My recent dining experience at Le Mitoyen was regrettably overshadowed by subpar service. Ambiance was ok, food was so so, but the lack of competence and attentiveness from the service staff left much to be desired. Service timing was erratic, with prolonged delays between courses and a noticeable lack of attention to empty glasses or requests for basic amenities. The disappointing service significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the meal. I hope Le Mitoyen takes this feedback constructively, recognizing the importance of refining their service standards to match the potential of their culinary offerings.

Such a charming restaurant, feels like something out of a Christmas movie. The food was incredible, not one of the 7 dishes we tried was anything less than amazing. The dishes were complex in flavour and ingredients without ever being offensive. The highlight of our evening was Patrick, a generous and kind host with an obvious passion for his work. His love for his team and the menu was so obvious and he guided us through the menu with such enthusiasm that I felt like I sampled every item on that menu. Will be back!

C'était notre première fois. Une belle soirée expérience vécue avec ma date, il se fût une soirée avec les 7 dégustations qui sont très excellente. En plus que nous avions tous deux des allergies distinctes que nous avons fait la demande et cela a été respecté. Un gros merci.

I had scallop and wagyu steak.
Really liked rose wine - smoky and fruity at the same time.
Scallop on the dry side and lots of sauce.wagyu steak -ok just ok. Had so many sides and are that over cooked.
My red wine that supposed to go with wagyu was icy cold and not in the right class served. Why? Not sure.
Waiter completely was dismissive to me out the party of 4 people.
Not what I have expected from a place with so many stars.

So first of all we were at the table of 4 like referenced in the negative review from Biana. Everyone else had a stellar meal and the service was exceptional. We've asked her to remove the completely unfair review but so far it's still up so we felt no choice but to leave a review of our own.

This is not the first time we invited her someplace and although everyone else had a great experience she ordered something she didn't like. Let me put it in perspective. The wagu steak was a luxury item more than 3 times the price of everything else on the menu. If u order something like that you take the chance to see if you like it and if it's worth doing for you again. As stated in review it was OK so essentially just It was not matching HER expectations.

In this case the rest of us feel it was a case of buyers remorse. Imagine being the waiter and someone makes a scene perhaps even in an attempt to return a very expensive meal that simply one person doesn't like. Sure if you don't like a $30-40 meal you can do that.bring me something different please.this is not to my liking.but no you can't do that with a $140+ wagu steak. If YOU don't like it tough. Don't order it next time.

The waiter otherwise was perfect and we felt very welcome as he was personable and attentive. There was just nothing he could do about Biana in that situation.

We do not support that review and since we brought her there we feel responsible and apologize for putting the restaurant in this position. Not only was our fantastic meal partially ruined by her attitude (premature departure) and subsequent review (which came in while we were still at the restaurant), but now a fantastic restaurant and great waiter has been defamed unfairly.

Please pay no attention to that review and come see for yourself. It's a great restaurant and other people agree with us in countless reviews! Again. We've asked her to reconsider her stance but, that failing, perhaps it's best that we simply not include her from now on in our restaurant adventures.

This is a great restaurant but there are some issues preventing it from achieving 5 star status. For one, the service is extremely slow. Unless you have 3-4 hours don't bother. I enjoy fine dining & still found this insanely slow compared to other restaurants in the industry.

Food was great, but not incredible. Around the table we had bison cheek, deer steak, scallops, Tuna tartare, all of which simply met expectations. Nothing really stood out in our eyes, nothing was remarkable. They also have limited digestifs which is surprising. Value for experience is quite good, we ate very well for roughly $250 / couple with tip included.

It's a nice spot to experience on a trip, but not a place I would dine regularly, or even more than once! We enjoyed ourselves, so overall 4 stars.

C’est notre endroit préféré pour aller manger un excellent repas ma femme et moi. L’ambiance est calme et très conviviale avec de la bonne musique calme pour converser avec les gens. Les repas sont vraiment digne d’un chef évidemment, peu importe ce que tu vas commander, c’est excellent. Tu n’as pas de soucis à te faire si ce que tu vas commander est bon, ce sera simplement délicieux. Le service, à la hauteur de tout ce que je viens de mentionner.

Je ne le recommanderai jamais assez!

ps: je suis un Bastien aussi, mais je ne le connais pas le chef:). Tellement de valeur.

Belle endroit à découvrir les repas sont super délicieux. Serveur Ghislain très courtois. Nous avons vraiment aimé. Aller découvrir se petit paradis.

Hats off to Nelson for providing us with exceptional service and excellent wine recommendations! I would highly recommend this establishment if you enjoy classic French cuisine as the seafood, duck & lamb dishes stood out. Ice cream flavors were also unique and impactful.

Excellent parcontre prévoir sur place que les prix ont augmentés, au lieu de 165$ menu dégustation et vin c'est 195$. Bon service de Patrick, rapide et énergique. Tout était délicieux!

To complement our meaty indulgence, we decided to savor a magnificent lobster dish, which turned out to be nothing short of culinary art. Nous avons adoré notre soirée. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation avec l'accord vin, tout était très bon.

On Grand Prix weekend we looked outside Montreal to find a great restaurant and we were able to find a table through their app even within three hours of table time. The neighbourhood is picturesque and the house is tucked back from a pretty public square. Walking up we knew this was going to be a great experience and confirmed even more so as we walked in and greeted by the staff. The service was excellent and all the staff was very patient and kind to translate. Taking a picture with Google also quickly translated the menu. The service was timely and we never felt rushed. We choose the multi course menu with wine pairings. Expensive but worth the experience because we got to try four beautiful wines paired with all the courses. I lost count honestly but they were all made and presented to perfection. All the roast vegetables burst with flavour and the meats, shellfish, sauces and deserts were fabulous. If you want a culinary treat Le Mitoyen is a great choice!

Très bonne cuisine, mais pas de coup de coeur

J'ai Adoré ma soirée, la nourriture était au delà de mes attentes, définitivement le meilleur Filet mignon que j'ai jamais mangé!

L'ambiance était très relaxante, bon choix de musique et éclairage tamisé. C'était parfait.

Et finalement, que dire du service! J'ai beaucoup aimé entendre un bref témoignage de l'histoire du restaurent à mon arrivé. Recevoir les détails de ce que contiennent nos assiettes au moment de servir et notre serveur a été plus que pascient et précis en nous expliquant les différents choix de plats ainsi que de bon conseils sur le choix de vin pour accompagner notre repas. Excellent service très personnel et amical.

Très heureuse d'avoir découvert ce magnifique restaurant, et certainement à bientôt!

J'ai fait mon anniversaire au mitoyen. Le service etait super, l'agneau a mis tous mes invites d'accord, que dire de la viande de bison qui fondant litteralememt en bouche. Le vin etait succulent. Merci! Je reviendrai

Je vais à ce restaurant depuis au moins une quinzaines d'années et la nourriture, l'ambiance et le service ont toujours été au rendez-vous. Mardi dernier, j'y suis allé avec mon amoureuse pour la première fois depuis 2019. Nous avons eu beaucoup de déceptions dans des restaurants ou nous étions allé après la pandémie alors nous n'avions pas d'attente. Quelle belle surprise de voir que rien n'as changé! J'avais fait une réservation, même si c'était un mardi (on reserve toujours au Mitoyen). Le service était excellent et très professionnel, le serveur était discret mais ne manquais jamais d'être présent lorsque nous en avions besoin. La nourriture était toute aussi excellente qu'autrefois, c'est-à-dire formidable et l'ambiance de notre petite salle très cozy. Une belle soirée gastronomique. En quelques mots, ce restaurant vaut même un détour comme nous l'avons fait à partir de Brossard!

Juste wow! Menu dégustation incroyablement bien choisi et apprêté! Nous avons pris le temps de manger avec les accords de vins pendant 5 heures! Un service hors norme donné par Nelson!
