I drove by this place countless times and never went in. What a mistake. This has become one of my favorite spots. The restaurant is very nice, quiet and calm. The service is great but the food.amazing. Love their seafood as well as their hummus.

There's a section where you can choose your fish and have it cooked. Had great service, though a little slower than expected at times. We were served the uncooked keebe that we thought was only served cooked, but the waiter was kind enough to change it for us.
The place looks great.
They have a parking lot with a charging Spot for E. V.

When we arrived, we had to wait, with numerous others in line, for about 15 minutes, just for the maitre’d to arrive and seat us (there were many empty tables) ; that is not acceptable. Food was average or below, and quite overpriced. $32 for a plate with a few pieces of chicken, some veggies and rice is ridiculous. Another dish with cod was lacking flavour. Also surprising to see a basket with a plastic bag of pitas in a restaurant like this. Waiter or maitre’d never came over to ask how the food was. Not recommended.

Top quality sea food of different kinds. Try the grilled octopus salads, grilled fish, the grilled salmon and the cheese rolls, followed by Lebanese coffee « Rakwa ». Highly recommended!

This is a very original restaurant: it's a seafood restaurant one of the best. It also happens to be a Lebanese also one of the.
It is set into a large very comfortable dining room. One of the walls is made up of one of the best wine selection to be found in in Montreal.
The food is really excellent ranging from grilled jumbo shrimp unusually good octopus salad to some of the best Lebanese salads and definitely the best Kebbe Naye.
It was perfect for a business dinner as well as family lunch with my children.
Highly recommended. Prices are not cheap but considering the quality it is great value.

Terrible place to go buy fish. They insist that you take the biological under the pretext that the standard one is over 3 days old. Shady tactics and terrible prices.

I never thought that eating at the fish market could be so good. La Sirene de la Mer is an elegant place to eat fresh fish and seafood the middle eastern way. Fresh hummous and salads as well. Highly recommended. You will have your favorites copiously served a their freshest, and a great service from the staff. Not to miss!

Great for dinner for 2 or a group. A small event or a catered function. Some of the best, authentic Lebanese food this side of the Atlantic. Great quality/price ratio.

Bad food and bad service. Staff is extremely arrogant. Ok I want to try Lebanese food. I am Chinese. I have the money to pay for it so why so arrogant? You can’t ask question in this restaurant. Just go in, order, pay and leave. Guess how much I left for tip…

Not at all happy with this restaurant. We made a reservation 3 weeks ago. The restaurant never call us back or sent a confirmation email/text. We even tried to call this resturant several times even on the day of our reservation and they never bothered to pickup our phone or return our calls. We are very upset, dissatisfied and disappointed. I guess you don't care about your customers. Thanks for ruining our dinner.

Vastly overpriced. Nice decor. Service was poor. Not worth it. Went back after 4 years. Waitress was horrible. We asked her to describe the fish of the day at a seafood restaurant and she could not explain it! Food was good and lunch menu was pricey but not crazy. Atmosphere is very noisy with many large groups making it unpleasant for a couple.

Its incredible how such a famous restaurant is slowly going down the drain. We were 4 we ordered fish. It was just disgusting food. You can find much better food in any other cheap restaurant. It was absolutely terrible food. No plate présentation, no taste, I will never go back there again.

Horrible dinner food experience, sea bass fish and sardin they taste the same because they fried them in the same used oil, citric acid is in the incredian of tabbouleh, over charging prices on everything, I certainly won't recommend this place to anyone

Has an excellent experience with the haddock and cod. Haddock was better but cod was as expected. Great service from all.

One of the best fish / lebanese restaurants in town. Fresh ingredients, fresh fish amazing olive oil you have it all every time I pass by Montreal this is a must

This place was ok because although the food was fresh - half the fish in the menu wasn’t available (and after all it is a fish restaurant right?)
The other reason is we had a reservation and when we walked in there were no host to greet us (and 4 other couples behind me) their reason for it was they had a huge event earlier that required all their staff to accommodate hence the late greeting upon arrival.
When we finally sat down our table was ready but we were missing napkins. Sorry these are tte basics in my book. To get the place ready for dinner guests on time is key.
Nonetheless the salmon we ordered was delicious and fresh and the waiter tried his best to serve us but he looked overwhelmed to say the least seems like this place is either short staffed or too many employees not knowing where to be / what they should be doing.

Lets talk about location and decoration was so elegant, service was great and so friendly staff. Fish, shrimps & grilled calamary were sooo tasty, Iwill have to mention their humus and fatoush as well. We visit again, Thank you.

The WOREST SERVICE EVER. The food is pretty fresh, but the server is absolutely terrible. We asked water for three times, and they gave us the wrong dish and didn’t apologize AT ALL. We asked for the bill and waited for 30 minutes until they finally gave us the bill. They also lied saying we have to tip 15% mandatory, which is hilarious! Worst experience.

Déçu déçu…… a part le taboulé les viandes mixtes grillades réchauffés …. Et dures… je recommande pas ce restaurant

NI dans un des restaurants que l'on appelle Fonda au Mexique on sert d'aussi misérables plats aussi mal cuisinés qui ressemblent à ceux que l'on sert dans les réfectoires des pensionnats.je ne recommande en aucune manière ce restaurant qui n'en est pas un et qui a des prix qui ne sont pas en consonnance avec la terrible présentation des plats. Par contre les serveurs sont excellents ainsi que la réception mais les plats sont horribles.

Very slow, not polite at all, not even a “bon appetit”, it took at least 5 or 6 minutes before a waiter came at our table he didn’t even say “hi, how are you” or something
He didn’t ask us if we wanted a desert or a coffee.honestly one of the bad service I had in a restaurant! Still gave him 20% but they need to learn to their waiters how to give a good service!

Un endroit correct pour les fruits de mer qui goûtent frais. Cependant, je ne trouvais pas la cuisson des plats à point. Un exemple, le riz dans ma paella était vraiment trop cuit et l portion de riz disproportionné aux autres ingrédients.
Beaucoup de vin ordinaire aussi.

Very rude waiter! He offered free coffee and charged us 15$ on the bill and the coffee was disgusting. Plus he didn't like the tip we gave him and came back asking for more, although we didn't get a very good service on the table.

A stylish, classy lebanese restaurant, with a quality service and food. Portions are somewhat small but worth the penny. We enjoyed our meal!

Great fresh food, quick professional service, and the most insane and tasty crème brulée cheese cake as a desert! A bit pricey and the portions arent huge but not tiny either, if youre very hungry youll need an appetizer! Will definitely be going back to try more things off the menu! (Some dishes you get to go pick your fish in the store area…! Great for freshness, maybe makes you feel a bit guilty though…?)

Bad service! The waiter was very rude. We gave him a good tip and he came back demanding more which is not okay especially that they didnt even give us a good service on the table. If I could give 0 stars I would! This place was one of my favourite places to go to but not anymore!

Succulent! Tout est frais et délicieux! Lors de nos deux visites, nous avons pris le saumon et la pieuvre grillés, un vrai délice.

The service was excellent, the food was very good but a little bit pricey. We had the lamb chops and the shrimps which were very tasty but not very generous. The fried calamari was also well done. Fun family ambiance.

A very diverse and creative menu that includes well-seasoned tender fish, lightly battered crispy frog legs and delicious grilled octopus among other very generously portioned meals.

Excellent food! Went there for my birthday with my family. Had a feast.fattoush salad, hummus, oysters, salmon tartar, cod, filet mignon brochettes & coffee/dessert. Great service. A bit pricey but worth it. Highly recommended!

Situé dans un secteur de la rue Jean-Talon qui m'était totalement inconnu, ce restaurant est un incontournable de la fine cuisine libanaise à Montréal. J'aime y entrer par la poissonnerie attenante à l'entrée principale. Ma femme et moi y sommes sortis ce soir pour dîner et absolument tout était impeccable: de la réservation téléphonique au repas. Avions une table à la terrasse. Nous avons choisi la salade Fattouche, les crevettes et calmars grillés ainsi que la pieuvre à la façon La Sirène. Le serveur a pris soin de nous recommander les demi portions car les portions complètes eurent été trop volumineuses, et il avait raison. Une bonne bouteille de blanc et un étonnant dessert de fromage doux caramélisé et fondant à la pistache. Magnifique soirée!

An awesome place to have lunch or dinner frankly this is the best place to eat in a fancy restaurant that charges normal prices. From welcoming to good bye you get the attention you deserve and the quality /price for the food. This place is a gem!

What Moishe's does for cows, La Sirene does for fish. I eat cow, not fish. But unless it's my wife's oven baked salmon, the only place I will eat fish, any kind of fish, is at La Sirene. What can be harder to get right than fish? ! This is an upscale place yet somehow, after you're done, it feels like you just got up from a home cooked meal with the extended family on some special occasion. The other day I had a lentil soup to start. Delicious. These are professional restauranteurs.

Incredible food. Everything tasted so good, clean and fresh. The fish was super tasty and the chicken and meat were just as good. The appetizers and salads were also amazing. This has officially become one of my favourite restaurants in Montréal.

Absolutely delicious food! Everything tastes fresh and is high quality. The restaurant is quite spacious and clean. Clear dividers have been put in place between tables.
Overall it's a great restaurant and they adapted perfectly with the pandemic situation.
I personally recommend it.

Mauvaise experience au comptoir avec les poissoniers. Me semblait-il fatigué! Aucune idée, mais j'ai remarqué que les poissoniers me parassaient plus à l'aise avec un certain type de
clientèle plus ou moins nantie"well to do" ou s'exprimant en arabe. Le service a éte désastreux et les poissoniers très arrogant envers ma femme et moi.

Le service était médiocre.

1. Le serveur a refusé de nous recevoir parce qu'on avait pas de réservation. Or, le 3/4 des tables du restaurant était libre. Finalement, un serveur d'un certain âge nous a dit: "Je vais vous mettre au fond". Pourquoi au fond? !

2. On avait pas fini de manger et ils voulaient déjà ramasser nos assiettes.

3. Puis, aussitôt l'addition arrivée, on paie et le serveur dépose la facture sur la table. Aucun "Avez-vous bien mangé? " Ou "Merci"

Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant, mais libre à vous de l'essayer pour vous faire une propre opinion.

Excellent repas! Des mashawi à la kebbe nayé, aux pieuvres en salade ou grillées tout était vraiment excellent! Même les frites étaient parfaites. Merci:)

Je suis client régulier de la Sirène de la mer. Leur salade de pieuvre et leur tartare de saumon sont mes plats habituels, je recommande à tous.

J'ai passé commande lundi soir pour un poisson vidé et nettoyé. Je suis passé chercher ma commande ce soir et rien n'était prêt. Un vendeur m'a accusé d'avoir inventé ma commande. Service déplorable. Il y avait plusieurs poissons de cette espèce disponible, il suffisait d'en préparer un au lieu de chercher un coupable de l'erreur de prise de commande!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing selection of fresh seafood and ingredients/tools one might need for cooking/serving. Best octopus salad I have had, so soft and tasty. La Sirene might easily be the best fish store in Montreal, I’m always pleased with them.

Service plus qu'excellent! J'ai mangé la paela et c'était succulent! Je le recommande à tous, pour un souper en famille ou en amoureux! La qualités des aliments est merveilleuse!
