Amazing place to go to if you’re craving the nostalgia and pace of a classic American breakfast joint. Le vieux’s clientele includes people of all sizes, shapes and ages - what a beautiful way to see the Montreal community! Food is delicious and wait staff are self aware. I think I crave validation from the waitresses here more than my own mother

Once seated at your table, you’re served an ice cold water and a cup of bottomless hot drip coffee. You won’t have to wait long after you order. Even when they’re slammed from the weekend brunchers. The food is made the same way every time, and the portions are sizable. The servers are professional and friendly.

I’ve spent lots of time in this establishment and I have many hungover memories with my friends here. I highly recommend.

Delicious food with so many vegetarian options. Amazing service. Staff was extremely good and welcoming. Served my toddler with watermelon.so thoughtful of them! Would love to visit back someday

Well it used to be one of my favorite spots for lunch. Went on Wednesday, July 5th. Quality has gone down, food is not good.
Only thing that is still the same, is the waitress is wonderful.

Finally checked out legendary Le Vieux St-Laurent, and it was alright. The place has been around since 1995 and it sure has its following. Old school diner vibes, with an encyclopedia for a menu! The food was good, it was what one would expect. Nothing extraordinary to have you coming back for more. The service was slow and lacking. Forgot a water, got coffee instead of decaf, no sugar substitutes and no quality checks. You take it for what it is, and I can respect that! Lots of food for the price, and we all left full.

If you want Eggs Benedict in Montreal, don't go to some silly franchised chain that is only trying to make boring meals, visit VSL and enjoy the best breakfast in town. The eggs are perfect, the potatoes are flavorful and perfectly cooked and the atmosphere brings you back to a time where families owned businesses and breakfasts filled you up for the day.

The staff was polite and communicated clearly and worked very quickly to provide refills and any requests, their effort was seen with every lap of the dining room. Making sure ALL tables were addressed with each pass.

I will be back for sure.

Be careful, they have fragile glasses, i just wanted to dring water it got broken from the bottom, also staff was very rude,

The food was absolutely delicious, The venue itself is of course a bit outdated and really small and cozy. The waiter was nice, no complaints. I just wish they had another option besides pork bacon, or a substitution for ham and sausages for those who cannot eat those it makes it harder to order. Other than that excellent.
