Le Café Big Trouble

L’endroit est duper cozy. Belle ambiance! Le service etait cool aussi. Mais le café n’étais pas à la hauteur. Le chocolat chaud non plus. Ils ne goûtent rien, et mon café froid était translucide.

Nous y sommes allés pour un brunch entre amis, de par les reviews nous nous attendions à un café chaleureux et sympathique pour ce matin d'hiver malheureusement nous avons été très déçus. D'abord nous avons eu froid, nous étions pourtant près du chauffage d'appoint mais un courant d'air glacial nous a frigorifié. La nourriture était très salée en plus d'être bien ordinaire; les portions étaient assez petites pour le prix, les à-côtés étaient particulièrement ridicules et surtout tout avait goût de sel. Le personnel a par ailleurs été très agréable, je le note comme "service" même s'il s'agit d'un service au comptoir, et les boissons chaudes étaient très bonnes: bonne adresse pour boire un café ou un chocolat chaud, mais peut-être à essayer davantage pendant la saison chaude.

An absolute go-to Latin Quarter cafe which puts a deliciously unique spin on everyday classics. The service and staff are super nice and friendly. I enjoyed the Déjeuner Burrito, banana bread, Avocado Toast not to mention the surprisingly mega delicious Vegan Mac & Cheese! Lots of attention to detail and lots of bang for your buck! Great goodness for the tummy that leaves you wanting to go back again and again.

Generous portions at an extremely reasonable price. Tried the avocado toast, breakfast burrito, pancake, pop-tart, gingerbread cookie and coffee. Everything was satisfying. There’s a laidback yet fun energy to this place. The owners are super personable, you really sense the love that goes into everything they’re doing. Def recommend.

La nourriture consommer sur place étais à la limite du mangeable.pizza rouler froide et indigne d'un restaurant et le café étais amer et vraiment pas bon.par contre le personnel étais très agréable

I came here specifically to try their vegan mac & cheese after reading the reviews. It did not disappoint! It was delicious. I would like to see more vegan options on the menu in the future.

I visited this place months ago and it was as good as I remember the bavette was incredible and all the breads are so awesome, by far one of the places I will visit when I return to Montréal.

Nice and cute neighbor café, the service is pretty much self serve, order at the counter and go get it when is ready which is fine. The breakfast sandwich was really good. The coffee was a little disappointing, the Latte didn't have micro foam and even though it was just made it wasn't hot. The place is nice with plants and is a nice escape away from the cold outside

My girlfriend and I loved this place. We stopped here twice during our stay in Montreal. Great people, great food, and good music. If you’re staying in the Latin Quarter, you should definitely have breakfast here.

Can’t say enough about how much I love this place. The coffee is the best in montreal- very smooth and creamy. Must get their pumpkin spice latte if visiting in the fall, still thinking about those complex and comforting flavours. Don’t forget to get their loyalty card, you get a free coffee after only 5.which is SO generous considering every other cafe requires 10. The fried chicken in chicken and waffles was perfectly cooked, crispy, juicy and tender. The waffles were cornmeal, making this dish unique and especially satisfying. The spicy honey was great- not too sweet. Having fruit on the side was a nice touch to cleanse the palette at the end. Great vegan / vegetarian options too. The vegan Mac and cheese was served in the cutest bowl and was honestly better than regular Mac and cheese. Pickled onions and crispy bread crumbs complemented the richness of the Mac and cheese. We also got the latke with house made hot sauce, the perfect side dish to anything on the menu. Their bread and pastries are all made in house, and you can tell they pay special attention to the details of their food. If it’s your first time, recommend their breakfast sandwich too, it’s my go-to grab and go. But having the brunch and bottomless mimosas was a nice treat. Super friendly and kind staff too. Wish I took a pic, but ate everything too fast! All in all, you must try this place! Best new restaurant of 2023 hands down.

The wait for the food is a bit long but it was fresh and decent. The price is a bit expensive but the beverages are 10/10! Staff who took our order was super friendly and nice!

Très bonne découverte. Nous avons pris du granola et des pancakes qui étaient vraiment délicieux. Il y avait des pommes à la cannelle par dessus et une de nous était allergique à la canelle. La cuisinière à eu la gentillesse de nous les refaire sans cannelle. Personnel vraiment agréable. Endroit joliment décoré. Assiette copieuse. Vraiment parfait. Je recommande ce lieu pour un brunch idéal.

One if the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Great atmosphere and service is super friendly.

This café has a quirky, alternate-hipster atmosphere to it. The dark green theme on the furniture is peculiar but comfortable at the same time. Not too much seating available, but enough. Service was ok. Their menu is different from most cafes, with a few items you’d more likely find at a diner. The breakfast sandwich is everything people are saying it is – doesn’t even bother me that much that it’s priced like a lunch sandwich with how delicious it is. Everything here has a very homecooked feel to it, as well as the way it’s served. This café is kept generally clean by it’s staff. Wish they were open a bit later.

Such a cool brunch spot! Coffee is delish, blueberry pancakes are unreal, and they have the best home fries i’ve ever had.service is amazing and the owner gives the best vibes
