Very bad the food in special the chilaquiles not sauces very dry. I do not recommend this place.

C’est très bon et mignon comme endroit, mais très cher. Tu t’en sors pas en bas de 25$ (tip inclus) pour 3 petits tacos.

Personnel irrespectueux, endroit non accueillant et manque de savoir vivre délibéré envers la clientèle.

The fried shrimp tacos are to die for. La panure est légère et "on point" tout en laissant la place aux crevettes. Perfect crunchyness. With those fresh and tasty shreded pickled veggies on top. Just wow! And their homemade hot sauce. Also to die for. So flavorful! (Must be fermented habanero or something). The place is beautiful and the service is great. I don't often write review but this had to be written, I somehow became addicted to their tacos after the first try! Need my weekly dose now. Everytime I try an other place, I'm mad at myself: It's never close to be as good as Tamalera tacos. Just go.

Good authentic mexican food & friendly service. The price tag is a bit high for a restaurant you have to order at the counter.

I ordered takeout for the first time from La Tamalera and not only this place is super cute and clean but the service was fast and friendly! And the food is to die for! Everything was very tasty and fresh! Its now definitely my go to restaurant for some authentic mexican food! (For reference and I got the esquites, chilaquiles with chorizo, some tamales, two churros and a liter of horchata)

Extremely tasty food for the spicy foodies out there!? I've been dreaming of a good Mexican tamales (which are the best tamales, trust me) since I came back to Canada. It doesn't deceive, same goes for the tacos, solid food in such a typical Mexican atmosphere + 80's music. ️

Nice tacos and orchata. Restaurant is simple and pleasant to dine-in, with decoration evocative of Mexico.

Best mexican restaurant in Montreal! I suggest the Baja tacos or the milanesa sandwich, but anything else is also a good choice. Can’t go wrong here

This place is probably my favourite Mexican restaurant in Montreal. The food was sublime and well presented for takeout in solid, compostable packaging. The service was really quick and their whole system is really easy to understand. The employee who was working there also put out a bench, which was appreciated. All in all, this place is outstanding and perfect for a lunch break meal.

Having just finished 6 Fairmount bagels, we were not intending to eat more food. But we walked by La Tamalera and the smells coming out of the kitchen were too good to pass up. No regrets finishing off my bagel appetizer with some baja tacos from this place. SO YUM!

This place is a hidden gem. Hands down the best shrimp taco I have ever eaten in life. Everything else I've tried is also very tasty. I make the trip all the way from the South Shore just to grab tacos from here.

It is super great place for tacos, their shrimp tacos are excellent. However it is a bit pricey 45$ for 3 order of tacos and 2 churros, we are still hungry. Super nice staff I recommande this place if you are in the neighbourhood.

Nous avons commandé des tacos et autre et nous avons été particulièrement déçus de la nourriture.

Tout était détrempé, le maïs était mou et les grains d’une couleur douteuse.

Pourtant la livraison a été très rapide, donc nous me mettons aucunement la blâme sur celle-ci.

Mon copain a été très malade le soir même. Nous soupçonnons une intoxication alimentaire.

Nous ne recommandons pas ce restaurant.

One of my preferred spots to grab something to eat.very good location, well kept, and very good customer service. A must try!

The tacos here were amazing! Really enjoyed the corn tortilla. We had the carnitas and al pastor, both were very tasty.

Cute & warm Mexican restaurant.
I went to get some tamales and I was surprised to find these wrapped in Saran Wrap when they are already wrap in banana and/or corn leaves.
I’ll definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

Really great menu with authentic flavors. I called last minute for a 9 person group and they had space for us when we arrived. I recommend ordering a mix of everything. Our whole table left happy.

OMG! Baja taco is a must! It was amazingly delicious. And the guacamole was superb ️️️
Definitely will go back, definitely would suggest it.
And the staff were very nice, helpful, knowledgeable about the food and very patient with all our questions.
