Le Petit Sao PSC (Pointe-Saint-Charles)

I tried the grilled chicken pho. The broth was very salty and didn't have any depth at all, not unlike authentic Vietnamese pho. We could tell the restaurant is more geared toward a non-asian, more Quebecois clientele.

I came here for lunch on November 18th, on a Saturday. I got the same cocktail. Came in different cups and different sizes. I informed the server and she told me she didn’t realize and the pink one was the only one she had and apologized. Fair enough. However The two drinks are the same drink yet somehow one tasted a bit like alcohol. The other one, barely any. It’s the same drink, they tasted differently. As well as I asked her, if the noodles always came like this. “Broken and everything” She said yes. It’s quite obvious my dish wasn’t made correctly lol. I’m Vietnamese myself. It’s a shame. Cute place though. I couldn’t even eat my meal. I left hungry.

The pho taste was very bland. Just noodles and chicken. Barely anything else. 20$ is really not worth it. The prices for other items were ridiculous.

Excellents nems, pho au poulet grillé bien parfumée et savoureuse. Ce resto offre le meilleur dans son genre.

Service courtois, rapide et amical. Délicieuse bouffe. Frais, goûteux et rapide. Merci à Maxime pour l’excellent service.

A cause de l’article apparu dans la presse, on s’est précipité au resto, quelle deception, les rouleaux goutent commercials. [ genre costco)! Mon mari a pas apprécié le porc trop cuit, sec, sans saveur! Mon poulet était bon, mais sans plus. Mon vin etait bon! LOL des gros bols mais rien goutait frais!
Beaucoup de nouilles et salade mais bon rien qui nous incitent à y retourner ou à le recommender!
Nous sommes amateurs de la cuisine viet! On retournent chez Phodothi!

It’s quite different from all the other phos that I’ve tasted before. Also there was not much options neither. Service was quick and nice

Pas le meilleur banh mi mais pas le pire non plus. Énormément de coriandre mais avec la branche.juste les feuilles seraient suffisant.

J’ai passé un très bon moment excellent repas avec des produits frais, je recommande absolument pour les fans de nourriture vietnamienne

This is my second time trying this place. First time we were hugely disappointed with their pho. Decided to give it another shot, and was disappointed again…$30 for two sandwiches, a 20 minute wait for takeout, and it’s just not impressive. Their food Lacks flavour, it’s not authentic and I think it’s overpriced.

Well the menu is not quite well, I went to take soup but they didn’t have it the menu is not complet no to much dishes

The Bahn mi and the peach drink that I ordered were delicious, but overall I found this restaurant quite overpriced. You can find a great tasting pho and Bahn mi elsewhere for much less. Their staff was super friendly though!

Delicious but I feel that for the price the portions of chicken could be more generous and the rice was mushy last time

C'était délicieux! J'ai eu la chance de manger Le bol de l'Ile avec tofu grillé. Tout était délicieux, le tofu, la sauce à la mangue, les fèves d'édamame, tout tout tout! Le service était bien. La terrasse ensoleillé m'a aussi comblée de vitamine D ;)

Bonne nourriture mais beaucoup trop chère pour les portions. 26$ incluant tip, pour des nouilles de riz, quelques légumes et 1/2 poitrine de poulet.

Petite carte, mais délicieux produits. L'endroit est authentique et le décor est magnifique. Service très rapide. On y passe une soirée tranquille à discuter.

Food was alright service was not great. Kinda felt we were annoying them by interrupting their party. They also didn't provide utensils and we arrived to the park to eat and had to ask Harveys. Maybe they were just having a bad day ‍️

Best broth dans le sud-ouest. I know chicken is a thing, but Shabu Shabu cuts could be dope. Just saying! Búnvibes & toroughly addicted!

Beau petit restaurant avec un menu limité mais efficace. Bonne qualité de plat vietnamiens. Personnel super sympathique. N'oubliez pas votre passeport vaccinal si vous mangez sur place!

I ordered grilled chicken pho, but when I back home to eat I found the chicken meat is over burnt with the black surface, which I have to throw out from my bowl. It can not be like that.

Excellente bouffe, propre, savoureux, délicieux dans la bouche! Nous y retournerons, c'est sûr!

The chicken is not marinated properly, no taste at all. What happened? Changed recipe? And the food arrived cold even though I lived only 5 minutes from the restaurant.

Banh Mi was so good! Bread's soft and generous filling. I'm already looking forward to my next one.

On ne va pas au Petit Sao pour l'authenticité, mais plutôt pour une interprétation de ce qu'est le cuisine vietnamienne. Pour une bonne pho, ça se passe ailleurs qu'ici. Par contre, leurs nems sont relativement bons et savoureux, parfois super huileux (ça dépend qui est dans la cuisine, ça varie beaucoup d'une fois à l'autre). La dernière fois qu'on y est allé, il fallait commander au comptoir! On est sorti de là et jamais plus on n'y mettra les pieds. Le service is going down the hill.

Honestly. I'm quite open minded for new stuff, trying different kinds of food. But this is.beyond my imagination. I ordered something something "grilled chicken" on the menu, and received burnt chicken breast with a sauce that I could only described it as.sauce of demon and hell.legitimately smells like sweaty foot on a hot humid summer night.and taste spicy and sour and weird all at the same time. 0 out of 10 experience.

J'ai commandé la soupe tonkinoise au poulet grillé que j'adore normalement.le bouillon était différent cette fois, moins goûteux et beaucoup trop salé,! Et je suis restée surprise de voir la facture 18$ car on m'a aussi chargé 1$ chaque petite sauce (x2) d'accompagnement normalement incluses lorsque j'y allais en take out. 18$ Yikes!

Truly AMAZING. Very fresh and delicious. First time eating there so I tried almost everything on the menu. Nothing disappointed. The Banh Mi and home made lemonade were out of this world. Returned three more times during the week. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You won’t be disappointed.

Toujours une belle expérience y aller. Le service est très amicale. Et la nourriture assez bonne aussi.
