Le Prince Shawarma

Good food, but when I ordered a mixed plate they forgot the beef. When I mentioned this I was told I was only charged for chicken, but honestly there wasn’t a lot of meat.

So finally no beef for us that day.

This is how we went from 5 to 3 stars, without the previous photo of us enjoying our meal.

Consistency of service is vital to repeat business. I didn’t want to argue but don’t like when this situation happens. I felt they thought I was trying to get free beef or something!

The chicken sandwich is excellent and always fresh condiments. Potatoes and garlic sauce are fabulous. Plenty of other options which I have not tried yet. I'm sure they will be equally delicious.

Amazing place, Amazing service, Amazing food. Huge portions! Im a daily here & this place never disappointed me.

At first I was hesitant to go until my son had mentioned that they made the best shawarma around! So I had to see for myself and boy was my son ever right. Taste, service, ambiance and the sheer politeness of the cook that made my sandwich were all on point! Its hard to be King but now I know why they call themselves the Prince! They carry there name well!

Very bad quality, will never order from this place. The salad wasn’t fresh and the chicken was burned.

Called 30 minutes before my pick up time, arrived 34 minutes later and waited almost 30 more minutes for my order to be ready. We ordered 2 family platters for a small group for a wedding. Half our order was missing and then they wouldn’t answer our call when we tried to reach out. Worst part was there was no garlic sauce! Not only did they lose me as a customer… but everyone else at the party that was disappointed and we all live in aylmer close by. After 3 days nobody is answering the phone and there is no option to leave a message. We were regulars but lately it’s gone down hill… burnt pitas, food is questionable. Sad it was my #1 place, and I have tried all, if not most, in the area. I’ll wait for a while and maybe give it a chance at redemption.in the meantime I will try to reach out ONE more time. If anything I will update my review to be fair.

J’ai commandé au uber eat il m’ont livrer la commande d’une autre personnes je les appelles pour trouver une solution la personne au telephone ma fait savoir qu’il na pas le temps pour m’aider et que ce n’est pas de sa responsabilité si la commande est pas la bonne dans un ton tres impolie et ma raccrocher au nez. Ça fait des année que j’achete chez ce restaurant étant malade je ne pouvais me déplacer mais j’ai eu un traitement tres impoli de la part du reponsable qui ma crier au telephone avant de me raccrocher au nez. C’est un grand manque de respect total avec un service à la clientéle minable.

Je suis une habituée de cette shawarma c la meilleur mai ca fait klkes mois j'ai pri 1 poutine ca ne m'a pas plu la sauce été concentré mai ca fait 3 fois que je la prend ce mois d'aout c'est vraiment le fan, a chaque fois ke je rentre y'a le jeune maniaque ki est tout le temp en tablier qui me sert la poutine je me demandai ou je l'ai deja vu et tanto j'avai eu un flash j'été en formation a montreal exactement a outrement il été laba je prenait ke sa surtout la poutine quebecoise je l'observait cuir les ingredients c'été 1 regal, en ts les cas merci et j'en courage les gens a prendre la poutine, bonne continuation meme si je n'ai jamais osée lui demandai hi hi hi

It was our first time here but have been to other Shawarmas in and around the city over hundreds of times. I was expecting this to be pretty good because generally shawarma is pretty good all around no matter where you go with the exception of some that may be better than others.

However, I was not pleased or satisfied at all. I ordered the platter and was super hungry. The chicken was super salty. The potatoes were salty and very greasy. The hummus did not even taste like hummus. Sadly, costco hummus was much better. The salad did not seem fresh but it was ok I guess. Compared to other shawarma places, the portion was not the greatest.

In terms of service, it was great, they were good guys and was very quick.

Overall I feel this deserves a 3. I hope it changes because I live fairly close.

Mon resto préféré depuis quelques mois, je commande 1 à 2x semaine, c'est délicieux.

Malheureusement les portions sont reduites depuis peu et le prix n'a pas suivi vers le bas bien sur.

A la recherche d'un nouveau resto pref!

J'ai adoré la viande de poulet ainsi que le riz et les patates. La salade aussi était excellente, mais s'il y a moyen de rendre la viande de bœuf un peu moins salé ce serait parfait. Merci beaucoup!

Very disappointing amount of chicken in my shawarma platters. I eat shawarmas often at many different places and my last order had the least amount of meat of all restaurants I ever tried.

Trés déçu du service à la clientèle, le port du masque n'est pas respecté à 100% par les employés. Attitude désagréable et l'hygiène pour la préparation des sandwich est à repenser.

J ai commander deux plat au poulet mais malheureusement tt a ete jeter a la poubelle.on a pas aimer moi et ma femme a part les patate que moi j reussi a manger

What else can I say except that the food is good, you get allot of it and it's pretty inexpensive. Sure, this might not be the friendliest store I've been in, but they never made mistakes while making my food. All around a solid place to go for a quick meal.

Portions très généreuses, poulet juteux, salades fraîches et le tout bien assaisonné. Ce restaurant satisfait toujours mes envies de shawarma. Un pur délice!

Chicken was terrible quality. Fatty and slimy with absolutely no taste. Salad was just olives and lettuce? Not real shawarma.barely even "food".

Food is always fresh and tasty, and although the service is friendly it is very slow!

We have driven up and left several times due to the long line up and went elsewhere. The past 2 times that we decided to wait it took almost 20 mins.each time which is much too long for shawarma.

In the time that we waiting today 5 other customers came and left.

We want to support local but they need to get more organized and serve customers faster.

Not well packed food was all over the bag! Asked for no hot peppers or olives and of course they put extra like not cook at all would not recommend this place they absolutely don't care about there customers

Je ne suis pas 1 pour chialer mais serieux le Proprietaire devrait faire sure que ses employes servent du pain frais et surtout d'avoir des enployes avec un sourire!

Worst customer service. I’ve ever had walked in, was the only customer there, staff ignored my presence for 5 minutes. Had to leave. First writing a 1 star review, I had too sorry.

Let’s say that the food is okay, not great. First thing I didn’t like is that nowhere does it say that it’s HALAL or Kosher, so you only assume that it is. I called them and they said it’s HALAL. I ordered a chicken combo, a mixed plate, a chicken poutine and a beef sandwich via Uber. I never received the poutine or the beef sandwich. I called them and they said I can get them next time I order. I called them today so that they can add this to my Uber order, the person on the phone said he’s busy and can’t accept any further orders. I hate to give such a bad review to this restaurant owned/managed by my Moroccan brothers, but neither the service nor the food is at the level of such a reputable cuisine. I am frustrated and this is indeed frustrating! Maybe when I calm down I can change my mind, but for now this place doesn’t even deserve anything higher than a ZERO!

I miss living on the Plateau due to this restaurant. Their shawarma plate is by far the best I've had in Gatineau/Ottawa. The others don't even come close.

After telling the cook I couldn't find any other place that was as good, he told me it's because they use Moroccan spices rather than the typical Lebanese.

We go back here often even though it's now a 40 minutes drive.

This place has the best shawarma I've ever had. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. One meal makes 3 for me at home.

Je suis allé une seule fois. J'ai pris un shawarma au poulet. Pas le meilleur que j'ai mangé. Un peu sec, pas assez de sauce. Le petit format est un peu cher. L'employé parlait au téléphone tout le long (avec son écouteur à l'oreille). Un petit manque de professionalisme. Je suis quelque peu déçue mais j'y donnerai peut être une deuxième chance.

Been coming here since the place opened. Very solid shawarma's and the potatoes are stellar. Food and veggies are always fresh. Staff is kind and welcoming. Best Shawarma in the area.

Worse arab food my wife and I ever had. The rice wasn't cooked properly and the falafel is like eating dust. The gyro wasn't horrible, had to throw it out after the first few bites. Will never be back.

BEST SHAWARMA I'VE TASTED! They have good prices and every order is made with care, they fill up all the sandwiches properly and you don't have to wait too much to recieve your order. 10/10

Went here last Friday. Absolutely delicious Shawarma! We had 2 mix plate and was enough for the evening and lunch the next day! The people server are nice to and helped with my limited french. Highly recommended if your looking for a shawarma in the Plateau.

We always get our shawarma plates here. The salad is the best one that we've tried. The dressing is good and it's not all beets and pickles. The lettuce is fresh and the tomatoes are nice. The hummus and garlic sauce are also good. The chicken shawarma meat is typically good, though sometimes there is too much "crust" - but no more than any other shawarma place. I really enjoy the brochettes. The potatoes are usually good too, though sometimes just average. They give a lot in a plate, great value. We feed two adults and three kids with two plates.

Best Shawarma in the plateau area and best donair beef I've eaten in Ottawa. Staff are super friendly and the renovations they have done to the interior are really nice.
