I'm not gluten free but some of my family members are and this is the best place to pick up safe treats for them, but are also yum for you!

Everything is delicious and so comparable to glutenous counterparts.
My sister is celiac and happily eats things here she hasn't been able to in years.

A great place to stop in if you have dietary restrictions but don't want it to restrict your sweet tooth haha

Absolutely AMAZING. First time I have had anything like this since I was a kid and before going gluten free. It was flakey and so much larger then anything I have seen elsewhere. 1000% recommend if you are nearby

Both me and my wife having food allergy’s this place was a gem to find. The croissants being both gluten free and dairy free are amazing and they also have a nice selection of other pastries and desserts. I would highly recommend stopping here

Laminated. Pastries. I've been gluten free since early 90's and haven't had a croissant since. They had four options. FOUR! Croissant, almond croissant, choclatine, and almond choclatine. I've been in a gluten-free bakery in Lyon, France - and these guys were even better. Gluten-free (calorie-full!) paradise. Their case was beautiful and filled with cheesecake, lintzer cookies, macarons, cakes, and a gorgeous row of st.honore, and I'll say I was very tempted by that shiny, sweet stack of choux pastries filled with cream. If it wasn't clear, I WANNA GO BACK (but just, every Saturday and maybe Wednesdays just because).

Everything is gluten free so as a celiac I was very happy. Staff was super friendly, and food was good. I would recommend to any celiac visiting Montreal.

I love the atmosphere of this place! Their coffee and pastry are super delicious, and the barista is really nice, fast and helpful. They also have a great selection of gluten free products that you can purchase.

I suggest to find somewhere else for coffee and croissants. Coffee was piping hot and the 5$ almond croissant that they served was not fresh.

After 6 years I finally try a real croissant. Except it's gluten free. I was always told it was impossible to make gluten free croissants, but this place proved it wasn't. So fluffy.

I had my first ever gluten free croissant ever at this bakery! It was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. I can't compare it to original croissants since I haven't had one beforehand but it was delicious.

The door of the bakery is on the right hand side of the entrance. I love this cake! Cake lovers don't miss it!

The free-sugar cakes are exquisite! At the level of a 5-star French shop but with a twist: no sugar! Excellent service too. Highly recommended place!

The croissants here are delicious. I decided to venture away from these and try the beef empanadas. There was no flavour to the filling, the spinach was definitely frozen that had been added and not fresh, and the pastry was thick and dry. My husband couldn’t even stomach it. I ate the rest of his for him as to not waste the $7. I sadly cannot recommend.

WOW! This was the best gluten-free croissant I have ever had. Both the almond and the chocolate were delicious. I also picked up a gluten-free bread roll and it was so moist and chewy. I made a special stop when I was leaving Montreal to get more! If you eat gluten-free, you must make a stop here!

Wanted to eat here this morning for breakfast but we ended up walking out empty-handed instead (around 9: 30 am). The 2 pastry/baked good cases were only about 25-30% full, with mostly dessert-type items. When asked if they had more breakfast-type items, or croissants, we were told the croissants would take 1.5 hours to bake? ! Not sure how or why croissants take that long to bake and why there were empty cases first thing in the morning. I was so excited to try this place as I cannot eat gluten, but we ended up going elsewhere. Such a bummer.

The pastries are so good that I had to double check it was actually gluten free. Every time I come to Montreal I will be going here to get a treat. Didn’t think I’d ever be able to enjoy a flaky pastry until I learned of Le Marquis.

Absolutely wonderful bakery with fantastic staff. Must go if you are coeliac or gluten free. Best gluten free croissant anywhere! Would absolutely go back. Thank you very much.

I ordered from them on Uber Eats. Nowhere did it say the food would come frozen and I'm still not sure if that's a mistake or not. I attempted to call the store, but they neither answered nor called back (I left a message).

Also, there was frostbite on the chicken. How long was it even frozen for?

The owner called me to make things right. Their posting on Uber Eats still IMO needs work to clarify that the items ordered are frozen, but it takes effort and diligence to build a new business, and I have no doubt after speaking to him that he will correct it there.

Like everyone, I just want to be able to order something, pay for it and get it with no worries and no complications.

I look forward to seeing your business grow, and I'll revisit this review (now neutral) in the near future when I have a clear mind and an empty stomach.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! TO AVOID! I ordered 2 cakes for my wife's birthday a week in advance. I show up at the store to pick it up at 9: 30am and store was closed although the sign for opening hours showed that they open at 9am. I call them later and they tell me that they did not make my cakes.
They did not even apologize for their mistake, but instead tried to find excuses. Staff just did not care at all
DO NOT TRUST THEM FOR ANY IMPORTANT EVENTS!
As restaurant manager myself, I would have went the extra mile to apologize for such a big mistake. Never again!

I was super excited about this restaurant given its keto and gluten free options. I was disappointed twice, when they just cancelled my order without letting me know why and when they made a mistake in my order another time. The food is good though, the service and care not so much.

Delicious & gluten free.perfect for birthday cake if you or someone you love has gluten allergies. A little pricey, but very decadent, and the textures of the desserts are amazing and on point. Not overly sweet either.

Superbe découverte cette boulangerie sans gluten dans le Vieux Montréal. J'ai adoré l'éclaire aux pistaches, sans produits laitiers, un délice. Des produits de qualité, un accueil chaleureux, ça vaut vraiment le détour!

I had been waiting for the opening of this bakery for so long! And it satisfied all my expectations. Love their croissants and pastries, and was able to have a delicious log for Christmas! Best gluten free goodies I’ve had, ever!
