Le Balnéo Restaurant and Bar

I love this place, what a hidden gem. Food is always top notch. Crab cakes are freaking awesome. There's only one negative (I hate being negative) The wine list is confusing (not well know wines) and serving staff should know a little more about them. But seriously I feel bad now (for being negative) because it's out of this world good food.

Went for dinner on a Saturday night, party of seven. The waitress was attentive and efficient. The food presentation was immaculate. I ordered the beef carpacio as an app and the homemade Caesar with Cajun shrimp as my main. The quality of the food was above average, everyone was very pleased with their choices. The restaurant itself is small, about 50 seats; it wasn't too loud and we didn't feel cramped with the table next to us. Already excited to return!

Le restaurant est plus petit qu’on le pense lorsqu’on le voit à l’extérieur mais la nourriture est excellente et le choix de cocktail est bon! Vous allez vous sentez un peu comme dans une boite à sardine mais le restaurant vaut un détour!

La nourriture est excellente. Le seul problème c'est que le restaurant est très petit. Une des serveuses nous faisait sentir mal à l'aise quand nous étions au bar debout. Malgré tout, je vais y retourner juste pour la qualité des repas.

Made a reservation for 6: 30 pm on a Thursday; Had an off menu item of scallops, 2 lobster tails and shrimp in a butter sauce with veggies and rice; absolutely amazing dinner. Ambiance was great; it wasn't too loud, and the place is surprisingly cozy. 10/10 would come back and eat here again

Waitress was wonderfull. Food is pretty good. Shrimp was out of this world. Where it lost 2 stars was that instead of fries I said to add a few extra veggies. I was told no because veggies are very expensive compared to fries. But when we compared the amount of veggies I got to the veggies everyone else got on top of their fries, I got 1/3 of their portion. Oh well.

Ce restaurant nous avait été recommandé. Nous avons aucun regret d'y avoir été ce soir. Très bon service et la nourriture vraiment délicieuse. À mon tour je le recommande fortement

This place is the definition of a local gem; with it's intricate plating and presentation, fresh and flavorful plates and top that with friendly service and home-made style desserts, a winner!

Soup of the day cream of tomato soup was delightfully delicious, coupled with warm bread from the oven, ‘‘twas heavenly “ waitress was quick, efficient and courteous. Food was served in a timely fashion! Loved it.

The place is very nice and cozy. Food is amazing.good quality food! I would keep going back to try everything in their menu!

This is my ULTIMATE favourite local restaurant and I am very particular! Never have I found a place that brings a smile to my face every time I even think of making a reservation! Not only is the food incredible.they are so flexible in regards to changes and/or additions to many dishes offered.the owners and staff are the BOMB! Thank you all so much for making some of my difficult days so much brighter with all of your delicious dishes served with so much love and attention. Home Run restaurant! A big shout out to Martine and her amazing staff.

The food is seasonally driven and inventive, yet approachable - think dishes like roasted chicken with heirloom carrots and turnips, or pan-seared scallops with fennel and orange salad. The wine list is impressive and the cocktails are expertly crafted. The service is professional and attentive, without being stuffy. All in all, it's the perfect spot for a date night or a special evening out with friends.

Fantastic service and amazing food. By far, the best Italian food I've had on any of my visits to Montreal. I wish I could give this place 10 stars.
