Ordered wonton soup, some spicy, noodle soup, a spicy chicken dish and salt pepper shrimps.
The only positive was the shrimps.
Everything else is very crude, the taste of MSG is blatantly obvious.
The spicy food is spicy, but not tasteful.
The portions are average.
Service was good overall.

Kung Pao shrimp were dry and tasteless, couldn't even finish it. Black bean fried beef was okay but drowning in watery sauce. You can get better black bean sauce beef anywhere else. Spring rolls were typical.

Grande portion pour petit prix, faites la commande par téléphone chez le marchand sans passer par des applications de commande de nourriture pour éviter les frais.

Is a very good Chinese restaurant, the prices are affordable, the portions are generous. In my opinion they have to work on improving the flavor of the fried rice.

The food is so good, generous portions at a decent price. Authentic Chinese taste. Friendly and accommodating staffs too.

I wanted to take the time to write a review to say thank you to the staff. One of the friendliest restaurants I’ve been to. Kind and welcoming, and of course, the food is great and always served warm!

Ordered cantonese chow mein, and beef & broccoli. Only down note might be noodles were white and soft, they should be yellow and a little crispy. Needed another 30 sec frying in the wok.
Everything else was good, veggies al denté, good portion sizes, sauces could use just a touch more flavour, but I just added a little chili sauce.
Overall very good, going on my list of favorites

Très déçu. Les rouleau printemps était des produits congelés qui a été frit. Vraiment épouvantable. J’ai commandé le poulet général tao qui goûtait l’ail. Ce fut la première fois que je commande la et c’est la dernière fois. Je donne 2 étoile car ce fit mangeable mais pas très bon.

Commandé sur skipthedishes #52 poulet général tao avec riz frit, la portion était très grosse et c'était très bon. Je vais y retourné dans le futur, mais je vais appeler au resto directement pour commander et éviter les frais de skipthedishes.

C'est mon chinois de quartier préféré. Je n'ai pas trouvé mieux à Ville Saint-Laurent. Proprio sympathique.

My favourite confort food restaurant. Nothing to complain. Owner is very responsive and attentive. Wish I live closer to the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place a few months into the pandemic. Our usual Chinese place was closed at the time and so we tried this place. It was cheaper, and although it wasn’t the same quality as our usual place, it was still flavourful and provided comfort in a tough time. It earned a place in our hearts. A few months ago, we were disappointed to notice that they’d raised their prices. For the quality of food that they make, their prices had always been a bargain. Following the price hike, it became a rip off — you can easily find better for the same price. Still, we ordered our pandemic classic and enjoyed it despite the priciness. Finally, yesterday we ordered from them for the last time. The general Tao we received was coated in very odd batter, it did not have any crunch, and it was flavourless. More importantly, half of all the chicken was or contained cartilage. It was disgusting. We could not eat it. Absolute waste of money. A huge shame. Goodbye Shing Do, it was good while it lasted: (

Super delicious food. Incredible generous quantity. Unbelievable competitive prices. Efficient and Friendly staff. Easy parking. Quick takeout. Always my first choice.

Their beef stew is my comfort food, it's always tender and thoroughly cooked and flavored, with a just price and a huge portion.

De vrai wonton chinois a Des crevettes! On a payé plus de 10$ pour Des soupes wontons qui a Des nouvelles et bouillons et il y a Juste du porc hachés? ! Es tu serieux la? !

This place is well established and known for decent Chinese takeout. I ordered the Shanghai Noodles and flavour texture were there. Staff was friendly and was happy to help order. Good experience.

Absolutely true chengdu style. We ordered dozens of time and never disappointed. Tge people who gave bad reviews are not honest. 绝对正宗川味. 屡试不爽. 给差评者口舍周隹

Nous avions fait préparer une commande avec Uber pour emporter.

1 plat Général tao:
Très petite portion pour un plat à 12: 50. Les morceaux de « poulet » n’avais en fait pas de poulet. Que de la chapelure et un mini morceau de poulet à chaque 2-3 morceaux. S’en étais déeulas et infecte. Nous avons jeté la moitié du plat c’étais vraiment immangeable.

1 plat riz frit au Crevettes:
Bonne portion de riz. Légumes pas cuite donc très dur dans la bouche. Arrière goût au riz. 7-8 minis crevettes par contre.

Seul bon commentaire: service rapide.

Mais je m’en passerais.et je vous conseille de même.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Had some chicken fried rice which was okay. Sesame beef wasn’t special. Noodles not really tasty and chicken coconut milk curry was tasteless. Won’t order again.

Generous portion of general tao but the sauce on top has 0 taste, it just makes it soggy. I didn’t enjoy it but objectively it’s passable.if you’re desperate for chinese.

The worst custumer experience I ever had.

The worst food they cannot get your order right. Super cheap. You ask for seafood and there was half one small shrimp cut up.

They do not care if the custumer is wearing a mask.covid time.
The owner Linda takes off her mask on the kitchen? A definate place to catch covid.

Waste of time energy and money. Save yourselfs.

Great service, great food and fair prices. Many great small improvements to dishes and service in general since new owners took over.

Repeat customer. I discovered this place during the pandemic because Kam Do up the street was closed. Nicer dining area (although it's closed for the moment). Prices are comparable to Kam Do, taste is about the same. Shing Do has a better presentation and looks cleaner, in my opinion.

Livraison Uber Eats, j’ai eu ma commande assez rapidement! On a commandé un Combo, tout était très bon, le riz frit, le tao! Je suis cliente très satisfaite!

I'm torn with what to give them as a review.

On the one hand, some of the food was delicious. The amount you get is very fair as well.

On the other hand, other things were awful. We ordered a Combo A, and then added Lemon chicken.

The lemon chicken that we received was actually lime flavored, with pieces of lime in it. It was still tasty, but not what I ordered. The General Tao that came in the combo was so soggy, which makes me wonder, since the lemon (lime) chicken was so crispy. I think their General Tao was just sitting around.

Wonton soup had no flavor either, but the beef and broccoli was nice.

Consider this a low 3-star / high 2-star.

Ordered on Uber but the order did not get processed properly so I called the restaurant to cancel my uber order and take my order manually. The lady on the phone confirmed with me that they wouldn't duplicate the order.

When I showed up to the restaurant, she disregarded everything we talked about and made me pay twice. She duplicated my order. Terrible customer service.

Food was average, noodles were try and the chicken was slimy. Awful experience, never going back again.

Mettons que pour un craving de Chinese food style Chinatown.ca fait la job! Dans l’ensemble, les plats étaient bien (riz frits, soupe aigre-douce, sauce des sautés.)

Ce que j’ai moins aimé: la panure des calmars frits (on dirait une panure de bananes frites inintéressantes et pas croustillantes). Puis c’est la même panure pour le bœuf au sesame.déception! De plus, ça devrais s’appeler « panure au sésame », car presque pas de bœuf? J’ai du sortir ma loupe!

Maison shing do is one of the few restaurants still open for take out in the area during the pandemic. But they couple that with their sub par food that’s a little disappointing. Their chow fun is a little bland and quite soggy. If there’ are other options I recommend to take those

Highly recommended for delivery especially during Covid-19. The best value and probably top 3 Salt & Pepper Pork Chops I've had in Montreal.

I've never been at the restaurant itself but the value/flavour is one of the best at this time.

Toujours souriante, Madame la propriétaire, est très accueillante. Les plats sont gigantesques et savoureux. Il faut essayer le Mapo tofu!

Price is ok. Quality aint there. Fried Calamariis like eating bread. So nop! I wont buy there again. So cheap food. Quarantine experience.

Do NOT go there!

I was sent there once when i was a kid (around 11) by my mom to get a plate of general tao chicken to go. The cashier charged me 10$ and i was very surprised as to why it was a whole number so i asked: so there are no taxes?

The cashier was so mad at me for saying that and he explained that “he was doing me a favour” and that i should keep my mouth shut.

I later found out that that plate of general tao chicken cost around 8$ at the time and not only did the cashier overcharged me because i was a child, he also manipulated me into thinking he was doing me a favour.

Truly disgusting.

(and also the hygiene there is really an issue as well, I don’t even know if the plates are properly washed.)

J'ai commandé par ubber eats, ne jamais reçu ma commande, lorsque je les appelé ils m'ont dit que ne pouvaient rien faire et que c'est la faut a ubber.mais mon argent ils ont bien retenu.et s'ils engagent de tiers, il faut penser qui eux aussi ont de la responsabilité la dedans.je ne commanderais plus jamais avec eux!

TRÈS INSATISFAITE!

Beef in pepper sauce was very disappointing. Its one of my favorite chinese dish and i've had really good ones in other restaurants but not at Shing Do.
Vegetable fried rice was way too oily and too much soy sauce!
Chicken with hot pepper sauce with grilled spinach was hard and chewy. Chicken was probably too old!
