The location was perfect for dining, shopping, and Christmas activities. The hotel was amazing and our room was fantastic. Everything from room service to the in house restaurants, valet, and front desk service was ideal. It made for a wonderful vacation. We will be back.

The hotel is stunning. Great boutique hotel located at the wall of Old Quebec City. Check in was a pleasure as the front desk was friendly and very helpful. We had several questions about the area that they were able to help us with. This is our second trip to Quebec City and this luxury hotel gave us a great first impression.

Great view room. Lots of windows. Fantastic location for Old Town exploration. However, there is very limited closet space, the towel rack fell off the wall under the weight of two dry towels, and the coffee maker decided to only make small cups, so I have to run it three times to get a regular-sized cup of coffee. Also, housekeeping took the extra towel we had asked for on the first night and took all the hand towels without replacing them.

Beautiful hotel, prime location and pristine rooms. Francene the concierge is a delight, she was so very helpful on our trip! Can't wait to come back!

It was an absolutely amazing experience in this hotel. I am very picky when it comes down to cleanliness and this hotel is very clean. From the artistic interior design to welcoming services, this hotel delivered such enjoyable experience for me. Great location and restaurants. The lounge and bar offer very delicious drinks, the concierge service was also outstanding.

Definitely will recommend to all my friends and family.

I asked for a room with view during the reservation on the phone and I was told that all king bed room has a view which is not the case.
Ask a room on the highest floor if you want a good view.

We stay at this hotel for two nights after getting off from princesses cruise. The location is perfect: all of attractions are within walking distance but not right in the tourist area so it is quiet. The hotel is like new to us: the reception is on the seventh floor but rooms are on the other connected building and you have to go down to get in your room - it is confused sometimes. The service is slow but I guess it is very now in this town. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s restaurant charged us for full price of a coffee latte even a coffee is included in the breakfast package. I think we should be charged the difference between a coffee $4 and a coffee latte $6. I would love to come back.

This is one of the prettiest hotels we have stayed at. Not only does it have old world charm it is centrally located in Quebec City. We absolutely love these boutique style places.

When we came back from a day of sight seeing our room door was left open, not a good feeling to come back. Plus toilet seat was broken, Illy coffee not working, hard bed, and noisy room. Disappointing based on the level of hotel, not sure we will be back

The staff was very polite and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The level of service provided by the employees was truly exceptional and it's clear that they take pride in their work.

The view from my room was absolutely fantastic, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. I spent hours just staring out of the window, taking in the stunning sights. The room itself was also incredibly comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities I could ask for. With its exceptional service and stunning views, it's truly a must-visit destination. I give this hotel a solid 5 stars! "

Excellent hotel in a great area. The hotel is walking distance to basically everything in Old Quebec City including great restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful and valet guys were great. Would definitely recommend.

Très bel hôtel, bien situé juste avant porte St-Jean et le vieux Québec. Bâtisse patrimoniale bien préservée, bar, salon, lobby et resto sont très bien décorés. Vues vers l'est superbes. Chambres spacieuses, propres et au goût du jour. Très bel acceuil à la réception. Service de voiturier un peu trop dispendieux pour Québec toutefois.

Ils offrent le service d un valet que j ai utilise. Le lendemain au retour de notre voiture il manquait un manteau. Je ne peux pas dire a 100 pourcent que c est du au valet, mais la prochaine fois je vais le stationner moi meme quitte a le stationner plus loins de l hotel.

Went to see a band and stayed in the hotel overnight as well. Wicked cool boutique hotel. Not sure there's much for kids, but adults should love this funky place.

Second time stay experience is as good as the first visit. This is probably the best hotel in Canada.

Je me suis rendu à L’Hôtel du Capitole dans la nuit du 24 au 25 décembre avec mon petit chat qu’ils ont bien voulu accepté avec plaisir, service impeccable, personnel très poli et content de nous aider avec le sourire.

Classy hotel with amazing service and friendly smiles from all of the staff! The bed and pillows are so clean, soft and comfy, outlets and light switches located in the headboard panel, there are illy coffee machines and blackout curtains.

We went with valet parking as we had a lot of luggage travelling with a baby, so it was more convenient with a trolley and bellman helping us out. Just park in from of the hotel lobby and let them know, the staff will come quickly to assist you!

It was raining cats and dogs outside, although we didn’t realize we had an umbrella in the closet, they gave us one to borrow at the front desk anyway! This was super helpful because I had a baby in a carrier and my husband needed one too to walk separately, so it was much appreciated as we ended up using them the entire evening we were out.

At check-in, they had a small teddy bear as a gift/souvenir for my baby! What a sweet touch. We stayed in the Citadine King bed room and had enough room for our Nuna Sena crib (they offer cribs as well, but we are used to using our own just for consistency for a fussy baby).

The only two things that took a bit of time to remember/ figure out were the elevators (remembering to take a separate one to go to the main floor reception) and how to use the soap dispensers in the bathroom (they are mounted to the wall with no apparent way on how to dispense, we ended up squeezing them and figured that’s how to get the product out).

The hotel is in a nice location for walking distance next to so many of the main charming Old Montreal tourist areas. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

It was an amazing hotel I totally recommend it the showers were so nice the service was outstanding and I speak English and they were good with it the pool was so relaxing the food was top shelve this hotel is one of the best

Amazing hotel. Stayed just for 3 night in la citadine room and it was amazing. Hotel staff were helpfull and great, very friendly. Can easily go around the city walking from the hotel. Just amazing!

Suite 803 for 7 nights at Christmas with daughters in nearby room 806. Living room area large enough to celebrate Christmas overlooking Old City. Small Christmas tree in room with lights. All staff, especially Francine the Concierge and Charles-Antione and all doormen valets, very friendly and helpful. Clubby Bar one floor below lobby very convenient for end of day drinks with knowledgeable and skillful bartenders. Best Hotel Vacation ever, especially over Christmas.

My husband and I stayed for our 1 year wedding anniversary in October. We immediately felt welcomed by the charismatic staff. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the city on the 7th floor. The room was spacious and modern with plenty of places for charging our devices and ample storage. Each day our room was meticulously cleaned. The club room is gorgeous and the bartenders were energetic! We did not use the pool, but we viewed the space and it looked like a great place for a brief swim and to relax. There are outdoor terraces with exciting views of the city as well. The hotel is perfectly located with the attractions and restaurants starting only a block away, and the charming side streets Old City, Place Royal, and the “boardwalk” just a few blocks away. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

Perfect score on all aspects! I'm so glad to have booked Le Capitole Hotel for our anniversary trip. So classy, yet warm and inviting. Everything was so elegantly appointed and thoughtfully provided. Our room had a breathtaking view of the city, a soaking tub, ample closet space, and spotless and chic bathrooms. The front desk staff was friendly and full of smiles. Room service breakfast was prompt and delicious, but of course, there are countless restaurants nearby from which to choose. The branding and communication is low-key and nonintrusive-no apps, no flood of emails, which I like. Just great service and accurate website photos and details. Compared to other luxury hotels we've visited, we felt Le Capitole is an excellent value and would love to return!

I can’t review the hotel because I haven’t stayed there, but there’s a lovely craft cocktail bar on the 6th floor that is pretty special. You can’t beat the view from the bar! Beautiful decor too with plenty of seating. My bartender, David, was friendly and attentive to each customer. Great selection of specialty cocktails, plus some beer on draft. Great stop for pre- or post- dinner/theatre drinks!

The hotel knowing we booked the room with a small child, and that they have a show at their theater.the music is so loud until so late. The bass is so annoying. The vibration transmits to the 2nd floor they assigned us to. It was so frustrating. Simple rule of thumb is a quiet hotel stay.but not this one. Get a higher up floor if they ever put u on second or third.

This is hands-down the very best hotel we have ever stayed at! We are in a suite room 801 with a fantastic view of old Quebec and the room itself has wonderful amenities, decor, and comfort. The service in this hotel is excellent, when our coffee machine broke someone was up within 10 minutes. When we needed more coffee someone was in our room with more supplies within 10 minutes. When we asked for room service, it was the same thing! The restaurant food was bar drinks were also excellent. The views from our room are spectacular not to mention on the ninth floor where there is a rooftop pool and deck. Stunning at night time as well. The hotel is located right at the old city wall and you can walk to all the most important amenities and sites within 20 minutes. We also got the valet parking service which is a steal at just $30 per day. Again I highly recommend the service.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay recently and were very impressed with the hotel, staff and amenities. Check in was quick and easy and our room was lovely.
The hotel is in an ideal location, close to everything. We enjoyed drinks in the evening at Clubby Bar, and the waiter was attentive and friendly. The pool was a welcome spot after a long day exploring Quebec.

This is an ok hotel.very clean and due to the architecture interestingly funky but this is no 5 star hotel! The service is truly sub-par at best. I had requested a room when we checked in for noon (not a horrible request). When we got here, I was told by the front desk person our room would be ready by 4pm! When I said I requested a room for noon, he said he would ask for an expedited room but could not tell us when it would be ready. I then asked what would the longest it would take - he told me 4pm. He then offered me a room on a lower floor with a horrible view of a brick wall. No trying to make this right. Not 5 star service. Then we reserved for dinner at their restaurant. My table was honestly 24 inches by 24 inches and we were two! I had to stare at a brick wall 2 feet in front of my face. The service was very average (it was busy) and the food was ok. Again - this is not a 5 star place. Back to the Chateau Frontenac we will be going on our next visit.

Amazing location! The staff were so welcoming, charming and helpful! Especially Julie at the reception desk. The rooms are truly beautiful and the amenities are great. We absolutely loved our stay there!

Le service client en général pour un hôtel 5 étoiles devrait être réviser car il n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles.

I would like to give this property more than 5 stars because it was just that good! We loved our stay at this hotel and cannot say enough good about it. The location was perfect just outside the old town gate, the hotel was spotless, staff were very hospitable and friendly, the decor was beautiful and the breakfasts that came with the room were amazing! We loved our stay at this hotel and will definitely be back if we are in the city again.

The rooms were pristinely clean. We had a very nice stay on our honeymoon, the room was a little small but not enough to take it down to 4 stars. Great experience overall.

Hello, we stayed in Le Capitole Hotel in November 2021 and found it very pleasant and comfortable. Very friendly personnel, new rooms with a spectacular views. Few minutes to reach everything, valet parking service make it a nice place to stay if you are going to visit local sightseeing. By the way, the breakfast menu was very various with a delicious food.

The hotel is a breath of fresh air in pretty much every way. From welcoming, friendly staff to clean and comfortable accommodations and services. The location is perfect to walk in any direction to the Old Town area, many parks, shops and dining options. Perfectly clean rooms with coffee/espresso in room and a massive TV on a mount that swings out to view from more than just the beds. Pool was welcoming with a grand panoramic view of the mountains from the outdoor deck off the pool. Bathroom was fabulous and even had heated flooring.

COVID policy followed well and was adhered to my nearly all the guests and staff. I considered staying at the Chateau Frontenac and am happy I chose this instead.

The location is at the end of the wall section nearest the main walking/shopping area and a brief walk to the Citidel past the Royal Palace, and about 10 minutes to the Frontenac depending which way you go. We wanted to see the sites as shown in the Korean Drama Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and found them all within walking distance except one that was a brief 2 mile drive where the falling leaf scene was filmed.

Breakfast was included and was superb. Would highly recommend.

Avant tous, il faut comprendre que nous sommes des fidèles clients du Fairmont et avons decider de changer d'hotel car ceci obtient une meilleure cote sur Expedia. Nous voulions donc comparer les expériences. Tournure des événements, extrêmement déçus. L'ensemble de notre experience n'était pas digne d'une 5 étoiles.

Nous avons séjourné à l'hotel durant le festival Ha!
Dès notre arrivée, nous avons dû décharger la voiture, demander pour un chariot, trouver la reception et aller à la chambre avec nos valises. Du valet à la réception, personne ne nous a offert de l'aide. Ce qui est très étrange pour un 5 étoiles.

À la reception, on nous avise que le bar est fermé et que la piscine et le gym sont disponibles sous réservations seulement. Ceci auraient du être mentionné lors de mon appel ou en ligne, car ceci aurait jouer fortement dans notre decision puisque nous adorons essayé des bars d'hotels.
Nous arrivons à la chambre, c'est du tapis alors que les chambres montrent du plancher. Puis, je prends ma douche et la salle de bain devient automatique inondé car la salle de bain est sans drain. Mon copain y va a son tour et la situation n'est plus gérable. Le tapis de la chambre devient lui aussi vite mouillé.
Agréable comme expérience pour un 5 étoiles.

Puis, vers 4pm, nous décidons d'aller si le restaurant de l'hotel auraient un place pour prendre un verre 1h sans plus. L'hôtesse nous réponds froidement et ca semble être très exigent comme demande. On fini par avoir une place alors que le resto est vide mais ce fut plutot special comme accueil.

Nous revenons plus tard pour notre reservation de 20h, effectué il a plus d'une semaine avant notre visite, avec précision d'être sur la terrasse. Des notre arrivée, l'hôtesse se chicane avec les clients devant nous, ce qui nous met très mal à l'aise. On reste tout de foi très courtois et présente notre réservation en mentionnant toujours vouloir être a l'extérieur. On nous mentionne qu'il n'y a pas de reservation sur la terrasse et que nous sommes assignés à l'intérieur. Tout cette situation est très bizarre car, c'est comme si on nous disait non que pour dire non. On s'installe a notre table a l'intérieur mais je suis toujours très déçue. Mon copain se lève pour aller voir l'achalandage a l'extérieur et certaines tables sont libres. Il demande donc à notre gentille serveuse qui nous a servit plus tot si nous pourrions aller a l'une des tables dispos. Elle nous explique que la terrasse est entièrement réservé vers 22h30-23h pour l'évenement en cours dans l'hotel. C'était donc ca. Mais sans problème, il ne fallait que le dire. Nous quitterons pour 22h15. Alors que la serveuse nous déplace vers l'extérieur, l'hôtesse la prend par le bras et lui dis: ''je peux te parler? '', très agitée. Puis, elle commence à envoyer promener la serveuse alors que nous sommes juste à coté, littéralement bouche bée. Nous avons juste demander d'avoir une belle soirée alors que nous sommes en voyage. Cette situation m'a mis a l'envers une bonne partie du souper. Une situation comme ca, dans un hotel 5 étoiles, alors que ce n'est même jamais arrivée dans un resto de quartier.
La nourriture était bonne et nous avons réussi a avoir un peu de plaisir quand même, mais disons que notre enthousiasme de boire un bon champagne et y passer du bon temps, a vite tourner en '' on mange et on va ailleurs''.

Notre séjour s'est terminé avec un bon déjeuner. Lors du check-out, nous avons remis nos bagages et avons demandés qu'ils soient déposés dans l'auto. Chose qui n'a pas été faites, on a du le faire nous même.

Pour le service globale de l'hotel, ce n'est simplement pas digne d'un 5 étoiles. Nous nous aurions attendus à être pris en charge des notre arrivés et être reçu de façon courtoise et de répondre dans le maximum possible oui à nos demandes. C'est l'essence d'un hotel de cette cote.
Pour le restaurant, le non-respect de l'hôtesse à complètement terni notre expérience. Nous n'y retournons pas.

Our time here was amazing. The location is in walking distance to the river, the Basilica, the Chateau Frontenac and lots of shopping. The service is outstanding.

Great location, right by an entrance to the older part of the city. Plenty of restaurants close by. Beautiful rooms, good restaurant on site and the staff is helpful! I want to know who decorated this place Hope to return one day.

Beautiful hotel. The suite was unbelievably stunning with the best views of Old QC. However there is a huge lack of service at this hotel. The room service closes way too early, you can’t even get room service on the phone, so you have to actually go to the restaurant to place your order. You’re left to carry your own luggage cart to the room. There’s no fridge in the suite, motels 6’s even have fridges. No mini bar in the room and no stock of items kept at reception. All in all the Hotel is stunning. Great location. I’d definitely come back and recommend but to be a true 5 star hotel this hotel needs to step up their service game.

We went to Quebec City for a romantic couple gateway and this hotel is great. The location is the main reason I chose it ; you can walk to all the main attractions in Vieux-Québec and delicious restaurants. The room was modern and clean - king bed comfy. We chose the Room Citadine category and unfortunately, there was no balcony. It's my bad for assuming that all rooms have a balcony. The room was too small for us with our luggage. The included breakfast was good and their patio is well decorated. I will book a suite next time!

The best place to stay in Quebec, forget the other 5 Star Hotels. A lavishly renovated old theater with contemporary amenities. A must stay!

économies.le petit déjeuner est très moyen et l ensemble est donc hors de prix pour la qualité des lieux.

Booking pictures have hardwood floor, but rooms are carpet, I have allergies to carpet and did not enjoy my stay, asked the reception to change rooms, but they said we don't have anything, on there website and other sites they had available rooms.this is a 3 star hotel at best, almost $500/night! 2 sets of elevators, first go up, then come back down to access the room, not convenient and needed to wait a while for elevators.

Très bel hôtel! La chambre et la salle de bain étaient très propre, la décoration était chic et bien choisi dans tout l'hôtel, le personnel était très professionnel et la taille de la chambre était très raisonnable (la salle de bain est plus grande qu'elle n'y paraît sur la photo). Ceci dit, le restaurant Il theatro n'était toujours pas à la hauteur, même pour les déjeuners, prenez plutôt le BO qui offrait des plats beaucoup plus intéressant (même si vous ne prenez pas de fruits de mer) et un bien meilleur service. Nous retournerons au Capitole l'an prochain!
