Le Maitre Boucher

I ordered a 5-6 kg pork butt, and ended up with 7.5 kg, but other than that the service and quality are high end. The prices are reasonable for the quality.

Yesterday was my first visit to this lovely little store. Great variety of high quality products.
Would like to thank a butcher over the meat counter (sadly didn't ask his name but I know he has Romanian dad).
He chosen great cuts of steak for me and also his recommendation on cooking them completely changed my steak experience. It turned up absolutely amazing. Thank you very much. I will be back shortly for more

La meilleure épicerie fine du quartier! Malheureusement le lieu est petit et les prix sont élevés. Mais souvent ça se justifie par la qualité et la sélection.

I needed information on a certain roast I was looking for. The butcher was very helpful. The store has many nice things to look through. Enjoyed my visit.

Seul bémol: Il devient de plus en plus désagréable de faire des achats chez le maître boucher du fait du manque d'espace pour circuler à l'intérieur du magasin.
Rentabiliser l'espace c'est bien, mais à ce niveau là c'est tres exagéré!

Avoid peak hours though because it's a very small space, and can get crowded in there

To be honest, hands down the most reliable French butcher in town for all types of meat! Their paté is comparable to the best one in France, just passed two weeks and I was blessed Maitre Boucher is near our place in NDG! On top of that, the staff is super friendly, go visit it's authentic!

Fresh vegetables, salads and pies! I love that they sell shallots by the case. You can't get that here in any Ontario grocery store. Lots of choices for deli and sauces. Small inside so it's tight navigating but great little butcher. Will definitely visit again if we stay in the area.

Top notch specialty food store with an exquisite selection of food products. Name says it all, they are a master butcher shop staffed by helpful & friendly pros. Not a bargain store but fairly priced for the high quality offerings.

Easily the best butcher shop in the area. On the pricy side but everything is top shelf. Treat yourself to the very best meat, produce and imported foods.

We always come here to grab good pieces of meat for our special dishes (birthday, anniversaries etc). Well worth it. You have to come in person, you cannot see the ingredients online easily. Very small store so have in mind what you want before going in (due to covid etc).

La caissière aujourd'hui à était tellement mal élevée, car elle m'a humilié aujourd'hui pour le port du masque non conforme à ses yeux. Je dépense une fortune chez vous chaque semaine et je me suis fait insulter par une gamine. Je peux vous garantir que je ne retournerai jamais. Merci

Great fresh products, helpful staff. Go see the butcher with the tattoo's, I forget his name but he is always very helpful and gives great advice on how to prep meals!

Grande qualité et choix mais trop de plastique! Les mets préparés, les légumes emballés, la viande emballée tout dans du plastique. A notre époque, svp considérer d'autres matières car même si soit disant recyclable, on sait que très peu est en effect recyclé.

C'est une épicerie que j'adore. Le personnel est aimable, serviable et compétent et les produits sont excellents. Petit bémol: il faudrait supprimer la "sole sauvage" des rayons. D'abord parce qu'elle n'a rien de sauvage et ensuite parce que quel que soit le mode de cuisson, on se retrouve avec une espèce de bouillie pour chat totalement insipide comme si le produit avait été mal congelé. Pour ce qui est des plats préparés, certains prix sont justifiés et d'autres totalement exagérés.

Une épicerie très complète avec toujours un très bon choix de viande de qualité. Des brochettes déjà préparées et assaisonnées. Du poisson déjà découpé, et une belle gamme de tartes et de délicieux plats préparés. Bref une belle adresse, manquant de sourire et de convivialité heureusement un peu compensée par la qualité.

Quality mini grocer/marche with a super butcher department. I love their rib racks with a bottle of my favorite bbq sauce Rufus Teague honey flavor. For a small store they have a large selection of products like specialty cheeses, and ready made prepared foods. They also have ready to go Bbq chickens.

Une épicerie avec d’exellents produits un peu dispendieux mais la qualité est là. Les plats préparés sont excellent avec une petite touche française (choucroute.) la viande excellente mais on peut être surpris par le prix mais les bouchers sont très pro et ne disent rien quand on en veut un peux moins. La seule améliorations a faire selon moi est la coupe du jambon, je demande tout le temps des tranches coupées moyennes pour que ce soit presentable dans une assiette et j’ai toujours des tranches très fines, les commis au comptoirs devraient montrer la première tranche au client pour voir si l’epaisseur est convenable. ;)
Rien a dire sur le service: courtois, efficace et rapide.

If you don’t feel like cooking, Maître Boucher’s permafrost dinners are the BEST. Delicious and filling. We usually get a few and freeze them for times when we “literally can’t even” make dinner.

We also love their rotisserie chicken. Reserve it earlier in the day because they go FAST!

Always a good selection of produce. They are quite good at featuring Quebec made products so you can feel good about buying local.

Also great for unique upscale grocery items.
