Food is good but far from the best I've tried. Portions were reasonable but imho a bit overpriced. $130 for two plates and two beers. Would recommend for a slightly lower price.

Best barbeque in Quebec! The most delicious pork and beef ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken. The meats are absolute show-stoppers and mouth-watering! You'll even be delighted by the sides - amazing Mac n cheese, beans and coleslaw. Fantastic and quick service too We absolutely love coming here! Hats off to the Chef!

The Brisket and pulled pork was worth the drive into the city. The meats was tender, flavourful and good portions. The Mac and cheese was okay, the coleslaw was good just needed a bit more. The Beef Ribs was insanely large and delicious.

Best restaurant for BBQ in Montreal! The staff was amazing, especially Aly! John the pit master was amazing, we will definitely be back, I strongly recommend!

Food had almost no flavour everything tasted the same, from the brisket to the ribs. We had to ask for bbq sauce and napkins and it took awhile till we got it.

J'avais beaucoup d'attentes et j'ai été tout autant déçu. Des viandes trop cuites, car probablement gardées au chaud après cuisson, trop salées et sans goût.

Le brisket avait une couleur brune, sans aucune différence de coloration sur la largeur, et ne fondait aucunement en bouche.

La côte de boeuf avait l'apparence d'un confit, mais goûtait la paille et présentait une croûte de cuisson aussi épaisse que dure.

Les sides remontent un peu la note, mais trop peu de choix et trop peu de finesse.

Niveau boisson, on s'attendait à un bon choix de vins rouges avec de la belle rondeur pour accompagner les viandes, mais on a vite déchanté.

We ordered the brisket and beef rib. Brisket was dry and hard.

Beef rib smelled sour and the waitress saw me smelling it as it was very pungent.she asked if everything was ok but w it being a “world renowned restaurant” “awards” I didn’t want to say anything if it was a smell from grass fed beef as it does cook different.

I’ve had a lot of beef ribs and brisket and this beef rib was by far the worst I’ve ever tasted, aside from the smell that nearly threw my stomach the taste was sour and was only flame cooked w salt and pepper so no reason to be tasting like that as there was no sauce.

I couldn’t eat it. We took it home to give to the dog and the after smell of it sitting in the fridge for 6 hours was enough to knock your socks off and we had to air out the room. Very sulfur kind of smell. I am very confident this was spoiled meat for $100.

I didn’t bother with the sides but they didn’t look appealing anyways. I was very excited and we planned our whole day around visiting this restaurant.

Has to be the best barbecue in Montreal. Everything was cooked to perfection. Owner is so welcoming and kind. Definitely will be coming back.

We recently dined at this barbecue restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! We got the 4 person platter which came with 3 sides per person and it was more than enough for 5 people and we took some of it home. The meat was perfectly tender and juicy, bursting with smoky flavors. The service was impeccable, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall experience. A must-visit for barbecue enthusiasts!

I had high hopes for this place after reading about it on the “Best BBQs” in the northeast list. As another reviewer noted, it did not live up to that reputation. Small portions of cold food and overpriced. $70.00 for two orders of two meats with sides and two soft drinks. Cannot get the full or correct taste when the food isn’t hot—I don’t think BBQ is supposed to be served cold. And as an aside, no corn bread. Really? BBQ restaurant without corn bread!

Literally, the baked beans side contained like a tablespoon of beans and cold like the rest of it. The chicken, not pictured, also cold, was like a one bite appetizer. Didn’t bother sending back—for what—microwaved and dried out? Server was very nice. We visit Montreal often, but won’t be returning here.

Super super delicious brisket I've ever tasted. It's a must try. The staff was amazing, and the service was excellent. We wanted to thank the chef, and although it was a pretty busy night, John, the chef and owner, came to chat with us. Thank you, John, you're really made our night remarkable.
That's our place to go whenever we're in Montréal.

Went in at 5 exact the staff were two ladies very unprofessional and very rude

I booked a trip to Montreal to propose to my girlfriend and we had come all the way from Hamilton to Montreal. We had booked a reservation at Lattuca BBQ and our original reservation date fell through. John the owner did the unexpected and was nice enough to provide us with a complimentary dinner for two if we could stop by another day. This added to an amazing day (which I had proposed to her) and he even took the time to stop by our table to chat and introduce himself. The food was amazing (you need to have the beef ribs and mac n cheese) and we will definitely be stopping by again the next time we’re in town.

Mtl is full of good restaurants but this is truly a gem. We tried all of their meat options and every choice was fall-off-the-bone, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and good portion for BBQ. The best items were the beef rib, pork ribs, pulled pork and the smoked beans. The BBQ flavours were incredible and nothing was drowned in sauce. This is a very high quality experience not to be missed and we will 100% be back!

We came here for our annual guys night out and it did not disappoint. The brisket and beef ribs were delicious. We throughly enjoyed our meal and the service was great.

I was really looking forward to eating here but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The service was very poor. For the first time dining here our server didn’t take the time to explain the menu to us. She felt very rushed. Maybe they were shorted staffed for the night? The food was good but when we requested extra bbq sauce it took along time for someone to bring it to us. My cocktail was overly sweet with to much juice. The only positive was the brisket and beef rib which were very delicious.

The food was so good, the only thing that I didn’t like was the noise I don’t know if I was me but I really recommend this place

No fuss laid back place that focuses on the food, BBQ meats. I like BBQ meats and go here as much as possible when I want BBQ meats, it's awesome. If you like BBQ meats, you should go here. Also good selection of drinks and sides. Recommend.

C est vraiment un super resto si vous aimez la viande, les serveuses sont super sympathique et le proprio John est vraiment cool.nous sommes venus de sherbrooke pour aller manger la et ca valait vraiment le detour! Je le recommande fortement a tout le monde Mrs. John titulaire de plusieur prixdont pit master et champion du monde de la brisket ce qui est peu dire.ce gars est vraiment un artiste de la viande!

Superb beef brisket, smoked beans, slaw. BarbBQologist smokes off-site and brings a limited supply for your enjoyment. So, get here early and enjoy. I've never had brisket so tender, moist and flavorful!

I enjoyed the food and the service, my one piece of advice to the owner, is for the owner to consider creating a larger plat (at a higher price) with significantly more meat (s). Their portions are reasonable and fairly priced given location etc, but, sometimes, especially when the food is tasty (as it was) better too much then too little.

The attraction for the restaurant is Texan BBQ. Indeed it featured the pork rib, pulled pork and Texan Brisket with the addition of beef rib and chicken as the protein selection. It is disappointed that the famous BBQ Texan style European sausage was not featured. Out of the so many famous side dishes, it offered the Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese and a baked beans. For those who is thinking about other famous side dish like corn on the cob, marsh potatoes, onion rings and many others, it could be an disappointment too. Inside the restaurant, a banner of championship Texan BBQ was hanging on the wall, marked 2012 presented by Jack Daniel number 7, the famous whiskey used in its baked beans. Do not forget to try it out.

Delicious fall off the bone chicken, beef/porc ribs and wonderful brisket. I would definitely recommend Lattuca for any group of any size.you will not leave feeling hungry. The staff is so kind and accommodating. I thank them once again for their wonderful food.

Downside: had a 3 meat plate and the chicken/ brisket portion were ridiculously small. I asked for extra brisket and the waitress gave us extra portion “on the house”. It did end up on the bill anyways tho.

Beside that service was good. If you want to try the brisket you’re better off getting just that.

The aroma of oak loomed, like a signal, and we followed it. A restaurant that specializes in Texas barbecue. To tell the truth, I still love American and Argentine style for eating beef.

I'm from the United States (Utah), and I've eaten BBQ from all over the world: Texas, Alabama, Korea, Japan, etc. John (the pit boss/owner) absolutely KILLS it! This is literally the best brisket I've had from anywhere on the globe. The pulled pork is tender and chews smooth, and has a unique flavor than the other meats. Each cut has its own pallet different from the others which is a feat all on its own. To top it all off John's hospitality and catering is too notch, he really bends over backwards to make a great experience for our office event for 40+ people. THANK YOU for legit stunning bbq (the best I've had in Canada).

Came to Montreal for the first time, and stumbled across Latucca’s while walking around the Old Port. We were drawn in just by the smell! I had the Brisket with Mac and Cheese and Coleslaw with a Blood Orange sour beer. The brisket melts in your mouth, the Mac and cheese was creamy and the coleslaw provided the perfect acidity to break up the creaminess and the richness of the other two items! All in all, this was the best BBQ I’ve ever tried and I will definitely be going back! Thank you chef Latucca for the amazing meal.

American tourist from Boston who’s first time visiting Montreal I stumbled across the city’s most incredible barbecue (maybe even Canada’s best). Firstly, I have eaten far more barbecue than the average person. Having spent 3 months in Memphis (eating barbecue at least 3 times a week) and making countless pilgrimages to Texas, St Louis, Kansas City and the Carolinas, I have consumed some of the greatest barbecue the United States has to offer. Lattuca Barbecue is right up there with the best barbecue America. In fact, I would go as far as saying the barbecue here easily falls into the top 5 I have ever eaten.

This small batch Texas-style barbecue was moist, flavorful, and tender fall-off-the-bone. Everything you look for in barbecue. The marinade and sauce used are to absolutely die for. I ordered the beef rib, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. It came with 3 sides: smoked bbq beans, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. Not only were the meats right on par with American barbecue but my wife and I agree the beans and coleslaw were better than anything we have eaten in America. And our son housed all 4 sides of Mac and cheese we ordered.

FYI: This isn’t some commercial or chain establishment. You are getting quality meats cooked with tender loving care using only the most quality ingredients the owner can find. Each meat is treated with care and hand cut by John for all to see. The menu changes nightly and isn’t available online. When I called the owner and pitmaster answered. John could not have been more friendly and pleasant. He truly cares about his craft but more importantly the people he meets along the way. I even called later that evening to compliment the food and service. Although he couldn’t come to the phone because the placed was jam packed, he took the time to follow up the next day through text message just to thank me.

Reservations are easy to make online. My only recommendations are to make sure you reserve a table and do not miss your opportunity to eat some the best barbecue North America has to offer.

We ordered the beef rib - which they charge $3 extra for - with mac and coleslaw and brisket with beans and coleslaw.

We arrived at the restaurant with them filled at 1/4th capacity, seated outside on a Friday night

- It took a hour for the food to arrive
- 2 parties that arrived well after us received their order before us
- The waittress responded with a stammering “uh, sorry”
- Everything was bland. The brisket/beef rib was an oily lump of flesh with 0 flavor. At least use some salt.
- The mac and cheese was grainy and luke warm, beans were hard and coleslaw was dressed in what might as well been water.

There is no menu. Waittress came by twice.

Avoid this place.

Made a reservation and showed up 2 mins early. Waited 10 mins to get seated and then had no one come to give us a water or even a menu for 15 mins, so we left. Really disappointed.

Best barbecue in the area. The owner and stuff is so wonderful. Try the pork ribs, they just melt in your mouth. The pork brisket is the best in the town and overall in North America.

This was a surprise from my wife and i had no expectations, but it turned out to be really delicious and good local beer for an average of 30-40$ the only thing i didnt like was the bathroom, the faucet was completely loose and the door is glass but censured.

Brisket, chicken and ribs are very good but service is unfortunately poor and ruined the experience. I had so much hope because I am a Texan BBQ fan but they made us feel like we were disturbing them and showed us we were not very welcomed. Bring a towel to clean your table. Had to go and clean my forearms before ordering. Wrong order to top it all. Yes, the brisket is fantastic.

Sans aucune méchanceté. Bon service, demoiselle très gentille, c'est elle qui est le menu p-q pas de menu, ni papier, ni web. Le problème c'est qu'ell ne vient pas avec les prix. J'ai pris une assiette Cote de boeuf, pulled pork et brisket, le tout était tendre rien à dire, mais aucun gout, pas de fumée, pas épices (ils fument au poivre et sel d'après moi) pas de sauce, pas meme sur les tables. Et la Cote était de bonne portion, mais j'ai eu droit à UNE tranche de brisket et UNE cuillèrée de Pulled pork.pour la somme de 34,00. Un peu d'arrogance dans l'air. Désolé, mais non, c'est pas ca.

I only ever eat until I’m content and rarely ever full. Here, I kept eating until beyond full because it was that good. The meat portions are plentiful and amazingly delicious. Good beer selection and very tasty sides. Very friendly service and great tunes. A good time all around.

Came here for a bachelor party. The service was great. Server has a great sense of humor and was quick and accurate getting our drinks out. Food was out of this world. Beef rib fell off the bone. Pork ribs were the best I've ever had. The owner, Jean, was amazing. He came out and talked about his time in Texas and how he came about barbecuing. We told him about the bachelor party and he and all the staff came out for a shot of bourbon with us. Super nice person and great restaurant. Would come back every time

Stopped by Latucca as we saw they had won a world class award for their meat. Upon getting seated, we were told there was no menu which was fine since we could pull it up on our phone. Once we ordered our drinks, it took 35 minutes for the waitress could not be found even though their was only 1 other table, after waiting a ridiculous amount of time for water and some cokes we decided that this was not the right place for us. When our waitress finally returned with our drinks we wanted to take our business elsewhere and when we expressed to our waiter that we just wanted our bill she stated that “This is not a bar so you must order food”. We found that odd as we were already paying to be at this establishment. It is safe to say that we will not be returning based on the customer service of this restaurant.

As a South African my dream was to experience Texan Brisket.
Never have I ever thaught that I will experience it here in Montreal.
The first Brisket I tasted earlier today at a differenf restaurant was like normal cold meat.

The brisket and ribs at Latucca, was the best meat I have ever tasted!
South Africans knows meat, but this is a bucket list experience!
Tender, juicy and amazingly tasty, together with the smoked beans and cabbage salad.

This is a bucket list visit you MUST experience if you enjoy meat!
