Food was very good. Though id say i wasn’t a fan of the pancakes. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

The place can definitely use some ambience music as you hear the chatter of everyone and it can get quite loud at brunch

Highly recommend. Excellent breakfast, we got there just before the rush. Canton breakfast skillet was excellent and the Brunch Nordique was delicious, such great flavors, I swapped the bagel for country toast which was perfect. All the food looked amazing. Next time pancakes!

Open cafe with great breakfast. The scrambled eggs with asparagus and goat cheese was delicious. Lots of cafe drinks to pick from as well!

Classic breakfast spot. Visiting from Calgary and staying downtown we came back 2 days in a row. Friendly staff, good breakfast and a lively environment. Not disappointed. Thank you for having us and look forward to visiting again

The best breakfast of all of my Montreal visits thus far has been at Le Cartet. Everyone enjoyed their food, which was exquisitely prepared, and I particularly enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. If anything, I would say that the fruit salad add-on for $4.75 may not have been worth it, but that's subjective and the only minor drawback. If I were in the neighborhood more often, I would probably grab more sandwiches, wraps and salads from here as the quality of the food is excellent, as is the coffee.

Great place to start your day. Server was really nice as well. Decent price and patio atmosphere was good.

We went there Sunday for brunch. At 11: 30 there was already a line. We waited around 20-30 minutes I think before being set at a table. The service was good considering how busy it was. The food was also delicious. My poached eggs were very well cooked and the yolk leaked on the smoked salmon. I liked the spicy mayonnaise on top to give it a kick. The portions are generous and pleasing to the eyes. It was definitely worth the wait!

Je suis déçue. Je me suis acheté un café Latté pour pouvoir m'asseoir a une table, après avoir payé je me fait dire que je ne pouvais pas étant donné que je n'avais pas payé mon latte au bon endroit dans la boutique. Il reste des tables de vide, il est 10: 30 le matin et il fait froid dehors, on me dit désolée et me laisse partir sans essayer d'accomoder ma situation.

Cute little resto-boutique, great for tourists and locals alike. I love the fact that you can sit down to eat or take things to go!

Delicious nicoise salad; very busy during lunch, but there's room for everyone and the service is fast.

J’ai adoré mon expérience. Le brunch était tout simplement délicieux. Les plats sont simples et savoureux avec une qualité d’ingrédients qui se démarque. Le généreux bol de café latte était aussi excellent. L’accueil et le service hyper efficace et courtois. Je recommande et j’ai déjà hâte à ma prochaine expérience.

We did research for restaurants we go to and had a few very nice meals in Montreal, including brunches; everything has been quite good. Saw that the pricing here is on the higher end with good reviews, with that we had quite a high expectation coming in.
Ordered a french toast and the duck confit dishes, the duck dish tasted ok but the french toast was not to our liking. Texture of the brioche toasts was dry, other parts were all quite standard.
The service was great and very fast, given the restaurant was extremely busy. Will give five star to the service.
As the last meal we had in Montreal, this was a disappointing experience and we would not come back again.

Première fois au Cartet pour ma part, c’était excellent: qualité des produits, qualité de présentation, les serveurs sont d’une gentillesse et même en portant un masque on arrive à voir leurs sourires et leurs envie de nous satisfaire!

Adresse incontournable à Montréal. Tout est parfait. Et leur granola fait maison juste du bonheur.

Le brunch était excellent avec un service sympathique. Le plat (canton) était un brunch typique, mais rendu très différent grâce à la qualité des produits et la mise en valeur de ceux-ci. Tout était délicieux, y compris le dessert.

Just visited this place for brunch. Great customer service and the foods were really good! Pretty filling portions. Free refill for coffee. Will come back next time!

Très bon! J'y suis allé une première fois il y a 3 mois et depuis j'y retourne à chaque fois que j'ai l'occasion! Les assiettes sont de bonne portion. Leur Jambon est délicieux!

We found this place based on ratings and we were not disappointed! The staff were fantastic, each and every one. The food was delicious and well thought out, not a place where they jam a ton of potatoes on your plate to fill it up.
The decor and atmosphere was also awesome. Plants and a couple takeout items and confectionary. I saw a couple families go up there to get something to occupy their kids
We liked it so much we went back to days in a row. Really great job guys!

J'avais été là une première fois pour le café en 2008, et je suis très heureux que Le Cartet ait survécu à la crise, parce que mon brunch aujourd'hui a été excellent. Le décor est accueillant, notre serveuse a été une Française charmante, et le canton, que j'ai commandé, m'ai comblé! Bonne continuation!

I was visiting this restaurant from out of town and the staff were completely friendly. The staff greeted both in French and English as soon as she realized I wasn't French speaking.

They have excellent service, always topping up your water and checking in to see how you're doing.

The fruits were very fresh and well picked, as well as the crepes soft and savory.

I really enjoyed their coffee and I would come back either for a nice meal or a coffee meeting.

Great place for brunch, however their pricing is one the higher end. Understandable since they are in the old port. Service was good…they were quite busy. I do like the fact that they offer healthy meals to go. They also have a great selection of Fair Trade Chocolate that are not from big corporate brands. So I appreciate their effort in sourcing quality products.

They do not offer plant-based selection except for the Avocado Toast dish that I very much enjoyed. Hopefully in the future there will be more vegan options. Overall, good place for brunch.

Food is very good, the staff very friendly.the only drawback was the amount of time it took to get served. Perhaps the kitchen was understaffed due to the lockdown just ending.

Love this place but I liked the old menu better. Despite having a great selection of non-dairy milk for lattes, there isn't much you can eat with little or no meat if you're lactose intolerant.

It has been a few years since I’ve been back to Le Cartet for brunch and was happy to discover they are still as awesome as always. The Nordique is the best Eggs Benedict, fresh smoke salmon and served hot.

I always enjoy this place so much! I’ve been a few times when I lived in Montréal. The presentation is great. Staff are friendly. The grilled cheese with pulled pork is a must! You won’t be disappointed. Their skillet breakfast dishes are also great— they remind me of cabane à sucre style breakfasts.

The quality of breakfast (brunch) is good but not perfect (it can be better with this price). Most of the restaurants for brunch include the coffee in the brunch price but in this place you should order separately. The dishes do not include fresh fruits.the staffs are friendly.but the place is too noisy.
Unfortunately, the patio was close because of rain.

The food was delicious! And our waitress was really nice! We didn't get her name but she's the lady with short hair, glasses and tattoos I got a Niçoise salad which I recommend! Thank you!

Keep in mind that they serve both meals outside on there terassee as well as have a café and meals to go inside as well. I dismissed them in the past as I assumed they were just a restaurant. As it turns out the café is good too! Had a tasty breakfast bagel with egg, lots of bacon, and cheese for $7. Staff are friendly too!

Le Cartet does everything really well, from Prêt-à-Manger, desserts, etc. Staff is amazingly friendly and hardworking.

Looking forward to having their legendary brunch when their terrace or indoor dining reopens.

Went there for breakfast and was very impressed. The store and restaurant were very clean and organized. Our waitress, Jillian, was wonderful and made the experience extra special. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious (we had the smoked salmon on a bagel and croissant). I asked Jillian what we can do on a rainy day in Montreal and she took a real interest and made several helpful suggestions.a truly great experience and highly recommend!

Vraiment bon. Plats originaux et goûteux à un prix correct. Ce n'est pas particulièrement économique mais la qualité est là. Les déjeuners sont copieux et savoureux. Seul bémol, on aimerait un peu de renouvellement du menu. La petite boutique est sympathique et les plats pour emporter sont biens mais un peu chers.

Stopped here during a layover in Montreal for brunch and it was fantastic! Menu was available in both English and French and the food was phenomenal. I got the recommendation from the 36 Hours in the US and Canada book and would happily return.

Our first stop after we checked into the hotel. Got there around 9: 30 am and right away the staff was very friendly and welcomed us and guided us to our seats. We ordered our breakfast and two coffees. As self proclaimed coffee connoisseurs, we ordered two cortado’s and they were delicious. It was not on their menu but the waitress knew what it was. If you love smoked salmon, (We do) we have to recommend the Le Nordic on their Menu. Best we have eaten so far. The ambiance was nice too.

Typical of the touristy really it is adjacent to. Pretentious and over priced. The staff was polite but the food wasn't stand out. It was a bit (but not dramatically) over priced.

Delicious brunch/lunch spot. Excellent service and a nice varied menu.

I’ve been twice - the first time I had the Nordic breakfast which was delicious - smoked salmon, black pillow bread, goats cheese.yuuuuuuum! And their coffee is really good too - they offer a great range of non dairy milks.

The second time, we had the soup of the day (carrot), and an open-face chicken sandwich and the duck sandwich - both were really tasty and the soup was great to warm us up on a cold day.

This place was very good. Decent prices as well. I ordered the Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Jalapeño and a side of bacon. It was really tasty.

The server was very friendly and courteous too. Didn't catch his name, but had glasses and salt and pepper hair (just in case the owner reads this.ha ha).

A bustling Montreal restaurant filled with sunlight and chattering locals, my wife and I found the food delicious (we came two consecutive mornings for brunch) and service charming and attentive.

The eggs benedict on the sliced duck breast is divine and not something I've ever seen offered before. The flavours all complement the dish for maximal taste. I had the bloody orange mimosa which was very tasty. Great experience and fantastic tastes. Great service also.

J’adore surtout les brunchs ici! Dommage qu’il y a tout le temps une fil la fin de semaine sinon j’irais encore plus souvent! Les employés sont très patients et efficaces!

Resto moderne, bel endroit. Liste de déjeuners spécifiques un peu moins traditionnels. Très bruyant, difficile à avoir une discussion à voix basse. On est allé en petit groupe (4) un dimanche juste avant l'heure de pointe. Une serveuse est arrivée après 15 minutes pour nous apporter de l'eau et prendre une commande de café. Dans les 4 personnes, 2 repas sont arrivés froid. Un n'avait pas tous les aliments principale indiqués dans le menu. Je ne retourne pas à cet endroit. Je m'attendais à plus pour le prix. Les chaises ne sont pas confortable pour une rencontre d'amis.

Un de mes restaurants préférés pour le déjeuner! J’adore leur dejeuner toscan et le brunch l’atlantique. J’aimerais y aller encore plus souvent cependant les fin de semaines, l’attente est souvent très long. Service toujours attentionné et chaleureux!

Was a bit of a wait but worth it. Food was great service was good. Price was mid range I would say for a good brunch. Also has a good store front you can buy tons of chocolates and teas
