Always my go-to spot for Indian flavours in downtown MTL. Heads up - it's busy even on Tuesdays

This restaurant is for non Indians who don’t know real Indian food. The service is good but that doesn’t make up for tasteless bland food. This is a disgrace to Indian food. As an Indian I highly recommend not to eat here.

It is a pretty restaurant but a bit expensive for what it is. I feel that portions are small and it is a decent restaurant. It has various choices. The naan is so awesome tho. Got a bottle of alcohol and service was really good

Incredible Indian food in a chic yet cozy setting. This place has been around for so many years and has been so consistent with the quality of its food and service. A wonderful dining experience and truly some of the best Indian food you can find in Montreal.

Great food and service. Get the feast dinner totally worth it! The chicken was incredibly juicy and the flavors were spot on.

Been going to this place for over 20 years. A little more upscale than other Indian restaurants, but the food is fantastic.

They rush client to leave, so they can seat somebody else.

This is my second visit to this place but this time with family. We did the prior reservation which is must.

You can have fine dining experience at this place. The owner started the place 35 years ago and chef is working for last 30 years. He ensure that the guest are well taken care of.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal so it is very busy. Make sure to have reservations before going. The staff is very helpful and give us the place without reservations. It was full on Tuesday evening so you can imagine weekends.

Had a dinner with local Montreal friend at this place. Here is the food list:

- Veg korma Curry *****
- Daal soup *****
- Onion Bhajia *****
- Garlic Naan *****
- Rice Pulao *****

The place is fully accessible and nicely decorated. You will feel Indian touch everywhere which is superb.

Staff is superb and some of them working at this place for 36 years (restaurant is 37 years old) so big congratulations to the owner to build an amazing place.

Washroom are clean and maintained well.

Had the pleasure of visiting this lovely Indian restaurant in August while on a week away in Montreal. The food was very good…. Not very spicy. Portions were very good. Our server was ever so nice. The location is great, close to downtown shopping. We were staying close by at a lovely hotel. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Montreal.

Nous sommes clients depuis plus de 20 ans! Tout est excellent. Le poulet au beurre est une merveille.
Ce sont des serveurs de métier. Le service est impeccable et soigné.

Des portions largement suffisantes pour deux, service très rapide, hôtesse souriante et accueillante. Évidemment une nourriture pleine de saveurs.

The most boring Indian food I have ever eaten. NONE of the dishes we ordered had ANY of the signature deep fragrant flavours that you would expect. Thoroughly disappointed.

Today I went for a dinner with my cousin. At front desk the girl was really nice. I forgot to ask the name of the gentleman who was serving us. He was really polite. The environment was really good and the food was tasty.

We were a group of 8. The waiter proposed a set menu for 6 people "most groups go for this") at $C65/pp. In the end, with very limited alcohol, plus the crazy tips in north America, it was €101/pp with half the food not eaten. If they had proposed 5 portions of the menu, and we could have ordered more if we wanted that would have been ok. But then their tip wouldn't have been so much.

This superb restaurant serves absolutely delicious food that is - rarely one finds in North America - authentically Indian. The ambiance reminded me of restaurants where I have eaten in Mumbai. Service was attentive without being obsequious. My friends and I had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

Extremely disappointed and rude staff. Asked if they could make our meal spicy and got sarcastic remarks in return. The kicker for us was when we asked for more naan and saabji and they brought the naan 20-30 minutes before any saabji. At that point it was ice cold. The server then went to say “this is not india” and walked away. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted at the racist remarks and lack of care. DO NOT recommend.

Very disheartened and discourteous staff. Inquired as to whether they could make our dinner zesty and received wry comments consequently. The kicker for us was the point at which we requested more naan and saabji and they brought the naan 20-30 minutes before any saabji. By then it was super cold. The server then, at that point, went to say "this isn't india" and left. I'm past disheartened and nauseated at the bigoted comments and absence of care. Try not to suggest.
