Salmon tartare and salad were fresh and tasty. Service staff very pleasant. Meal took a little while to come, perhaps due to the time (1: 00pm) of our reservation

We spent two nights in Montreal recently and were told to come here and to L'Express. The latter, to which we went on the second night, was recommended as the best restaurant near to our hotel but we found Le Pois Penche to be far better! The food (some of our choices included onion soup, duck, bouillabaisse, brûlée flambe, and an out-of-this-world Old Fashioned) was outstanding. The service was phenomenal, provided largely but not exclusively by Guillaume, but supplemented by a well organized team of servers. The ambience could not have been better and it managed to avoid the blisteringly loud noise level of L'Express the next night. We will be back in Montreal and will definitely visit Le Pois Penche.

Great French Brasserie. We sat at the counter because it was packed and we didnt have a reso but it was just fine. Lively and busy vibe. The lamb chops and hanger steak were both great and the fries were outstanding. Our service Monica was super attentive and we really enjoyed the experience.

Was here for the brunch. Food are outstanding. Excellent service, Marwa is the BEST! Can't wait to come back for a dinner.

It is without hesitation that I recommend Pois Penché for an evening of exquisite dining or a special event. We recently hosted a private event in Le Cellier and it was impeccable in every way. From the ease of collaborating with Youssef and Imad to organize everything to the evening itself: impeccable setting and service, elegant atmosphere, delicious food and a professionalism and focus on client satisfaction like no other - Chapeaux pour ce service impeccable et pour cette qualité incomparable de nourriture.

This is my first time in Montreal, and I'm only here for 20 hours, and all I wanted to do for dinner was to have an authentic french-bistro dinner with Champagne, Oysters and Steak, and boy did this not disappoint. It was an absolutely perfect meal. The food and fine was extraordinary, the ambiance magnificent and the service impeccable. I couldn't have had a better experience. Also, I want to note that my iPhone was dying and the waiter brought me his personal battery charger - I was impressed and grateful.

Je vais réviser mon avis afin d’être plus respectueux. Pardonnez moi de vous avoir traité d’attrape touriste. Je n’ai pas aimé mon expérience bien que le service était au point. Je ne peux pas me plaindre sur beaucoup de chose, car j’ai très peu mangé dans ce restaurant. Cependant, la bouillabaisse était tiède. Ayant beaucoup d’expériences en cuisine, je sais qu’il est impératif d’avoir une température de plus de 63 degrés au minimum avec les bouillons. J’ai des doutes que cette température soit respectée de l’expérience que j’ai eu. De plus il n’y avait qu’une tasse de bouillon dans ce plat principal. C’est une très petite quantité de bouillon à mon sens. Le saumon était cuit à la perfection et le poisson blanc aussi, mais ce qui m’a le plus déplu de cette bouillabaisse, c’est le sable des moules qui cassait sous mes dents à chaque boucher. Ça manque de finesse et d’attention selon moi. Je m’attendais à quelque chose d’un peu plus gros et d’un peu plus élaboré pour 38$. J’ai donc attribué 1 étoile parce que votre restaurant ce présente comme étant plutôt haut de gamme et vos prix sont élevés, je m’attendais simplement à une bouillabaisse digne d’un restaurant haut de gamme. Je n’ai pas apprécié mon expérience et j’espère que ce commentaire sera suffisamment constructif pour ne pas vous vexer. Merci

Excellent restaurant dans la tradition des grandes brasseries françaises. Bon choix de vins au verre et plateaux de fruits de mer d'une fraîcheur irréprochable. Service courtois et efficace par un personnel formé à la française.

Loved my experience there. Our waitress was super knowledgeable about wines and pairings, efficient. Food is expensive but worth the price. Beautiful setting; you can eat inside close to the windows (they remove them in the summer so you feel like you’re outside). I had the salmon tartare, meat and ice cream and everything was absolutely delicious!
P. S.you have to have the fries with your meat they are amazing.

Ces 2 étoiles sont uniquement pour le bon service et le beau décor du restaurant. On a été 3 à aller pour le brunch et avons toutes les 3 pris "l'omelette parisienne", vu l'heure c'était notre unique repas de la journée. Elle avait un goût abordable, mais les champignons étaient ENORMES. Le jour suivant on a failli finir aux urgences. Grosse intoxication à cause des champignons inclus dans l'omelette pour toutes les 3. J'ai envoyé un email au responsable pour lui expliquer la situation mais je n'ai reçu aucune réponse. Pire expérience culinaire.

Nous y sommes allés hier soir en terrasse. Le foie gras était bon, la piece de boeuf un regal! Et alors les profiteroles presque parfaites! Un vrai goût de Paris a MTL!

J'emmènerai ma famille quand elle viendra c'est sûr!

I had an amazing experience in this restaurant. Literally, service with a smile. And the extra touches like the 1000% confidence in the cocktail, dessert and drink recommendations (I already had my eye on the steak frites for my main). Everything tasted amazing. The steak was properly cooked medium rare as requested. And I blindly asked for a red wine pairing, which also nicely matched with the meal. And for dessert… WOW. What a magnum opus. Took my breath away. It was a profiterole with vanilla ice cream, drizzled in chocolate. And I had a grappa with espresso on the side. I’m still here as I write this.

This would perhaps be the first time I say this but I would give this 6 stars if Google allowed me. Expect me to return

One of my all-time favorite restaurants in a city of restaurants.the food is consistently good, but the service and the beautiful room is what makes this place stand out.at the moment, there is only service on the terrace, but that works just fine-you can watch the passers-by on de Maisonneuve or look inside to the gorgeous bar and dining room.have some oysters and a cold gIass of white wine and imagine you're in Paris!

Had the Easter feast and the food was amazing! The lamb melts in your mouth! I've ordered before for a single portion, and the plates were quite big and sufficient. The portions for the Easter feast were way too small in my opinion, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise the staff, chef, and food was/is great!
