Elyse is the best counsellor I’ve ever had. No one compares to her, give this girl a raise. She deserves better than your minimum wage. I’m giving this camp a five star rating in hope this gets through to you. Thank you very much.

Great work environment with a really friendly staff! Would highly recommend! I really appreciate how understanding and professional the new managment is.

Sent my son for 4 weeks in 2021. He was bored the entire time. They did play outdoor games, but none of the activites listed on the website were actually offered. Not the magic, computer programming, etc. The food was miserable, just bulk hotdog/hamburgers from Costco. My son didn't even have any little art projects to bring home. Also the camp didn't send me a RL24, so as far as I can tell, it's a scam

As a former counsellor at Laurus, I would highly encourage you all to send your kids for an unforgettable summer or sign up to join as a counsellor! After my first summer of many working there, many amazing memories and relationships were made. The admin is always trying to uplift spirits and improve the environment amongst the staff with many staff bondings as well as making it a point for the kids to constantly be entertained in the most creative/goofy ways! Join the Laurus family you won’t regret it!

Starting sending my daughter to Laurus in Laval in 2020. She loved it and went in 2021 with her sister. This year 3 of my kids will be going. I love the diverse activities, well trained and educated staff and organized drop off and pick up! I highly recommend Laurus summer camp!

Montreal Camp is not effective, unnecessarily overrated reviews for this place.

I just fell for reviews and website with old pictures and videos, took last 2021 summer camp for 8 weeks for 2100 $, later realized the camp is over priced often kid says the activity mentioned as STA is less than an hour. Remaining day they spend Play each other among other kids. There is no guest lecture or appearances each week. Only one time through overall camping.

Friday special shows are only for namesake. My kid didn't enjoy, this place just same like making our kids play at public park with others but still you pay.

Your kid will end up in big age kids and kids getting bullying will not be taken seriously. Tired of reporting to the bunch of people in the camp.

My son went for the first time this summer (Beaconsfield location). He participated in basketball, science and robotics. I was impressed with how smoothly run it was with the COVID protocols, heat waves and even a power outage. Will be returning.

My 5 year old son came back happy and tired in the afternoon. Could not stop telling us what he did at science group. Really thankful for the staff who took good care of him during this past week. Sure we would go back to this camp next summer!

I sent my sons, ages 8 and 6, to Laurus for the first time. This was one of the few camps who decided to stay open for the summer and I reserved 4 weeks for each child.

I have so many positive things to say about how this camp handled all the obstacles thrown at them. They had a last minute venue change and lack of access to indoor bathrooms and water hoses (the first week only) but they found solutions to every challenge.

When I wanted to make some changes to my kids' specialty activities, it was never a problem and accommodated really quickly. They were well organized and communicated with the counselors efficiently.

My kids came home happy and tired everyday. The counselors introduced them to new cooperative games that were educational and silly and fun. My boys enjoyed taking part in science and they even participated in yoga! The counselors all had awesome nicknames and infused the day with lots of silliness and entertainment. Of course there was tons of sanitizer and safety protocols too.

The downtown Laurus camp provided my kids with a fun summer just as close to normal as they could muster. I will definitely be participating in early registration for next summer. Kudos to all the young people who worked so hard this summer.

We sent our 7 year old for two weeks to Laurus downtown campus this summer. With the pandemic, this was the first activity and time spent away from home. I was impressed by the COVID-19 protocols put in place and the protocols were followed closely by staff. It felt reassuring to know we were leaving our child somewhere safe, and fun! Our daughter came home the first day asking if camp continued on the weekends) she loved the activities, the themes, made new friends and really connected with counsellors Evie, Rainbow and Peaches. Thank you for the positive experience!

We sent our son to the downtown camp and he had an amazing time! The staff was very professional and they really handled the covid situation well! The director, Bailey, was really amazing. Communication was great, responded on time and everything was very clear. They made an abnormal summer into a fun summer and we are so thankful that we had this opportunity. He LOVED science and all the counselors (im still hearing about Mango, Zed, Pancake, Robin, and many more.) Would recommend the camp to anyone and looking forward to the coming years!

Day 1 at this camp and my youngest couldn't even let me finish asking question before excitedly saying "I loved it". We're on the 2nd week and my girls still love it! Given the pandemic, we're thankful that they were able to bring some joy to our girls' lives!

Merci

My son was very hesitant to join a summer camp back in spring.

Laurus Laval really helped my son become more social and he loved it there, he loved the councillors and activities that took place. Very pleased with everything that transpired over this summer.

My kids love this summer camp.
Nice staff, well organized, friendly atmosphere, interesting lesson content,
two thumbs up!

Very unprofessional staff. I went for interviews with them for the position of camp counselor. The first interview literally lasted 4 minutes and it seemed very unorganized. The group interview was a waste of my time also. The camp manager herself is only like 20 years old and it seems like the team doesnt know how to properly interview or manage a group.

My son just loves it, he's ready to spend his summer there instead of playing videogames well, do I need to say more? We are very satisfied

Our girls have been part of the Laurus family for the past five summers. Every June, they walk through those doors and feel at home. I can’t wait to pick them up and hear the hilarious stories of kids just being kids and the camp allowing them to truly be themselves. The administration and counselors are amazing.always accommodating, friendly, warm and fun!
Looking forward to seeing you all in 2019!

My 2 boys (ages 8 and 12) had a great time at the Laurus Summer Camp! The staff was so kind, helpful and amazing. The boys enjoyed the activities and everyone made them feel included. The boys are looking forward to attending next year! Great camp

This past summer was the first year for my 2 sons at Laurus Summer Camp. Both my sons had a wonderful experience. My 15 year old especially loved the Leadership Program and the weekly guest speakers. My 8 year old especially loved the speciality classes such as cooking and science.
The whole staff is very friendly, professional, and amazing. Truely a lovely environment. Nick and Courtney provided a secure environment greeting us every morning and at the end of the day. Ava the director always took the time to address my questions over my 8 year old whom has a peanut allergy. Laurus summer camp is an excellent camp and the best camp my boys have ever gone to!

My children have been attending Laurus for the past 4 summers and have had wonderful experiences there. The staff are attentive, warm and know how to engage the kids and make sure they have a great time. The number one rule of Laurus Summer Camp is after all to have fun and the team at Laurus really knows how to make this happen! Thanks to the whole team for giving our kids such great experiences and memories to treasure!

Very positive experience for my three children! They are different ages with different personalities and Laurus had something to keep each one happy and engaged all day. The staff is really responsive, warm and energetic. The best!

My son has been at Laurus Summer Camp for the past few summers and every summer is better than the last. Alexei is part of a community at Laurus and that has been so powerful at inspiring and motivating him. We LOVE Laurus Summer Camp!

My son has attended summer and winter camp for 3 years. I tried other programs, more expensive and in newer facilities. Nothing can match the spirit of Laurus. It is welcoming and fun and we love it. Highly recommended

2018 is our 4th year and both my kids LOVE Laurus camp. The STA's are just fun and diverse for any interest any child may have. The "in charge" team are just the best.

Looking forward to 2019 summer at Laurus.

Laurus summer day camp was a great time for our daughter. The professionalism from the camp organizers to staff was great. They made my wife and I feel very comfortable signing up our daughter. It was our daughters first time at a day camp and she had a blast all summer. We originally only signed her up for a few weeks and then we kept adding on weeks for her as she loved it and ended up there all summer. Thank you again Laurus camp and see you next summer!

My children (3 and 5 years of age) have been attending Laurus summer camp in Montreal for the past 2 summers now. They absolutely loved it there. The staff is friendly and very responsive to parents concerns', the environment is wonderful and the organized activities get the children really out of their bubble. I would definitely recommend Laurus summer camp to all parents!

Laurus camp is very flexible with the schedule. They offer so many different activities and we were able to change them even last minute.
However, I think this place is very dirty. Even my 6 year old daughter once told me that the place that they are having their snacks are very dirty. It is very unusual for a 6 year old to think any place is dirty since they don’t even realize it normally. Even one day, she came home and her backbag was soaked in water and when I asked what happened, she told me they put their bags next to the toilets and water came out of the toilet and the bag got wet. Last but not least, last week she got lice from the camp. I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS CAMP and I suggest you the same!

Unfortunately, our experience with the Laurus camp in Laval was not as fabulous as some previous reviewers had. In fact, it was the worst experience. My kids kept saying all the time they were bored at this camp. The campers stayed in the small school gym without an air conditioner all week long. They went outside only once- on the school yard. There are no any educational outings or anything. My kids said there were some activities and games but a lot of times kids were supposed to play by themselves. Once my daughter said to her councelor she is bored and he/she gave him a ball and said to go and play by herself. The animators are never introduced to parents, so you never know who is supposed to take care of your child. I never saw any of the animators to play or even talk to children. What I saw while dropping off and picking up is the group of animators talking with each other, and another large group of kids not involved in anything. The animator of my daughter did not know her name (even if it's not a difficult one) until I said I am cancelling the following week of their service. They changed my son's group (who is only 6) on Thursday without letting us know and not even asking if we want to. My son was very upset because he already met some friends and also because with his first group they were preparing something like a treasure hunt on Wednesday. On Thursday, they changed his group and did not let him take a candy from the tresure hunt that he was preparing with others the day before saying that his is not in that group anymore. My son was so upset that started crying in silence. I asked him if any of the animators conforted him and he answered that they even did not notice him crying. Another thing I did not like is that unfortunately the councellors did not even try to help a child to be a part of the group. In my daughters group all the kids knew each other because they were from the same school. My daughter did not know anyone and is shy by nature, besides her English is basic; the first three days (until I complained) she was always alone! And the councellor did not even try to help her to get involved with others and meet new friends. I do not understand why they call themselves a five-star camp, because they are not! To me, the regular (and not expensive) city camps are much better. Also, despite of the fact they promise 1 to five ration (1 counsellor per 5 kids) it is not true. There were much more kids in the groups. To conclude, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMP.
