The filet mignon rossini was divine! Exceptional service and a very pleasant ambiance too - highly recommend!

Unfortunately, this was the first and last time we dine here. Horribly overpriced for the quality of the food. For a “Steakhouse” the selection of cuts is poor, the quality of the meat is awful, steaks were completely unseasoned and very poorly cooked. At 80$ for a steak, you will be tremendously disappointed. Wine selection is small, but is decent.

Loved brunch so much, we came back for a dinner. Low key, can hear each other and conversation without shouting. Nice btg list, great food.

We came here for a late dinner last night. I must say everything was exceptional! To the drinks, the appetizer and main courses. Server did an outstanding job, recommended a delicious wine that complemented the steak very nicely. Overall very nice experience. Thank you

Good waiter, long time waiting for the food. Terrible steak cut. The chef must hate some customers.

But I have to say that the food tasted very good. The sauce was nice, the people were nice. The meet itself was good too.

Brunch was 30 bucks for a sandwich and a tiny coffew and not worth the money. 2.50 for oat milk substitute? Seriously? Coffee portions are way too small to begin with. Hashbrowns are good, service is great and location is ideal.

The nail in the coffin was the decor. Over the tables are these massive white ceramic? Lamps that obviously have not been cleaned properly in a long time. You're sitting there trying to eat but every time you look up a little you can see this light full of dust, mould and cobwebs. Completely ruined my appetite because all I could think was "what does the kitchen look like? " So I'm not pleased and I won't be going back.

Je vous conseille ce restaurant pour une occasion spéciale intime. C'est très cher, mais la qualité est excellente, l'ambiance est calme, la décoration est chic, le service est parfait et même les salles de bains ont de la classe.

Hi all, I don’t often write reviews but feel compelled to write one about Butterfly.
My partner and I had a particularly bad day, we were robbed at our Airbnb and then moved to a hotel a block away from butterfly, so we were tired, hungry and felt defeated. With our 9 month old daughter in tow, we walked through the doors of this little hideaway and were transported to a perfect world of wine, sashimi, garlic snails and unimaginably perfect steak. Butterfly turned out whole day around - the staff were wonderful and the food was flawless. The restaurant is so well appointed and comfortable. Thank you guys. Wonderful meal. Wonderful night.

First, try their signature mimosa - to die for! Then, if you are going to have the toasted mushroom, cheese and brisket sandwich, loosen your belt! It's not massive but it is packed with so much flavour you HAVE to finish it! Wonderful, attentive staff and a great locale!

Not to be missed. The food here is very good, the atmosphere is lively and the best part…the team that works here is extremely friendly and welcoming. Each visit has been enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Amazing! Went out for a dinner. Everything was impeccable- from the service to food. Our server was very knowledgeable about menu items and gave good drinks recommendations.
Lamb chops were heavenly delicious and melted in a mouth! Never tried like that before!
We tried two different desserts - chocolate crème brûlée and caramel cheesecake. We liked cheesecake more: perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess.
Highly recommend this place! Next time we’re gonna try it for brunch.

Heard about this spot. Went there ordered a tomahawk 60oz. Asked it to be cooked medium. It came cooked rare-medium rare. Told the waitress. She sent it back and they re cooked or grilled the same steak. When it came back it wasn’t the same anymore and wasn’t what you’d expect. Our experience was ruined. The waitress offered us 3 shots of vodka to make up for their mistake. This tomahawk costed 280$. So you’d expect them to take this seriously since they’re a steakhouse. But I guess they didn’t

Ordered onion soup and beef bourguignon. They both tasted burnt and insanely salty. Quality / price ratio is simply non-existent. Avoid this place unless you'd like an overdose of sodium.

Paid parking like everywhere in the old port. Passed by for breakfast because other brunch places were full. Seated immediately by welcoming host. Nice ambiance. Small restaurant so tables quite close to one another and wait staff have to squeeze in between. A few vegetarian options, no vegan options (it is a steak house after all). Ordered the smoked salmon toast and mushroom omelette. Waiter forgot my breakfast potatoes and waitress I manage to make eye contact with suggested they were inside the casserole (my waiter was nowhere to be seen). They weren't. I ordered the omelette, not the hash. She brought me my potatoes separately afterwards. Omelette was good, but would've been better with more of the garlic sauce. We were never offered condiments. Boyfriend enjoyed his smoked salmon. I think they're better adapted to dinner than brunch.

If you’re ready to treat yourself to a good night out, Le Butterfly is the place. It was my first time there, they really put a lot of thought into every small detail of the restaurant.
The ambiance is very classy and chic. The service was impeccable and the waiter gave us some great recommendation.
We ordered the oysters, bone marrow, filet migon Rossini and Cowboy rib steak.
Everything came out perfect, the steak is one of best quality I’ve had so far in a restaurant. The wine selection was excellent as well.
Definitely worth the price, will absolutely recommend it as the best steakhouse in Montreal.

Wayyyy overprice for the quality of the food. I went there for my friend's burthday. I am a foodie and consideribg the location of this steakhouse, I had high expectations. I took the filet mignon with fries and 2 drinks, ended up paying 140$! Service was slow. My food came cold without my sauces in the plate, presentation sucked. I tasted my friend's tuna tartare entree which was good tho! Unfortunatly, I found the server was more focus on making sales than actually listening to the needs of its costumers. Thank god the drinks were good. Will definetly never come back

Brisket hash for breakfast, food tasted great, simple ingredients yet very sophisticated flavours, service were very friendly and gracious, would definitely visit again.
Highly recommend.

L’endroit est certes joli mais le service est très moyen. La nourriture est correcte mais ne vaut pas le prix payé.

The atmosphere, the friendly and professional staff, the suggested wine, the dinners for four (clearly the good work of a brilliant chef with the best products), all a result of an unplanned stop for a late lunch/early dinner, was a most wonderful pleasure in Montréal. Go there. Enjoy it well. And vive le Butterfly!

What a lovely establishment to stumble upon! My colleague and I walked out of the Hotel St. Paul and we were looking for a lunch spot. As soon as we looked through the window we were intrigued! The service is fantastic. Menu in English and French. The French onion soup is a warm hug on an autumn day! Sashimi is very flavourful. The wine selection and pairings were thoughtful too. We very much enjoyed our experience. Lovely hidden gem!

First of all, most of the good reviews are on the Spanish restaurant next door. They don’t have those clams or anything “fancy” like that. I ordered a dish called steak and fries. Absolutely horrible! Medium rare but some part of the steak is burnt and taste bitter. It cost me $36. I had great steak for only &24 in Toronto. The waitress are nice. This place doesn’t worth $50 per person:)
