This was my first time in Quebec City and this was my last stop. Best decision EVER! Best breakfast ever and its served all day! The staff was lovely and super sweet. 10/10
Buffet d’Antiquaire was recommended to us as a more affordable lunch option in Old Quebec. Clearly word is out as they are always busy. We shared an order of unremarkable fish & chips but enjoyed the accompanying salad and fries. Great location for people watching.
Ate burger (was ok but not great) and club sandwich. The turkey in the sandwich was extremely cold, the waitress said it had to be that way. Fries weren't good, also when we got hot fries, they looked and tasted old. In conclusion, nothing else can be expected for the little money - next time it's better to budget more and eat somewhere else.
I had breakfast here recently. The service was fast and friendly. In terms of food, I tried their Les Crepes De L’Antiquaire Avec 1 Choix De Viande (Crepe with one meat - I chose Ham). The meal also came with a drink of choice and I chose orange juice. Everything tasted quite nice - Nice crepes with maple syrup, good slice of ham, fresh vegetables, and decent potatoes.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff, but the best part is the food. So tasty, meat pie was a must try, homemade Jam is a must, large servings. The chômeurs was to die for, so friggin good, a must try for sure!
This small restaurant was so good that my wife and i came here two days in a row for breakfast. This is one of the few spots that open early so we were able to get early breakfast at around 7 am. The street in the front seems to be going through construction so it might get loud during the day. There seems to be plenty of space around 7 am but it is a pretty small spot and i think it would get crowded post 8 am weekends. Got a bit of diner vibe with open kitchen that you can loom at. Friendly service and the food is great. We enjoyed the egg benedict and crepe breakfast which are the main dishes. Omellet was good but club sandwich chicken was bit dry for my taste. I would strongly recommend it for early breakfast spot for anyone visiting old quebec.
Had heard a lot about this place and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. This place serves an all day breakfast menu and is open until 5pm. Tried the brunch special and the chicken hot dog sandwich. Both tasted fantastic and the portions were well sized too. Don't forget to try their home made strawberry jam
This is one of the best restaurants on the top of my list. No matter how many times I visit Quebec, this is my go-to restaurant for every visit. One of my favourite dishes is no longer available, however, everything on the menu is just as great. I will save my words so you can come explore what they offer.
Excellent Sunday brunch and dining outside really added to the experience as the weather was nice. There was a small line up around noon but the line moved fairly quick and service was efficient. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced and provided a good sampling of local cuisine.
Okay, breakfast here is the real deal. The quality of the ingredients is incredible, everything tastes fresh. Portions are huge and you get unlimited coffee (a very good one!) to your breakfast. I don’t think there is a better place for breakfast in Quebec City than this one. Also, waiters are very polite.
Very good experience. They let us in without reservation.very good food quality, pleasant waitress and good price.just remember to try and book it before going there.
We had our first breakfast in Quebec City at this restaurant and it definitely got our trip off to the right start! The food is so fresh and delicious. They were pretty busy so it took a little while to get our order and bring our food, but the wait was more than worth it. I would love to come back at my next visit. The homemade jam and maple spread were so tasty and the home fries were seasoned perfectly. Oh, how could I forget? We got a side order of French toast and it's the best I've ever had (and I've ordered it at many places). Definitely come here if you want the best quality and freshness in your breakfast. So good!
It's a must try when you come to Quebec. There was a line up when we came in the weekend but it moved quickly. I tried the Le Gourmet with meat pie on the side. My husband had the club sandwiches. The food was delicious with great portion.
Amazing place! Had the assitte brunch, loved it! The meat pie was amazing, the sausage was flavourful and to top it.great service! Definitely will recommend this place! PS: the beans were good! Not that sweet like you have it other places.
Not sure if you can any better place to have your brunch/breakfast. The quality of ingredients is great, and they are definitely fresh. They really know their jobs and as I heard their frequent customers, their menu hasn't changed during last 10 years. So, they really know what they do and they are great at that. They offer a complete list of options with free coffee served with it.
Food are excellent, staff are so attentive and accommodating. They serve your brunch with homemade potato instead of frozen ones. This is the exact thing that I love. Also, your coffee mug keeps refilling time by time by the waiter. I really recommend it for brunches and breakfasts.
Really great “ma and pa” feel in terms of the food. Super fresh and homemade. The breakfast was awesome. My only complaint would be that the food was not all that hot. Amazing service. Very reasonable prices.
Loved it. All the food was prepared to perfection! I went there twice - with a friend - and had dinner and breakfast. Such friendly staff with great service. I would go back again - next time I am in Que City. Only complaint was the coffee was a little weak - but other than that - all was great! Recommended.
The place is very good authentic and welcoming. Food was amazing and perfect in taste. Server was very energetic and enthusiastic. They have this amazing strawberry and caramel homemade jam. These 2 jams r must try items. Eating at this place made our day. Must visit place in quebec downtown for food.
Amazing food and kind and helpful staff. Crepes are amazing, eggs Benedict and meat pies. Best breakfast I've had in a while. I'd come back here everyday If a could
Over-rated as far lunch or dinner are concerned. This restaurants' most glowing reviews are about breakfast, our mistake that we ended up here for dinner. We ordered a hamburger, cheese burger/sandwich and a smoked meat club sandwich.
My son liked his burger. My club sandwich was just okay, nothing to write home about. But my daughter's chicken was something she didn't understand. It was a piece of grilled chicken in between two bread slices (non- toasted), with meat gravy poured all over. She didn't know whether to pick it up and eat it like a sandwich or use a knife and fork to eat it.
All in all it was a poor experience. We didn't try there breakfast, but I'd suggest anybody wanting to try this place to opt for breakfast.
This place had amazing breakfast/brunch. Decently priced and tasty! Staff are friendly and service was great. Very cute spot with great food, could not recommend more!
Very yummy breakfast, fresh and homey, prices are soooo inexpensive.in the heart of old city Quebec, walking around after meal is real pleasure. I definitely recommend this to be your destination.
