Great customer service. When one of my friend dropped something in her water, the waiter immediately noticed it and got her another glass. She was also very patient with us when we were trying to decide what to get. The food was also very good. I would come back again for the dry hot pot dishes.

Bravo! Très bien!? Very authentic and delicious might be the best Sichuan ️ food I have in Canada it’s sooooooo good! Like we finished everything only a bit of oil left in the plate? U must try it! Heavenly taste

While we eating there’s one hair in the food. Even though we got another food but still feel grossed

So I ordered the fish spicy soup, the presentation bowl looks big, but in fact, there are barely few fishes inside the bowl, it’s tasteless I have to ask for extra soya sauce and vinegar sauce, at the end the bill costs 32.86$, I was eating alone, and I don’t eat much usually, so I don’t understand how they got 4.7 stars as reviews, cause I was scammed by the review score. The 2 stars is for the spicy taste.

Best Sichuan place in Montreal in terms of authenticity. Place looks a bit ratchet because it is like a basement and weirdly placed but gives the impression that it is owned by a small family just trying to make it in Montreal. Loved the mapo tofu, the spicy fish soup, and the sautéed lotus roots!

*Don't recommend delivery/takeout because it is not as fresh and seemed borderline disappointing

Met up with a friend in town to check out L’Appétissant Sichuan. Family run with the cutest daughter helping out.

We tried their frog legs in hot pot ($21.99), fish soup with pickled cabbage ($19.99) and eggplant with garlic sauce ($13.99). The frog legs was my favourite but the other dishes were well balanced and flavourful.

No frills, Szechuan gem. Give them a try.

Tried the sichuan boiled fish.
It was really good.
A bit too spicy (and thats my fault for underestimating the levels of spiciness lol)
Service was pretty good.
10/10 for me.

One of the best Sichuan food I’ve had in Montréal, I’m from there and know this is a legit place. Everything looks good on the menu will be back to try other items. I had the spicy beef jerky in hot oil, the ma la tang where you choose the ingredients for the soup and I’ve never had fried nian gao in Montréal it’s really authentic. There also very generous on the watermelon juice, handy since everything is so spicy

Everything I've had there has been really good, with some standing out from others. Best Malatang I've had in the city so far! Clean broth, perfect amount of numbing from the peppercorns, but I'd recommend getting mild if you're new to the Sichuan spices! Also, if you're into it, the pig ears are amazing here! Great flavor! It's definitely a well kept secret, very unassuming location.
