuse a cherché mon sac, ce qui a pris environ 15 à 20 secondes – et après 15 min et 20 secondes je suis sorti de la boutique. Absolument ridicule.

Là où La Meunerie aurait pu exceller non seulement par la qualité de ses produits, mais aussi par son approche de la vente au détail, elle est simplement revenue en arrière. Vraiment décevant.

Pas de meilleure baguette à Montréal. Des artisans d'exception.

Je n'ai rien mangé ici d'à demi-réussi. Si vous tombez sur une fournée de pains hamburger aux patates, changez vos plans et courez chercher des boulettes pour accompagner ces merveilles.

La meilleure boulangerie de Montréal, leurs pains et viennoiseries sont savoureux! On sent qu’ils utilisent des ingrédients de qualité. Et pour ne rien gâcher, la place est gérée par une belle équipe chaleureuse. Rien qu’y entrer donne le sourire!

The reviews are correct, this place is great. It is really a great example of a local business. They treat their staff well and in turn the clients, which provides a great atmosphere. The bread is also excellent, enough choices for everyone and they take their role seriously, ensuring quality and eco friendliness. I love the paper ties, the bags are still plastic, maybe one day that will change also, if they can find an alternative. Also there are no bags, which should be a standard. The desserts also looked so good, I will have to ty that lemon square next time.

There's good reason the lineup is out the door by 8 in the morning every day. A hidden gem in the middle of NDG. Bread is unbelievably good, sold in 1/4 1/2 or full loafs. Crossants were puffy and flaky. Wish I lived next door.

Sûrement une des meilleures boulangerie à Montréal! Les pains sont tous bons, je ne sais jamais lequel choisir. Aujourd’hui j’ai acheté, pour une première fois, une baguette noix et raisins…il n’en restait presque plus une fois arrivé à la maison. J’ai déjà hâte d’y retourner.

Le pain est excellent, baguette ou miche: croûte agréablement craquante, mie moelleuse et savoureuse. Dommage par contre qu'il y ait moins de choix dans les viennoiseries, vos chouquettes nous manquent!

A French bakery in Montreal that makes better bread that most of French bakeries! Congrats to the team.

A little bit disappointed as there’s not much varieties. Do not go there for pastries, there were none.

They make good bread, but need to improve on their muffins and loaf cakes. Carrot muffins are delicious but way too sweet while loaf cakes are on the drier side and nothing special.

Probably the best bread in the city (or province?).

The lineups around the block say it all. The bread is unmatched and somehow still fairly priced.

How is this place, rated so high? Are they cheating on this. There was nothing in the store. Just a few selection of baguettes and bread and croissant. No patisseries. No cakes.paid street parking and didn't buy anything

This is definitely my most favourite bakery in Montreal. Being European it really makes me feel at home with great tasting bread. The only complaint I have is the cutting of Rustic half’s. Sometimes the half’s are very small and other times a beautiful size. I really feel that they should have a measure on the board when cutting it. Not just by eye. Thank you for understanding.

The quality went down. Significantly down for me to edit this once 5 star review. The croissant are no longer baked the way they used to. They are dense, undercooked and lack flavor. Just overall greasy and bland. No longer as flaky, puffy and uniform as they once were. I assume they changed bakers. It’s really unfortunate because this place stood out when it came to their baked goods. The pastries still seem to taste the same but the croissant, pain aux chocolat and pain aux amandes really took a hit. Lack of finesse

As quality is very good but as service i think it’s not balanced with the the speed of serving the customer, you can see always a line outside just because they don’t want to hire more people sorry but you have to spend more if you want to keep customers because we turn to go for another place sadly

Française, je reconnais être exigeante sur le pain et la qualité de la croûte (en plus je suis team croûte), leur baguette et le quotidien sont excellents!
Je n'ai pas goûté les pâtisseries.

Delicious bread and very accommodating. I accidentally scheduled to pick up an order for a week later than I wanted, but they still prepared my order on the spot. Very kind people working there and I highly recommend this place for the courtesy of the employees and the delicious food!

I had a question about an order, the owner Dina personally took my call and made sure we had our order ready for today.

Not only is this the best bread i have had outside of my favourite boulangerie in Paris, i must say that the service makes the producy even more delicious! I never give reviews, however in this case I absolutely had to spread the ️.

Great local Monkland bakery, amazing baked good, from sweets to breads.the only complaint I had was the length of the line to get in! Though, that is only proof of the delicious baked goods and service they offer!

My favorite bakery in Montreal, until I bought some 'Mr. Felix' - morning "sweet' buns. I gave one to my child, when they started vomiting and crying I discovered they were literally made with SALT and not sugar! The small bite I took to see what the problem was made me gag and my mouth burn.

When I called the store - they rudely cut me off before I could finish my first sentence - saying "'y'a y'a there was a mistake - we made them 'too' salty"' as if they had put an extra teaspoon of salt, not that they hsd replaced sugar with salt and made my child and I SICK!

When I tried to explain it had made my child sick they again cut me off - 'bring them back and we'll refund you'. No apology, no concern for my child, no acknowledgement of the seriousness of the mistake or apparent care for it's impact on their clients!

In my opinion the best baguette in Montréal! Slightly lack luster in the pastry selection but they are good too.

La meilleure boulangerie-pâtisserie de NDG, des alentours et peut-être même de Montréal, du Québec, du Canada, des Amériques, du monde, de l'univers. Bon d'accord, j'exagère peut-être un peu, mais ils font vraiment de super produits. À preuve, les files extérieures qu'il y a! Heureusement, leur service de commande en ligne avec ramassage est pas mal efficace.

I don't know where the hype is coming from. With all these high ratings and the line outside of the store, I thought it must be really good. But my excitement quickly went South: the butter croissant didn't have the flavor or smell of butter, I had way better croissant at many other places; the Mister Felix is so hard and rough that it cut my taste buds and I'm bleeding from it; the strawberry fields is really bland even dipped in the cream they provided. There is really nothing impressive, and the qualities didn't live up to the price, I'm really disappointed, except that the staffs are friendly, the one more star is for them.

Great bakery. Croissants and pastries were fresh. Attention to detail. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Meilleur pain à Montréal? Fort probablement. Leur baguette noix et raisin est délicieuse.

There’s no disputing the high quality of the products, although at $20 for a (very large) loaf of bread it is expected. Unfortunately they stopped making their excellent fougasse, which was a highlight. My main reservation is that they are open 1980s bank hours. Closing at 5 each day, on Sunday afternoon and all day Monday and Tuesday. So you end up going elsewhere at other times, and realize maybe you prefer a source of bread you can rely on being available without having to plan a visit three days ahead! Clearly making enough profit to enable part-time opening.

Aside from their quality guaranteed sourdough and brioche loaves of bread and pastries, you can also expect efficient and courteous service. It is more of a bakery to order and go, not too many seats to stay in, but this doesn't affect its charm. Positive changes, such as paper bag tags, show their care with their environmental impact. I am always excited to see what is next. On Christmas 2021, my partner surprised me with a Meunerie panettone. Like me, he is a fan of this community treasure. I hope this place keeps thriving and brings me pleasant moments every time I go there.

Conveniently next to my veterinarian so every month that I get cat food, I treat myself with one of their bread!

La meunerie Urbaine fait honnêtement le meilleur pain que j'ai eu la chance de manger dans ma vie (et mon copain en dit de même!). En plus, le service est amical et souriant. Je vous conseil fortement cet endroit!
