What a wonderful Indian restaurant! The ambiance is very chic and the food is delicious. It was not too spicy, it was just perfect. Their garlic naan is really good. Decent prices as well. We will definitely be back!

Food is great, decor is nice, service was fantastic. But dont expect authentic spicy food if you go there. Waiter was nice to warn me, about the food being spicy. In the end, it was not spicy at all.

So, in summary, for the average person that may not be used to spicy food. This place is ideal. If you want authentic super spicy, you'll be disappointed. But the food is great regardless

It was my second visit, on my first visit i gave 5 star review, however I HAD TO DELETE THAT AND GIVE UNFORTUNATELY 1 STAR.

We ordered 2paneer tikka masala, asked chef that we need it with paneer only as vegetarian.

He said yes, when we received it we can not identify as paneer or chicken without eating!

My friend tried to cut it and we saw, They served us NON VEG CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA! I couldn't believe that they were soo irresponsible about this!

i can not imagine that this one of the best expensive indian restaurants can make this huge mistake after telling them 2 times!

Très bon repas, le poulet cari était bien épicé à mon goût, service rapide et agréable. La décoration est magnifique. Pour le diner les thali sont aux alentours de 20$+tx et ajouter 5/7$ pour un dessert maison

Wow! Service amazing, food amazing! Waiters kept filling up our water without us noticing that’s the level of service you get! Naan was huge, food so good! It was a recommendation and we are glad we went there.

Won't rate the food because I only went for drinks, but nice place for that and great location. Big effort on the drinks menu with interesting cocktails and a nice selection of beer. Service was really good too.

It's a great place to go. The food is good, the people who work there are very kind and efficient and the drinks are really good too. I recommend the "catnip" cocktail

We went for dinner and we ordered their signature cocktails which were very good (Kiss my luck was the showstopper), for starters we ordered lamb kababs (taste 3.5/5. No chutney and onions were provided and when asked it was charged in the bill)
Main course: Madras chicken curry with tandoori roti and garlic naan (taste 5/5)

Service was on point, with care and attention. Lamb vindaloo is spicy, actually its so spicy you will cry and liquify! It was very tasty. Professionals only. We will be back for sure.

Drove far to come to this restaurant on a Tuesday for a celebration with a friend. Interior is beautiful and the only reason it got more than one star. Servers were un attentive and at one point the floor manager of the restaurant took over our table due to the lack of experience. But the worst part of the night was the food. Our guest was an Indian and the reason we picked this restaurant. The lamb kabob was overcooked and very hard and dry. The onion fritters had been cooked before and reheated. The shining star of any of the food was the Naan. All food including our sons french fries were served to us at room temperature and we had to ask four times for ketchup. He's seven so waiting twenty minutes for ketchup to him is an eterenity. It took over fifty minutes from the time we received our appetizer to the main course. This may have been because one of our servers changed section and our new one did not come to see us until I waived her over. VERY disappointed with our night.

Hands down one of my best Indian meals. Amazing korm! Great naan and bhaji. Mango lassie to die for. Great atmosphere and comfortable seating. Highly recommend and definitely will return!

Le serveur était super sympa et efficace!
Quant à la nourriture, c'était top!
Le seul petit bémol serait la salle un peu bruyante mais ça n'enlève en rien l'envie d'y retourner prochainement!

It was a wonderful experience! We came into Montreal late (from NY) and even though the place was hopping full with people, the kind host got us in! Excellent team of host/ servers, with the best service possible! The food was great and the ambiance delightful. This is a gem!

My first experience here was great! The staff works as a team and made sure that we were fully satisfied. The ambiance is spectacular and the food was great. Highly recommend the veggie biryani!

Delicious. Service was really slow - we waited 30 for drinks, which came out with the food. Food is excellent and our waiter was helpful in terms of suggestions. Decor is lovely and prices are incredibly reasonable.

Overall a very good experience. Great ambience and food. All food items ordered were tasty and were not greasy or oily. The vegetable korma was excellent.

My favorite Indian food spot in town. Not only is it extremely tasty, beautiful setting, great staff, and delicious cocktails, but it's also so fairly priced that I wonder if they make any money at all. A must go.

The food was pretty good and on par with Indian food in my local town. The wait times for our drinks were quite long but the wait time for the food was almost immediate which was kind of strange. The music was quite loud to carry on a conversation and was surprised it was dance music in a restaurant serving Indian food. Anyhow not a deal breaker just a bit strange. I think I would come back as the food was decent. We did not order exotic drinks from the bar so can’t say how good the bar drinks are. I ordered a beer.

Deserves 5 star for the beautiful and artistic ambiance. Staff is nice and cordial. You can get a wide variety of cocktails and drinks. Food was nice too.

This place is really nice, the decor is unique and well thought. The service was really good. The drinks as well. However, the food is not authentic at all, which is really sad, since everything else was good. I’ll definitely come back for the drinks, but unfortunately not for the Indian food.

I made a reservation for 2 yesterday to sit at the bar as specified in my reservation. I got there and it took 5-7 minutes before I even got acknowledged by the many staff running around. When it came time to get to our seating, they did not have any seating at the bar, they had already given the spot away. Seemed so chaotic in there, so we just left. Not a cosy spot for a romantic dinner.

Friendly staff. Great location. The food is mediocre. Food is nowhere close to authentic. The menu is limited and tastes is okay but not what it's supposed to be.

Awesome drinks, satisfyingly creamy butter chicken, lamb korma was delicious and the chicken vindaloo had just the right spiciness for someone who can take a decent amount of spice. Not comparable to other, lesser-known Indian spots that specialize in their regional cooking, and if you're looking for spicier other places with south-indian cuisine might be a better match. But the atmosphere is really great for the location, not too upscale but enough to have a fancy date! I'm also a bit disappointed that we have to order the rice and naan separately from the meal. One order of rice is enough to share for 2, but there's a chance you order naan twice.

The was such a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, and the service was some of the best in Montreal- genuinely kind wait staff. The cauliflour curry is incredible. Would absolutely return.

Le 409 was our first meal upon arriving in Montreal and it was a fantastic experience. The dishes are truly authentic with wonderful flavors and clearly prepared with love and care. The samosas with chick peas were incredibly flavorful and the eggplant curry was delicious. Our daughters loved and devoured the naan bread and butter chicken. Le 409 also serves local Quebec gins and the Bleu Royal made for a very nice gin and tonic. One of the highlights of Le 409 was our server Joanie. She was so very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about each of the dishes. She has a wonderful personality and ensured that our dinner experience was just perfect!

Maybe we went on an off night. The food was mediocre at best, I could even argue that it was completely bad and definitely not worth the money. All plates were bland. Even the bare minimum, salt, was missing. The garlic naan hardly had any garlic or butter to it. The waiting staff was excellent but ultimately we were let down by the food. Our dishes took a while to come out too so perhaps they were short staffed? Who knows, but I'm shocked to see people rave about this place.

We had an amazing time at Le 409. We are usually skeptical about trying Indian food in new cities, but the combination of flavors offered at Le 409 were so refreshing and unique. The Shrimp Tandoor is out of the world. For those who enjoy very spicy food, I would recommend mentioning your spice preferences. A special mention for Alyona, who was our fantastic server, always cheerful and warm! We couldnt make a reservation in advance as it was completely booked, but she went the extra mile to arrange a table for us in a few minutes. She made my wife's birthday dinner even more special by surprising her with dessert and sparklers! This restaurant is a must visit to enjoy great Indian food and a vibrant ambiance!

I had a reservation for 830 but was running a bit late. I called before hand and asked them if it was okay if I showed up late and they assured me there was no problem. I get there and they say that they are no longer letting people in because they close in an hour and they can't accommodate anyone. I let then know that I called and they said that it would be OK and they just said sorry. Another couple walked in after us and they had reservations as well and were turned away. It's hard to get to and there is no parking available. So it was a slight inconvenience. And every other place in town was booked. If you check online they also had reservations available for 930. So It was just kind of strange. I don't like the way it was handled. Not very good customer service for such a nice restaurant. They did not even offer to make us reservations for another time.

Our group were greeted so nicely and the service was one of the best I've ever had. The food is amazingly good! You should totally taste the Lamb Rojanjosh and the Paneer Naan. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Un des meilleurs indiens à Montréal, goûteux et fort sympathique. On peut y manger ou simplement y prendre un verre (normalement).
